We enjoyed the large open area and nice sized bedrooms and three full bathrooms for six adults to stay together. The main reason I rented this was so each couple could have their own room and bathroom and this place provided that. Overall the place worked for us. One of the bedroom window air conditioners wasn’t working when we arrived and they replaced it the next morning, which was great. A few things that weren’t great. The air conditioning is only in the windows of each bedroom and they require you to turn it off when you are out. It took hours to cool down upon returning and got super warm. You had to leave the bedroom doors open when sleeping so the open area could have some air too. My family prefers to close their bedroom door when sleeping. The fridge wasn’t working very well and didn’t stay cool enough so some food spoiled. The freezer worked. There were a number of very small nat-sized bugs on the counters in the kitchen and master bathroom which made it a bit uncomfortable. I’m sure the host will be able to address these things for future guests like they did for us with the air conditioning when we arrived so I would suggest checking first it was a nice place and very roomy.

This was a great home for our extended family including several adults and an infant. The property includes use of beach chairs umbrellas, toys, etc. The beach is a 10 minute walk away. Restaurants and shopping are a short drive away.

Enjoyed the visit very much. The host was very helpful and gave great recommendations. Home was as described. Given the opportunity I would book through this host again!

This was a perfect location for our week-long stay in so many ways. The house was well stocked and there was enough room for our group of 6 adults and 2 children to be comfortable. Situated in a central location on Maui so our trips around the island were never too long. Close enough to the beach that we could walk there in less than 10 mins. The hosts were very thoughtful and responsive. Overall, we highly recommend!

I’ve never taken a vacation in my adult life and I’m grateful for the opportunity to stay in this home, we had everything we needed. Mark was great in communicating and made the prices simple and easy. The home is very large, and has plenty of room for 7-8 guests to stay. The home stayed relatively cool, and the showers/plumbing worked perfectly. Hawaii does have critters, so take Mark’s advice and keep the screen doors closed. I would stay at this home again in a heartbeat.

This property was perfect for our week-long stay in Maui. The house was comfortable and clean. Perfect for three couples. Some of us golfed. Some of us wanted ocean time. We were close to both. Birdsong woke us up each morning. I'd return in a heartbeat.

We unfortunately had to cancel the week before we stayed because my husband got very sick. Joe was very kind and understanding and he made the experience very easy for us. We wish we could have stayed!

I highly recommend this place as a Maui vacation rental! My family and I had a wonderful time with everything we needed to be comfortable in a safe and beautiful neighborhood nice and close to the beach.

The host was easy to contact and responsive to our needs. He was kind enough to meet us at midnight as our flight arrived late. The house was spacious and perfect for 3 couples as we all had our own bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen is large and fairly well stocked. We had a garage to park our car in. All the beach toys, chairs, cooler etc were available for our use. The location was great. It was just a couple of blocks from the beach. Our host was very accommodating with the check out time. We would all highly recommend this house and it’s location.

Our family of 6 adults and one toddler stayed for 8 nights. With 3 bedrooms, 3 bathsand a futon couch that folds down into a bed. Beds were very comfortable. We had a wonderful stay with everything you need for preparing food, and going to the beach with beach towels, boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas, and sand toys. The owners responded quickly to anything we needed. If you are looking for a house where you can spread out and yet be all together, this is the place! We walked 3 blocks to the perfect beach, Keawakapu, everyday or drove and parked our vehicles with our beach gear in the nearby parking lot. This was the ideal location to do everything on Maui.

Joe and Mark are wonderful hosts, and the property is at a nice location for getting around the island. The 3 baths and 3 bedrooms and big living room made for a relaxing stay.

House is located in a nice safe neighborhood about 1/2 mile up the hill from the ocean. Overall it's a convenient location as long as you have a car. Parking in the garage is a plus. Beach gear and a decent size cooler were also a plus. The AC units in the bedrooms worked but were loud and there was no AC for the living area, the ceilling fans helped but it was warm. Items that need repair include the screen door from the garage, one of the burners on the stove, the dryer lint filter which falls apart when you try to clean it, the large sliding glass doors to the back of the house do not latch or Lock, the owner provides a padlock to lock the doors. The ceiling fan in the master bedroom was about to fall apart so we stopped using it after the first night. There's a mix-mash of pots and pans, dishes, and utensils in the kitchen yet enough to get by. The hosts are kind and reponsive and we hope they will address these items that should be attended to for the price of the rental. Their home is behind this rental on the same property so they are close by. Overall, we enjoyed our visit!

Good price and location was perfect. There were a couple small things that didn’t work like most of the stove burners and the dryer doesn’t work great! As most reviews state as well there is no central AC unit but the room units keep it cool enough at night! Overall communication with the owner was awesome and the beach supplies available are great! Great place for a group on a budget!

Very comfortable place with a hospitable host. The house is centrally located in Kihei for the beach, shopping, groceries, and restaurants. Will considering staying here again should our adventures take us back to Maui.

