This was a nice unit overall. The bad: We did not like the entry as it required getting keys from a lockbox upon entry and returning the keys when leaving. The lockbox has a metal keypad that comes off entirely when you enter the code and, if not prepared, you can easily drop on your feet. There were no cleaning supplies in the condo so you have to bring your own for daily upkeep. Generally, I only bring hand soaps for the bathrooms, dish soap and Clorox wipes to add to the existing products but there was nothing there and the condo has glass tables which do not clean well with Clorox wipes. The freezer only has one shelf and a drawer as the rest of the shelves seemed to have been removed. The bottom drawer of the refrigerator freezes the contents which I think should be a simple fix but wasn’t fun to discover. The good: location was incredible, conveniently located maybe 5 minutes from Publix. The resort itself was pretty well kept up and maintained. The unit had little soaps and shampoos in each bathroom which we very much appreciated. The unit was well stocked with towels, cups, silverware, plates, bowls, and general cookware. There was also a fresh sponge supplied which was a nice touch. Tv was super easy to use, wifi was very reliable, and the ax did a great job of keeping the unit cool. Overall a great unit!

Loved the condo, everything was very clean. The kids really enjoyed the indoor pool, especially on the day where there was scattered rain. Host was very prompt with communication. The only thing that could have been slightly better was cooking utensils/pots/pans. We made do with what was provided and it did not impact our trip - still 5 stars

Beach Colony is our favorite place to stay. We had a few questions while we were there and we got quick answers. We would stay there again.

Was a very nice stay. Would stay here again. Owners very responsive and easy to work with. We did not use the pools/hot tub areas but they were nice. We did use the grills and there was a nice grassy area to relax in while waiting. Lots of codes but we just plugged them into our phone and that made it really easy for us old folks to remember. Grocery store close by as well as a few restaurants. We enjoy the less busy areas and this worked great for our family.

We had a wonderful time even though There was no TV in the third bedroom, only a Keurig coffee pot ( had to buy a drip coffee pot, none available through VRBO), and discovered the TV in master bedroom wouldn't catch fire even though it had a message that said the USB device was drawing too much power (nothing other than the cable device was connected to it). We have stayed in much nicer units in this resort.

The owners were great to work with! We will keep this one on our list for future visits!

4 nights stay. The unit was clean and the views were beautiful! The host was very communicative throughout our booking and check-in process. Conveniently located near a grocery store. the listing was accurate with what we experienced during our stay. Would definitely re-book!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We especially enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the sun rise and set.

The Condo was roomy and had a bathroom in each bedroom which was nice.

Wanted to share some things that I didn’t find in any of the descriptions when I was looking at this condo for vacation. The venue: you will encounter several different codes everywhere you go; the entry gate to parking lot, pools, gate to beach, and room. Venue tries hard to give feel of elite, but is obviously missing the mark with missing ceramic tiles in walkways and busted equipment in public areas. It was easy to tell the condo renters from condo owners. Renters were pleasant and exchanged pleasantries. Owners were the ones walking their dogs in parking lots that would not speak to you after saying “hello” or saying “pretty puppy,” and it was several, not just one. The condo is nice and has nice amenities. That being said, you have to use a code to access a key to open the door that is incredibly hard to open every time. So it’s like a dripping faucet; no bother the first time but drives you batty before you leave. Also, the owner is a ring doorbell stalker and I left with the feeling of having a vacation in a fishbowl. The cleaning lady knocked on the door an hour early, so having had enough we left early (even leaving our prepared meal on counter without eating). It was obvious the cameras were being watched when we left the condo and waiting for elevator and cleaning lady magically appears in perfect timing to pass us to go in to clean condo. I love coming to the beach. I look forward to it all year. I usually pick close to FL/AL line because the people are so friendly. This condo will not be my choice in the future. ✌🏻

I think the condo needs updating. The towels were skimpy and left alot to be desired ! They were a weird color ... black? There were lights burned out in the laundry room and the master bedroom closet.

we cannot wait to stay here again next year! The view was lovely, the property was fantastic! Just what our family was looking for! Thank you!

