The location of the hostel was quite good. The neighborhood is beautiful. Minor Mosque is within walking distance. The room was clean. They provided clean towels. And the breakfast was sumptuous. The staff were courteous and helpful. The bathrooms were clean although a bit small. I would like to return here again.
The bathrooms were a bit small, but they were clean enough.

Great property at a great price. Located in quite locality. The hostel is clean and the rooms were spacious with spacious beds. Breakfast is also provided.
Had to carry luggage to 1st floor as there are no lifts.

The room we booked was great. However, we had to fight a little to actually get it. When we arrived, we were given a room with no windows, more cramped, depressing, and cheaper than what we'd paid for. When we went to say that it was not the room we booked, we were told that the one we booked was full and that was all they had. After some discussion, we were eventually told that ok, we could have the one we booked but only for the next two of the three nights we'd booked. We were then told that we could get a refund for the cost difference for the first night. However, we only got the refund when checking out and only because we asked about it (they were otherwise just not going to give it to us). It was a shame that we had to push just to get what we had booked and paid for. At least though, after pushing, we did get it, and then the stay was great (why we give it a 7 rather than much lower). Breakfast was great, and overall, everyone working there was really friendly. If we'd got the room we booked from the start, or at least not had to push to get it (we felt a bit awkward and guilty due to this for the rest of our stay), we'd have given the place a 10. Just beware, you may book a beautiful room with a window, and in the end just get a room that feels more like a prison cell.

The hostel was very clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The room we had was quite spacious with good lighting and the air-conditioning worked well. Breakfast was very good. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
Didn't really like having to take our shoes off at the bottom of the stairs when the stair carpet was quite worn with sharp edges on the stairs and not the cleanest carpet.. Better to have a shoe rack on each floor instead.

We decided to stay in this hostel again coming back from our trip around the rest of Uzbekistan. But this was a mistake. Please see detailed breakdown:
Air con works well + 1 points
Appreciate able to stay in property after check out (because laundry was not dry yet) + 1 points
Some of the staff here work hard to keep the place clean ish + 1 points
Able to use card machine to pay + 1 points
Reasonably priced despite the issues below
When we first stayed here we developed some really bad diarrhoea and cramps. We thought it must be the food we ate outside and recovered when we went to the rest of Uzbekistan (Samarkand Khiva etc) as soon as we came back to this hostel we developed diarrhoea again. I’m not sure what is causing it but there is something unclean in the water or breakfast here because this seems to happen when we stay here - 3 points
Paid to do laundry - they tried to return to us still a bit damp and when we wanted to wait for it to be drier they just didn’t have anything to do with it and so we had to check on it and fold ourselves. I don’t mind doing my own laundry and paying 15000 som to use the machines but $2 USD is for a poor service = -1 points
Towels now have a bad smell. Last time we stayed the towels here smelt very fresh and clean but the towels we were given now smell damp and unclean. Probably because there have been more guests in high season and they don’t have the time to clean and dry the linens properly. This can be fixed by using the tumble dryer which they have - 2 points
Showers on first floor had twigs and leaves in one day and one of the showers on the second floor toggle for shower head does not work. The shelf to place soaps in the other cubicle in the shower on the first floor was also broken. Therefore for females there was only one shower that was functional. - 1 points
Really bad smell in toilets sometimes because the exhaust fan does not work - 1 point
Water dispenser in kitchen is filled with some weird tasting and smelling water. I think they refill this dispenser with boiled water or something but it tastes horrible like algae - probably haven’t cleaned the dispenser in ages. I only took 1 sip from this but my partner had a lot and we both had bad stomachs afterwards. I am not sure if this is the culprit as last time we didn’t drink from this dispenser and still got a bad stomach - 3 points

Staff is friendly and nice. They are always smiling and happy.
The beds are not comfortable. The life of spring beds is gone and it's not firm anymore.
Also - was expecting some help in planning things in Tashkent but if you are a non-Russian speaker it's a but difficult to converse and get help.