The house met our needs for 4 adults and 1 teenager, with 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths. We were very busy and needed the space flexibility, along with the privacy and safety from possible Covid at the resorts and hotels. The house was clean and well stocked with linens and kitchen supplies. We experienced a couple of minor issues, i.e., the arcadia door lock was broken and the screen door to the garage needs some work. The window air conditioning in the bedrooms is not enough to cool the living room, kitchen/dining area so beware in the warmer months. All in all, we enjoyed our 10-day stay.

Check in process was great. The house has some minor issues that should be addressed for the next guests; screen door in garage should be replaced, patio doors and screen doors do not work properly, and a number of windows do not lock, front right burner on stove does not heat up completely, no door to bathroom in master bedroom. We did have a nice time and the beds were comfortable.

Joe, his wife and their little dog are the best! Jo was quick to respond to any request. When a computer was left behind and we had already turned in our car at the airport, he and his wife drove the computer at 7 AM in the morning so we would have it. That is going way beyond expectations! The Home was lovely, spacious, and in a beautiful neighborhood. The beds were so comfortable and it was so quiet, that we got the best nights sleep ever. There were some safety concerns about the door sticking and my five year old could not open the bedroom doors . Also, the sliding glass door was very difficult to open and close so we left it open but the screen could move open even if locked. We felt that the neighborhood was safe but some felt uneasy not being able to secure things at night.. I would definitely recommend this home for a family vacation. The beach gear is fantastic.

This home was our base for all things during our 10-day stay on Maui. It was a comfortable abode for all 7 of us and a launching pad for beach trips, hiking, driving the road to Hana and reaching the top of Haleakala. The owner was very easy to work with and provided beach gear for us and a 2 car garage for our vehicles. The property was located near major thoroughfares, yet surrounded by a quiet neighborhood. The open common areas in the home allowed us to visit and eat meals together and gather together after active days. We prepared most of our meals in the well-equipped kitchen. AC's in each bedroom allowed comfortable sleeping times.

The house worked very well for our group of six adults during our week-long stay in early Feb 2022. The common space has a nice open floor plan and the beds were comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and the location was conveniently located to some beautiful beaches. All sites and shops in Kehei/Wailea were a short drive away. The hosts were friendly and responsive.

I’ve thought a lot about whether I should write this but honestly I would want to know before I booked this place if there was a persistent pest problem. We checked in on December 10th and on the 11th we had our first rat encounter (it ate our food). We texted the owner, Joe, and asked him to call an exterminator. He didn’t respond to us until we ran into him in the driveway…he then brought over some mouse traps. We laid the mouse trap out that night and to make a long story short, we found a dead rat in the oven. We thought that was the only rat until a few nights later when we heard the rats crawling on the roof and our food was getting eaten. We asked Joe again to call a professional exterminator because there was also an ant infestation. Again he ignored us and dropped off more mouse traps. We caught 4 rats in our house while we were there. The last straw was when we caught a rat and it splattered blood all over the kitchen floor. Every morning we would wake up early before our kids did to make sure we removed any dead animals before they woke up and saw them. We booked the house for 4 weeks and only stayed 3 because it just got too gross. VRBO did nothing even though we sent them photos of the dead rats that we caught. We booked it during the Christmas holiday and it cost us thousands of dollars to find a new place that could accommodate our family. And neither Joe nor VRBO did anything…until it was too late. For 3 week we asked him to hire a professional exterminator and it wasn’t until I threatened him with reporting him to VRBO’s safety and health department did he actually do anything. But by that point I was too grossed out to stay there. The owner even had the audacity to blame our kids (3 and 4) for leaving the doors open at night. They don’t. They’re little. We put them to bed at 8pm and they stay there, like all 3 and 4 year olds. So we basically spent our Christmas holiday living in a rat infested hellhole AND getting gaslighted repeatedly by an owner who was too cheap to hire professional pest control. I cannot believe I wasn’t offered a refund kr partial refund. Maybe he’s gotten a professional to exterminate by now…regardless I cannot believe this house isn’t condemned.

Joe called us when we arrived at the airport and Mark (his son) welcomed us when we arrived at the house. House and yard are very nice. Would definitely stay there again!!!

The place was perfect for us with plenty of common space and lots of accommodation for sleep. The backyard and front yard were great for stargazing, and the location was a short walk/drive from everything in Kihei/Wailea. Joe was quick to respond and very helpful.

This was our first time in Maui and the most enjoyable staying in a house vs. a hotel room. The neighborhood is very quiet and the location is perfectly centrally located to everything. Mark and his family are so accommodating!!! Wonderful time hated to see it end.

A good place to stay easy access to the highway, but not a beachfront. The AC in the bedrooms is adequate, but if we had central air in the rest of the house would have been much nicer. Much more spacious than a condo.
