This was my 2nd stay here. I was able to check-in earlier than expected. Location is perfect for everywhere I needed to go. I definitely recommend this rental & the host Joana!

We had to make a last minute change to this VRBO and the manager/host was so helpful. The house was clean, all little kitchen appliances were there making it easy to do quick meals. Just wish pool could be heated. We were there mid March. Has a garage to park in which we really liked. Overall, great stay.

The location was convenient to all of my dad's doctor's appointments. Food & shopping was right up the street. Close enough to the airport for an early morning flight, however not too close to have to deal with the noise of the planes. I had to work remotely while on my trip & the designated work space was ideal for my needs. The host responded back to my questions in a very timely manner. Sometimes right after I hit send. Bed was extremely comfortable! The kitchen had some snacks & bottles of water available. I will definitely look for this property for future visits to the McAllen area!

Fantastic condo in a safe neighborhood. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We drove in past 2 am, host was extremely detailed to make sure we knew exactly how to find her home. The home was immaculate, our hungry teenagers were extremely grateful for snacks provided, and the beds were heaven !!! We also came with a 2 year old and the home was very minimalist, nothing really my boy could break. Definitely saving this rental as a favorite.

It was very clean and well organized. When needing my questions answered the property manager was able to answer and answer my text messages and calls.

Location was good once we figured out the entry. Small for our stay, not enough sitting area. Way too small TV room. Overall good for a 3day stay, but could not do it for longer. Dining area way too small as well. But great for a small family but not a big one.

The house was nice . My kids loved the stay. I like that the house was right next to the pool . Everything was great. I will definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay in this property. Convenient location. Neighborhood secure and quite. Can upgrade the dinner table and stools. Can use a deep detail cleaning.

Everything was perfect, Joann and PJ were on top of everything. After a long day the pool area was amazing to relax and refresh. Would definitely stay again, recommend this property.

Quick weekend stay.

Easy to get in and out no problem. My family and I really enjoyed staying here. There was a few something like loose screws on cabinets and door lock and the drier not work very well. Other then these minor issue the stay was great. We will definitely be staying there again. We wish we was able to write in the guest book but we will write in it next time . Thank you Joana and PJ we will be contacting you again once we decide to go down there again.

Selected Joana’s property for a last minute trip to McAllen to reconnect with friends and get away from the cold front in Dallas. This property was perfect for our group. Close enough to places we wanted to go downtown but there were moments that we didn’t even want to! The pool and weather combined for a great day activity and the living space was cozy enough to get away from the sun when it got too hot. A very comfortable and clean home that I will certainly recommend to others and consider for future travel plans!

My wife and I stayed here for a month. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Whenever we had a question, Joana was quick to respond. When we needed a power cord for the computer, her son promptly delivered it. The location was close to a golf course, community centers, movie theatre, restaurants and other attractions. We felt safe and comfortable during our entire stay. Thank You, Joana and P.J.!

The property was nice. The only issue was the thermostat was programed and could not get it to stay under 77.

It was like a home away from home experience and in was located in the center of everything to do in McAllen and more.

Rented 6 nights/stayed 2. Level of cleanliness was very poor. Very little cookware & silverware, no dining table & no place to hang out together after long work day. Lots of misc personal items throughout. BEWARE: Shady Owners Upon arrival 8/7/20, I called Joann because garage door was stuck in open position. I expressed my initial concerns w kitchen. Her husband verbally attacked me(very defensive & aggressive). He told me I could make complaint & cancel reservation, but I would pay for 2 nights. I said I would write review & I politely disconnected. She called me back & apologized for husbands behavior & said they manage property for son who lives here. Another son & older gentleman came to fix garage door unsuccessfully, had to leave it unsecured but no one called or came next day to fix. We cancelled within hrs & booked another VRBO. Joann has since sent me messages after checkout in retaliation for expressing my displeasure & stating I would write review about our experience. KITCHEN • Drawers/cabinets being used as junk drawers(nose hair trimmers, rusty tools, crayons, dust, receipts, paperwork, used toothpaste, old batteries, ect) • Dirty dishes & almost no silverware & the few pieces were dirty in dishwasher • Very little kitchenware, unappealing, mismatched, & missing pieces • Food in refrig & cabinets incl used items • Surfaces appear clean but upon closer look, it left us feeling very uncomfortable • Sticky gooey underside on bar stools • No table to eat at LAUNDRY ROOM • Towels in dryer LIVING ROOM • Camera with microphone pointed into living area. (Creepy!) & VBRO violation maybe illegal. • Only seating for 1-2people STAIRWELL • Totally Dark, No working light/safety hazard at night • Heavy cobwebs on ceiling MASTER BEDROOM • Filthy mated down Rug • damaged door, must have been kicked in & repaired incorrectly • Spots missing paint BATHROOMS • Personal items • Shower doesn't drain • No towels • Used shampoo/conditioner, soap in shower • Rusty showerhead (master) • Hair balls in shower drain & sink (bath2) MASTER CLOSET • Personal items including not so appealing suitcase SHARED BATH • Doorknobs on 2 bathroom doors reversed as if setup to lock someone in bathroom GARAGE • Garage opener doesn't function correctly. Couldn't close door, had to leave partially open & unsecured Based on everything else, questionable cleanliness of bedding. Interior of all cabinets need a deep clean. Pictures submitted to VRBO.

We had a most pleasant stay. Host was very friendly and responsive. This modern townhome was very neat and clean, well maintained and equipped with everthing we needed. Plenty of space for our family of five. We were very comfortable, and the added benifit of a garage and gated community offered extra safety and security.

Very clean. Pool right outside the main entrance. Owners are very responsive.

The location has great access to anything you might need in McAllen. The ease of check in was great and the property manager remained available to me and checked in on my needs during the stay. Great place!

Condo was very clean and also had sufficient amenities. If I should ever return to McAllen area, I would definitely consider renting condo again.

JoAnne and PJ are excellent hosts. I felt welcomed from the time I walked in the door. They are serious about a guest having access to the kitchen most any time; JoAnne even offered to prepare a meal periodically. And the day I left, she made me a delicious breakfast sandwich to eat as I traveled. The room I had was a nice sized bedroom with big closet and a TV (if you like/want a TV). They do not have satellite or cable, so I suggest you bring a fire stick, or equivalent, for TV access. In this particular room, I shared a bath with the hosts, but there was no problem with access almost always when I needed it. All in all, the hosts are excellent! The rental fee is quite reasonable, too. Thank you JoAnne and PJ.
