There's a large and fully equipped kitchen that is shared by guests and the owners. You can prepare your own or for a reasonable price they can prepare food for you. The owners (Henrette and Gilles) are such wonderful people and made our stay there, one that will be hard to beat. Many thanks to them for going above the standard for hosts.
We loved everything about it.

What a warm welcome & farewell from the hosts, very peaceful far away from hustle&bustle but super close to botanical garden&historical site, fresh fruits directly from the garden, baguette in the morning, and pizza with salad that Henriette and Gilles prepared for our last supper at their beautiful place. You have your own terrace, however, you share another big nice terrace and spacious kitchen with the hosts and other guests (one more house). Henriette also organized an excursion for us to Tahaa, with the lunch on a private motu, which is very recommended (with Are Tours). Our daughter loved playing with hosts’ dog and cats.

Amazing place and fabulous hosts! They were so helpful and friendly. They treated us like family and welcomed us with open arms.
Its a bit if a steep drive down to the property but if you take your time and go slow it’s doable with any car.

Wonderful, well planned and executed bungalows. Excellent breakfast and dinner are optional, but well worth it. Possibility to prepare your own meal in a fully equipped kitchen.
Manta and turtle are in the bay (free canoes), black tips and an intact reef nearby, the owner Gilles will take you there with his speedboat.
Felt at home on the other side of the planet.

Friendly hosts. Great facilities. Shared kitchen. Free kayaks. View. Coral garden
The Mantas that normally feed right next to guests house were not there when we visited :-(

Henrietta's homemade jams (banana and coconut are my favourites) with fresh baguettes, tahitian donuts, yogurt, cheese, fresh off their own trees pomelo, passion fruit and bananas, juice, coffee - and an omelette. And that's all in ONE breakfast.
I can't think of a single thing Henrietta and Giles could improve on! They have a lovely, immaculate place with two cozy, air conditioned bungalows and a beautiful open air kitchen right on the bay which they share. They gave us all the information we needed about the area and even took us - and our friends - out on a fantastic snorkelling adventure! We felt as though we were visiting our favourite aunt and uncle at their oceanside retreat!

Henriette and Gilles (and Luna their resident canine angel) are the hosts with the mostest! Truly they welcome you and take care of you as though you were family.
Gilles picked us up from the airport, an almost hour-long drive that leads you to the most breathtaking view as you drive off the main road onto the road leading to their guesthouse. We ended up never taking that road again until our last day, when Gilles drove us back to the airport. We were that enchanted by their place.
Now, the reviews do not lie, it is pretty isolated. The nearest grocery store is a good 6kms away according to Google map, and the nearest restaurant/takeaway is a couple Kms away. However, Henriette asked us everyday if we wanted to order lunch from that delicious restaurant so Gilles could go and pick it up for us so we always had lunch sorted.
Also, and it deserves its own paragraph, there is a cornucopia of mangoes, papayas, bananas and other fruits available free of charge from their very own fruit trees that my wife was happy to have for lunch and dinner and we had a few snacks we brought with us that supplemented our dinner.
Along with the copious breakfast Henriette and Gilles prepared for us every morning with eggs, baguette, homemade jams, ham, cheeses, firi firi, cut fruit, fruit juice and coffee, we were more than sorted with food every day. We did get an exceptional Christmas Eve dinner with foie gras and 2 different types of delicious appetizers, a freshest of the freshest sashimi as the main course, wine and dessert on our penultimate evening but it was Christmas Eve after all.
The guesthouse has kayaks, a pedal boat, a paddle board available, which we readily borrowed on occasion.
The communal eating and lounge area overlooks the small beach and is beautifully open to the ocean breeze. We were often on the communal terrace, me on my laptop and my wife lying on the lounger. Stress disappeared while we were there.
Not a bad thing per se, but please be mindful when using the air-conditioning. We only turned it on for about 15 minutes after entering our bungalow, just to cool the temperatures down a bit and also take the humidity out of the air before going for a nap or going to sleep for the night. Absolutely use the mosquito net over the bed and turn on the ceiling fan afterwards for a good sleep. Some of the windows have mosquito netting on too so opening those at night definitely allows the air and breeze to come in and keep it nice and cool.

This was our favorite stay in French Polynesia. Gilles and Arietta are absolutely wonderful hosts and made us feel so welcome at their beautiful home! They are the best part of an absolutely fantastic B&B. There is literally nothing we would change except to have stayed longer at Raiatea Sur Mer and for me to have been able to speak more French.
We loved everything! It was so beautiful with flowers and fruit trees everywhere. The bungalow was perfect!

Henriette et Gilles are wonderful hosts, and our beachfront bungalow was new, sparkling clean, spacious well appointed and comfortable, making for a memorable stay in Raiatea. As other reviewers mentioned, this is a paradise within a paradise, really a hidden gem. It's been a month already since our stay, we are back home now, but we think often about Henriette and Gilles and we are missing them. They made as feel like family, and made everything possible for an exceptional stay. Gilles is a great life story teller, and Henriette is an outstanding cook. We hope to return to their place in a not too distant future.

The hosts are the best, friendliest people! Made us feel like family! Not to mention, their dog Luna is also the best! The room and bathroom are huge, even a walk-in closet. The bathroom is open at the top but no problem, just a few geckos. The room is enclosed with A/C. Lovely property, beautifully landscaped. There is a kitchen that you share with the host, fully stocked, all you have to do is bring your groceries. They did provide us fresh fruit and cooked us lunch on our last day- it was delicious! The patio off the kitchen is a wonderful place to sit and relax with a drink. they have a nice little beach, dock and canoes you can use. We took the canoe out to a motu nearby and had a private island all to ourselves! I do recommend renting a vehicle for the island and to get to and from this place. Highly recommend staying here!

The property is wonderful, set down on a small bay on the east side. Only 2 bungalows, so never too many other guests to worry about. A spacious beach bungalow which I had all to myself with a very large bathroom and closet as well, this place was great. Gilles and Henriette were wonderful, arranging airport pickup, a day tour to Ta’haa, and meals since I didn’t have a car to go grocery shopping. Gilles is a tour guide as well and took a group of us on some hikes in the area, pointing out the various plants and fruits, which were edible, which used for clothes.
The property is a secluded (which I was looking for) and if I was staying more than 3 days, I definitely would want a car. The beach is is well kept like the rest of the property and has kayaks for use (which I sadly didn’t get a chance to do).
Definitely recommend this property!