The condo was spacious and has beautiful view of the ocean and the bay!

This condo is listed as "Newly Renovated." That stops at the kitchen cabinets! The appliances are very dated. The carpets are super old and stained. The bathrooms are dated. We had several maintenance issues...heat kicks on with a bang every time so don't plan on getting any sleep. The bathroom vent didn't work, a bathroom bulb buzzed so loud that our kids didn't even use that bathroom, a toilet ran. And when I reached out to the host, I was told that the condo was trashed by the renters before us. Probably the most disappointing of all was that both outdoor pools were closed! Again, when I reached out to the host I was told the pools are seasonal. No apologies, just matter of fact. Nowhere does this listing mention seasonal pools. And because this building is set back between 2 others, you get NO sunlight on the balcony and have no views down the beach. We had such a bad experience, that we left after night one and will never rent here again. Oh...and we were charged an additional security deposit, that also was not outlined in the fees summary. I've been awaiting a refund on that for 2 weeks now. Horrible customer service. Even worse unit!

We stayed for the mullet toss. We did have one mishap. Fire alarm was set off at 1130 at night. But no fault of the owner. Enjoyed our stay!!! Thank you!!

The rental itself is fine. But there were many things that a beach rental condo should have that this didn’t. Absolutely no beach towels, chairs, cooler- anything. Also basic things were not supplied- no extra TP, garbage bags, or basics like coffee, spices, etc. The bath towels were terrible- very small, shed all over the place, and poor quality. We had to buy beach towels and use them for the beach and showering. The pool was not open and when I contacted the host about it I was told that it never is during the off season. It was spring break/ how is that the off season? And how would I know that if it wasn’t mentioned in the listing.

It was a awesome place. It was beautiful and comfortable with an amazing view. Would most definitely return. Thank you so much for the opportunity to rent your condo.

The property is not maintained very well.

We enjoyed our stay so much. We had a girls trip and stayed for a long weekend. The place was super nice, clean, and plenty of room for the 5 of us. The balcony was very spacious and the beach and pool were awesome and not very crowded. We will definately look to book this place again!! Very nice!!

This is a perfect location on the 8th floor with wonderful view of beach and pool. The owners are especially nice and responsive. This is the second year in a row that we’ve stayed here. Nice condo close to everything

Nice condo, clean and well maintained.

Condo was great! Clean and had everything we needed to start our vacation. Rebekah was quick to reply with questions. Perfect for our family of 8!

The Beach Colony is a beautiful property! Our condo was clean, beautiful and comfortable in every way. The only thing that was a bit difficult was managing the key box. It works, but having to leave the keys in the box all the time was not optimal. The kitchen was well-stocked and we enjoyed cooking breakfast every morning. Having 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathroom was great for our family. Every room had a ceiling fan which was also a plus! Access to the beach was very nice, and our grandsons loved the indoor pool1. I would not hesitate to rent this condo again!

We had an excellent vacation at this condo. It contains upper-scale furnishings and an upgraded kitchen. The kitchen was full of pots, pans, dishes, and everything we needed. The beach and facilities were gorgeous. Highly recommend this property. We will be back!

Beach Colony is the perfect location. We are from the Memphis area and typically stay in Desting & Panama City Beach. This year we tried Perdido Key and stayed in a 9th floor unit at Beach Colony. Perdido Key reminded me of PCB 30-years ago. Not too small, not too big or overdeveloped and two hours closer drive time!! Our unit was very nice, very clean, beds were comfortable, nice view of ocean & huge balcony. Beach service (chairs etc.) was excellent. The kitchen could use more cooking & eating utensils etc. but not a big deal really. Beach Colony is walking distance to the National Sea Shores Park if you like to get away from the crowd. Lots to do if you do your research online. Eat at the Sunset...skip the Oyster Bar. We will definitely be back very soon!
