My wife and adult son stayed at Mockingbird Pointe during the second week in August. The property was everything we expected, then some. The initial impression is that the owners take great pride in landscaping, which was meticulously kept with tropical foliage. The pool was amazing and offered great relief from the August humidity. The table and lounge chairs placed in the shallow section was a nice touch! We rented a boat for the week and used the dock and fish cleaning table, which were excellent. The house was in a great location, convenient to Sombrero Beach, Publix, and restaurants. There are plenty of bikes to use, as well as kayaks with a convenient launch right on the property. Inside, the house was clean and had plenty of amenities. We would definitely come back to this piece of paradise!

The property was as expected. Everything was extremely clean and comfortable. The pool and property is very private and you feel unlike any other rental we have visited in Marathon.
Phil was very responsive and welcoming. He helped us quickly get dialed into the fishing and addressed any questions immediately. We really appreciated his help and responsiveness.

Mockingbird Pointe is beautiful. The feel overall is very private and lush. The house is beautifully decorated and kept very clean. The pool is fabulous and so relaxing with gorgeous landscaping and views. The wrap around porch is fantastic. There are several (I think I counted 12) bicycles of various sizes for families, 3 kayaks and all the accessories necessary for a fun kayak ride right from the house. Sombrero Beach is beautiful and just a few minutes ride away. The location is perfect to stay centrally located so you can visit all the Keys. Highly recommend taking a charter to the Islamorada Sandbar and spending a few relaxing hours there. The fishing boat trips are also fabulous. Fort Zachary Taylor Beach in Key West was gorgeous, as well as Bahia Honda Key. We all had a fabulous week there, so much so, we already re-booked our next stay!

You'll feel like you are at your very own mini resort. Great location and perfect set up for adults and kids alike. The owners checked on us soon after we arrived. They have thought of everything to make for a perfect stay.

We chose this listing as we loved the lush landscape, privacy, and shade this property offered. Additionally, it is tucked back on a culdesac so there’s not much traffic and it offers more parking than your usual house in the area. Although there are no fans on the wraparound porch, it provided a great escape for our little one who is less than a year and a very active crawler. The pool, of course, is roomy enough for the entire family and then some! Overall, we are satisfied with our stay and would recommend to others.

This was our 3rd stay at this perfect home. The location is ideal.The property has the most beautiful landscaping that gives it a very secluded feel. We enjoyed the pool everyday and the screened porch at night. We kayaked, took bike rides and just appreciated our surroundings. Phil and Linda are wonderful and caring hosts. They are always available if needed. Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise. We look forward to returning next year!

This is a superb Keys rental that feels like your own secluded resort.
Owner is kind and super responsive with all communications.
The home is as per advertisement, clean, and stocked. We loved the screened porch which we sat out having coffee breakfast and evening drink. All the rooms have opening doors which in the morning was fab to let the keys breeze flow through.
The heated pool was a treat, the garden tastefully landscaped and very private.
We enjoyed fishing off the dock catching many variations of fish, at night the dock light was cool to watch the fish and wildlife such as manatee pop by.
Kitchen well stocked with coffee, sugar, spices, soap etc...
Would defiantly return and recommend to anyone.

We had a great Spring Break at your home. Thank you for sharing. The location was fantastic. The kids loved riding bikes and we all enjoyed fishing right off the dock catching tons of fish. The pool was also fantastic.

We loved the house and location. We felt like we were at our own tropical resort. Private and relaxing. We had plenty of room to dock our rented boat. We saw Manatees off the dock!! The pool was so warm and enjoyable! We are hoping to book again in the future!

This was our first trip to the keys and this home was perfect. Property was easy to access, clean and had everything we needed. Pool was perfectly heated for night time swimming. Caught many different types of fish off of dock including Snook and Tarpon. Also had daily visits from Manatees which was magical. Would not hesitate to book this property again.

This house was way more beautiful than the pictures could show! It was like our own private resort. Thoughtfully equipped with comfortable furniture and beds everywhere. We love Marathon and the house was in a perfect location.
The owners were prompt in helpful with any questions asked. My favorite place was sitting in the pool under the umbrella. Loved our stay!

We have been anticipating and planning this trip for well over a year. The home was everything we wanted and more. The check in process was so easy. The property feels secluded and tropical. It was close enough to everything with that private feel. It was very clean and had everything we needed. Phil and Linda were so easy to get a hold of. They even sent over extensive info on where to go and where to eat. It was perfect. We spent a couple days just enjoying the outdoor pool area. Absolutely beautiful. I can’t say enough about how amazing our stay was.

The house was absolutely gorgeous and peaceful. On the weekend evenings we could hear the live music from a local bar but it added to the ambience of the island vibe, not loud at all. The Iguana which I’m sure calls the area home was always a little exciting and the Manatee that visited us on the doc a few evenings were incredible. We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home.

