Fabulous location and views

All superb.

The room was spacious, clean, light and tastefully decorated. It had a great view of the sea and Russell township. Enjoyed the private deck. The apartment was situated beside a bush area and sometimes Weka (birds) would walk across our deck which was fun. Heard kiwi’s calling one night. Well stocked kitchen. Spacious shower. Short/moderate length walk uphill to get to the apartment (5-10 minutes) but my 90 year old father coped with it. On the walk up the road we saw little rabbits, a pheasant, weka, chaffinches and fantails. A lovely place to stay.

Parking area was a little steep but as long as you’re careful it’s manageable.

The hosts were terrific and the apartment was excellent. Very clean and well fitted out. Had everything you needed for your stay. The beds were very comfortable.

Great bed, spacious room

Very clean, modern apartment in a nice, quiet location. Nice setting on the hillside with plenty of local bird life. Good view of harbour from deck. Easy walking distance to Russell shopping strip. Little traffic on road up to the Sails despite it being one of the busiest times of the year. Owners living in house above were very pleasant and helpful. Lady who came in to do cleaning was lovely !

Parking space could be challenging for some, but was quite manageable

Fantastic location overlooking Russell and the wider harbour area. We had a very well-appointed one bed apartment with a lovely outside seating area/deck.

The unit was very clean, the bed very comfortable and the view over the bay superb. Our host was welcoming and helpful. The kitchen was well-equipped, generous storage available for belongings. We had a deck to sit outside on where we could have a quiet wine, or eat or BBQ, and we were joined by a cheeky weka strutting around on it.

Not a problem for us as we had a car, but if you are on foot, it is a very steep climb up from the town centre to the apartment. The bathroom steamed up despite a fan, but our host alerted us to it and how to manage it.

Great location. Easy access to seafront and restaurants.

The sea views from our apartment was disappointing as most of it was obscured by a tall bush (we thought it might be on the neighbours property).

The owners live upstairs, this can be offputting although they are quiet and keep to themselves

it is beautifully appointed, private and spacious where it needs to be. easy access and lovely outlook

the noise of the heat pump took some getting used to.

- Heard some occasional audio from elsewhere in the residence but only briefly and wasn't a significant issue for us.

The host was welcoming and informative