The room has a really big window and natural light. The room is clean and spacious. The breakfast is delicious and big portions . The boy from the reception is friendly and helpful, he speaks good English.
They tried to give us another room because they didn't have available the one we booked , without mentioning anything and we needed to change the room after first night but they gave us a discount which was ok for us.

Free breakfast, really nice location, friendly and sweet staff , has AC and a great value.
The beds were not the most comfortable. The bathroom and some areas can use more ventilation, but these are all common Central asian problems.

It was a nice, clean, well-decorated hostel with interesting art on the walls. The breakfast quality was generally okay, though for about 3 of my 13 breakfasts the quality dipped. The room was spacious, clean, bright and often cleaned - I had a double bed and a bunk bed, and a couple of other bits of furnishing. All very comfortable. Location was a little north of most things, but the Telecom tower and zoo were nearer - south along the river Navoi Road was about 20 minutes away. The nearest metro station (Minor) was about 22-25 minutes walk away.
The real stinker was the internet (either intermittent and weak on a good day, but often non-existent). The excuses for the shocking internet (rain, 'it's the same everywhere' ... not true) didn't help. The bathrooms were a bit pongy (though looked clean). But aside from the inexcusable poor internet, at the prices charged it was good value for money, though most of the guests were surly, unpleasant Russians - a shame.

clean, comfortable, warm floors in VC, perfect noise insulation
it was almost perfect, except the luck of receptionists, that guy from photo had to arrive to check me in, in other words, i wait him more than half of hour

Most things except some lunatic guests talking all night loudly and real dirty old man barging into shower.
Breakfast was good.
Some bad mannered guests

We really liked the place. We stayed in a room with 4 beds. The room and the bathroom was really clean. There was a spacious dining area in the basement where I could work. The breakfast was nice, too.

Friendly personal and a very tasty breakfast :) beautiful place outside :)
In the next room playing loud music before 11 p.m. It was uncomfortable...

Location is good, near the river bank and in walking distance from the metro station. Helpful staff. Good breakfast. Clean rooms and facilities. I loved the "no shoes inside" policy.

everything was great
wifi didn’t work in the room on some days, it only worked in the kitchen
2.5 / 5.0
The breakfast is decent.
1. No lockers - I felt being lied about the lockers.
I wrote the property asking about locker. The property reply "no worry we will find you a locker".
There are no lockers in the entire hostel; only a storage room - I ended up storing my backpack in the storage room; and carrying my laptop with me when I went sight-seeing.
2. Electric outlets/socket is not near the bed; there is only 1 socket in the room.
3. No slippers for the bathroom/toilet when it is required that our shoes are removed at the entrance of the hostel.
4. location is not so good.

The breakfast was amazing! Fairly clean
Location in residential area, 20 min walk to metro, staff spoke no English, other guests had to translate, mostly longer term residents so not much social atmosphere
2.5 / 5.0
The staff was really unhelpful. Wi-Fi did not work over the whole stay and we asked several times, they always told us they would repair it the next day but never did. The location is really bad, you need a taxi basically to any sight.
3.0 / 5.0
The staff is helpful even though only one guy (the one in the picture) speaks English. The room is very spatious and clean.
Unfortunately the position is not the best as it takes 20m walk to the nearest metro station. It says on booking it has a terrace but there was no terrace. I wasn’t given any registration paper.
3.0 / 5.0
The room was spacious and very clean, the location near to the old city and the main monuments, the staff who was very helpful.
The vibe is really strange. It looks like a place who wants to become a hostel for international travelers, but most of the people that stay there are middle aged workers and their families that seem to live in this place. It was a very uncomfortable feeling cause there's no way to meet other travelers and it's like being an unwanted guest. The service is OK (not wonderful as lots of reviews say) but I wouldn't go back there, I don't get why the hostel is so overrated.