The property was accurately portrayed in the listing. Clean, landscaping and location amazing. Importantly the use of the fishing rods, bikes and kayaks certainly was a real nice touch and used. All in all, exactly what we hoped for. Only issue, and not the owners issue, was that the garbage cans and recycling bin was full from last renters. Plus we had to sort out the garbage mixed in with the recyclables. Minor issue, but not with the property.

The house and property is amazing, a tropical paradise! The landscaping and pool area is top notch with amazing views, plus lots of wild life (manatees at the dock and iguanas, lizards all over the property). The house is phenomenal and the screened in porch is the best!

This property was in the ideal location. Very close to the beach, shopping, restaurants and activities. The landscaping around the house made it feel very private but also had great views from the back of the house. The pool area was wonderful. Great place to relax. Inside of the house was comfortable and cozy. I would definitely stay here again.

Loved the location of this home and the outdoor things such as the kayaks and fishing gear was a great touch !! Loved to fish off the docks and enjoy the water view from the hammock. Wasn’t over touristy but close enough to go to other spots and come back to the privacy our home and backyard provided.

We loved our vacation. We swam and fished every day. Lush tropical landscaping surrounded the pool. We caught the most fish off the dock than we have ever caught before- snapper, pork fish, black drum- you name it! A short bike ride to Publix and to the beach- super convenient!

The description is accurate but the real thing is even better. We got lucky and found a cancellation and I see why this house books up really early. The outdoor space is amazing. Pool has a little shade somewhere all day. Pool lounges are super comfortable. Umbrella and chairs in the pool were great and kept us cool. Screened patio has great view and chairs are comfortable. Hammock chair is nap worthy. Inside bedrooms have plenty of room. Baths are updated and clean. Kitchen (and outdoor grill) made cooking a breeze. Tv room can seat 7 comfortably. The bikes, kayaks, coolers, beach umbrella, pool noodles, footballs, and fishing rods were all a great bonus. The house sits on a large lagoon, not the tiny canals like most of the houses in Vaca Key. Pulling off Hwy 1 (signalized intersection, so easy in and out) you immediately relax and get into vacation mode. Plenty of really good restaurants within 10 minute drive. 2 good grocery stores, 5 minutes. Sombrero beach, a good beach for the keys, is very close, very easy to get to and felt very safe. With decent weather, easy to bike to beach, bars, grocery etc…

We absolutely loved the house, location, and amenities! The kayaks and bikes were so nice to have. The pool area is so beautiful and the hammock was the perfect spot for some relaxing time and watching the sunset. Fished everyday off the dock. Took kayaks out and paddled to the local sandbar. So much to do and enjoyed every minute of it!!

A wonderful property beautiful pool and home.
Loved the wrap around deck perfect morning coffee and perfect place at night for a drink to wind down.
We celebrated with my son getting engaged at the beach around the corner. Then a few days later he bought a boat.
We had other family in town and we went to a few local restaurants....perfect
The owners were helpful with everything.
Wish our vacation never ended.

Had a great stay as we've stayed here many times over the years. Couldn't ask for a quieter area and the owners were very good with communication.
Highly recommend for anyone wanting to rent a house in the keys.

We loved the property. The outside space is outstanding between the foliage, pool, lounge seating and tiki hut and all within view of the water. It was hot and sunny so it was nice to have both sun and shade options whether in or out of the pool. The house is thoughtfully well-stocked and had everything we needed to cook. We loved exploring the canals on the kayak and we saw a manatee. We had intended to to more activities and explore more of the Keys, but we loved the property and found it very relaxing that we did not leave. Philip and Linda were great hosts; they provided great instructions and recommendations and made sure they we knew they were available during our stay. I highly recommend this property and would definitely stay again if returning to the Keys.

This was our second time staying at Mockingbird Pointe. This beautiful home has everything you need. The house is clean, comfortable and well stocked. Love the new grill! The wrap around screened porch is great for sitting out at night. The landscaping is beautiful and makes the amazing pool area very private. We enjoyed having use of the bikes and kayaks during our stay.
Phil and Linda are always available if needed. We appreciate them sharing their home. We can't wait to go back again!

From the very first communication with the owner I was so sure it was going to be a great trip experience. The property is so unique compared to other VRBO’s we have stayed at. The venue is amazing and Phil and Linda are the best hosts! Very private property including private pool. Even looking at the rest of homes in this development, this home away from home is the best ever!!

The house and grounds were awesome. We spent a lot of time in the pool. We also used the kayaks and my son used the fishing equipment to fish off the pier. Once he went and purchased fresh shrimp the fishing was great. I would recommend the house for a relaxing family vacation. It was all we had hoped for!
