Staff was always available for help

Hotel restaurant was smelling , not many people visit there , it is not a property for family trip

Windermere inn is a very good hotel & resort for stay in shillong. It is located some distance away from the centre but for a family holiday it is a good place away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The facilities are superb and the staff are very polite and helpful. The restaurant Bresto 16 serves very delicious food. Overall a very good resort.

The location of this place is outside the main city. It is a beautiful large resort. Self contained. Good lawns and long views. Being outside the city means peace and quiet . And city is not far off. Especially, we had our hired vehicle so it was not a problem. The rooms and place was clean . Staff was young, polite and ever helping. On two days of our 3 days trip, we had to leave resort early for site seeing and they happily agreed to provide packed breakfast instead of our included buffet breakfast without a crib. In fact even at 6.30 am boxes were delivered to rooms on time. The restaurant was opened for us, i assumed not many guests. The food was good. They don't have local cuisine but Pork ribs I tried was too good. I would definitely recommend this hotel for stays.

The water motor caused a lot of noise whenever someone in the building used the washroom.

The room was neat nd clean With all facilities.

I loved the room size the amenities and the beautiful lobby and oak panelled staircase to the room The balcony and view was really pretty too Quiet and serene location a little way from the bustle and traffic decent breakfast choice in dining area just opposite our room

Good stay overall

Limited choice in dining hall. One needs to ask if other choices are available. No breads and bread toaster in dining hall.

The kind of atmosphere it provides and also the scenic beauty of the place. Apart from that the rooms are really spacious and comfortable. Also the staff are really sweet and helpful. The food is also great and the breakfast is simply awesome.

Beautiful property which was very well maintained.Everything has been thoughtfully provided to ensure a great guest experience.The staff was extremely helpful, proactive and polite.Thanks for a delightful experience despite our short stay.Would love to come back and stay longer.All the best to the team

The first night was a downer, the extra bed flapped closed and i fell, twice. However, the management responded adequately. The rooms were clean. Breakfast needs a major revamp, the food not up to the mark. The city is busy on weekends, which is understandable, however there needs an upping on the overall services.

Fix the extra beds pls. Somebody will have a big fall and sue the daylights out of you. There is mould in the shower stall corners. You could fix a TV in the living room of 301. The girls in the dining room are extremely pleasant. Pls pls pls get an AMEX card machine.

The welcome, the help in organising visits and the food. The food really was delicious,large servings but so tasty we finished everything. Room was lovely and spacious, constant hot water in the very clean bathroom. Staff at front desk, restaurant and housekeeping were very cheerful and attentive.

The hotel is out of town which we had hoped meant we would get nice views from the balcony, but unfortunately it just looked over the road and reception.
