Hosts couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Warm, comfortable, peaceful stay with an excellent breakfast. We valued having off road, private, parking; though getting into the garage was almost beyond our skill set! Fantastically placed for restaurants and places of interest. Definitely high up on our recommended places to stay.

Beautiful apartment. Spacious and spotless. Lovely breakfast. Nice outdoor terrace. Central location within walking distance of restaurants etc. Hosts were very helpful particularly with the parking of our car in their garage space.

Beautiful, typical French style property set in an excellent location. We found it really easily and that it had parking was a bonus. The facilities were fantastic. Large lounge and dining area, amazing garden and very comfortable sleeping. Our hosts had thought of everything and supplied us with a great breakfast for our early start. Set in the old town with a short walk to all that this beautiful town has to offer. Highly recommend. We stopped on our drive to Spain and would definitely stay again.

Nothing we didn’t like.

Breakfast was served at the time you requested and was lovely, a nice choice and good quality. The room was very large with an outdoor terrace overlooking the rooftops.

Very uneven steep stairs down to the suite, a little difficult carrying case’s but the owner helped.

A short flight of stairs took us into a spacious living room which led onto a well-kept large terrace. v friendly hosts. J F gave us a lot of interesting information about the place.

Nothing really!

Breakfast was amazing. The whole area was really clean and it was very cosy. What exceeded our expectations was the treatment from the host, incredibly friendly and helpful with some complications that we had with our car and letting us leave our luggages in the room even after checkout time.

Something that was not a problem for us, but a bit weird is that the floor that we rented and the upper floor where the host lives were not separated with a door and we could hear them from time to time. Again, not a problem but worth mentioning

We arrived very late after 23.00 as we were driving to the accommodation. And Jean-François was waiting for us at this late hour and showed us everything. We had a sleep over and had an amazing breakfast in the morning. The apartmebt has a big terrace, should be great in summer. It's a pity that we stayed only for one night.

The spiral stair access is tricky, but it’s absolutely fine for able people. My knees are not too good

Large comfortable lounge area with seating and tv, with a separate but adjoining bedroom. There was also a comfortable terrace with views over Angouleme where we sat for drinks before walking into the nearby old town. We also had breakfast on the terrace the following morning where a marvellous spread was presented to us. We were also able to park in the private garage opposite the property. The hosts could not have been nicer and we got the impression that if we did have a problem they would have done all they could to resolve it.

It was a little tricky to find as our sat nav did not like the address and a lot of the streets are narrow and one way, so can be a bit difficult when you don’t really know where you are going. But we managed it and I’m really pleased we did. We will stay here again when we return to Angouleme.

This is wonderful apartment! Spacious, great bed, fantastic veranda and not the least Jean-Marcel is the perfect host! And the breakfast! The breakfast! Ringing the little bell, down comes Jean-Marcel with a selection of charcuteries, cheeses, fruits, juices, breads...
