Really nice and attentive staff and a very good restaurant

Not having air conditioning when it was advertised that our room that we booked had air conditioning, however once we brought it up with staff our problem was resolved

Got told when we got there we would have no hot water in the room we booked which was not made clear when booking, we were then told we would need to pay an extortionate amount to upgrade.

The best place to stay in Haad Rin. House of Sanskara is tucked away at the end of the bay. This is the nicer and cleaner end of Haad Rin, but it’s only a short walk to the nightlife and action. The bungalows are basic, clean and comfortable. The main house/cafe/restaurant is fantastic. They serve Thai and European food. Their breakfast, teas and juices are amazing. Some of my favourites were - fruit breakfast, oatmeal pancakes, Tom Tum fried rice, spring rolls, tempura seafood, vegan banana bread. Their curries were ok (slightly too European for me). The staff are incredibly welcoming. The atmosphere and decor is super relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. ** No outside drinks, drinks or buckets allowed (making it a really nice place and get away from the madness) ** FYI - you will hear music ever night until around 2am from the bars and clubs in Haad Rin. I found foam ear plugs or headphones muffled it out. I’m not bothered by music, just don’t go there expecting totally peace and quiet … this is Haad Rin.

Everything was wonderful. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay bliss. my only criticism would be that I thought their Thai curries could have been more ‘Thai’ and punched a bit more flavour. They tasted slightly European to me. Next door is So Good bar & restaurant. They do a cracking Phangan curry and have ace views over the bay.

The menu was excellent, with great Thai and Western options. In a week-long stay we did not have a single bad meal and continued to enjoy different dishes. This in combination with the incredible location at the quieter end of the beach made for a great stay. The layout and design of the restaurant was perfect to relax and listen to the waves whilst you eat or drink throughout the day. The staff while busy at times did their best to make you feel accommodated and were able to asist with any questions regarding transport. We stayed during the week of the New Years full Moon party and being able to return to out garden view room was so much better than staying in a loud and busy hostel nearer the parties.

For us the following were not major issues due to the great location and price but the room was not cleaned for the entirety of the stay. The room only had a cold shower (we were informed of this when we arrived and whilst it is no issue for us I am unsure of what would have been an alternative as they were fully booked.) It was a garden view room. Also note rooms may only have a fan as ours did but we were aware of no AC when we booked.

The best food ever!! Thai, Russian, it has everything. Great quality, clean comfortable bungalow right on the beach. Safe, easy and beautiful. Thank you can't wait to be back!

No air condition.

The place is beautiful! Located at the beach of Haad Rin, is an excellent location not only for the full moon party, but also to work, as it offers a nicely designed restaurant where you can lay or sit to work while admiring the beach. Also the staff was super helpful and good people.

Well, I had an incident. The problem with the hotel is that there are only 2 ways to get into it: By the beach through the sand, including a semi-dirty river that passes by, or by a road that you have to round on the back that takes 5-10 min walk to get into the town. The problem is that I rented a scooter, and when I was returning to the hotel, I used the road (as the beach with a scooter is not accessible), and just in the part where you enter the hotel, the road is very inclined downwards and contained little rocks that made it slippery, so I fell at a low speed and got (luckily) only nasty bruises (7 days recovery with bandages). The staff took me to a nursery where they charged me almost $300 for nurse cleaning, plus almost $300 more for bike scratches, as any scratch should require the parts to be replaced. Although the hotel staff helped me by taking me to the nursery, I believe there could be things that could have been done to make this a better experience like: - Giving me some discount or financial help, as the road is pretty messed up. - Connecting with a medical nursery that is local, taking me to a place that doesn't scam people like that, I am sure that a Thai person doesn't usually have that money to pay for a non-stitches treatment. - Help with bike negotiation - Add a sign or at least beware guests of the bad road and the use of scooters. - Etc. The staff's attention was great, I just expected way more as this incident happened just outside the facilities and it was not a normal accident.

Amazing place, stuff and vibes to escape from the rest of the world. You will want to come back here.

Staff were friendly and accomodating despite being very busy! Food was also fresh and good quality! Location next to the beach was great!

Room was a sweatbox and had to share the garden view hut with mosquitoes, gekkos and huge cockroaches! Shower was also mainly cold and the curtains in the room didn't black out the room enough so sleep was rough!

A paradise in Thailand. we both absolutely loved it. it was so charming and really made our time in koh Phangan
