Overall it was a good stay with a few concerns. The first one is a cleanness of the bath towels and some kitchen utensils, we had to clean those before using.
Missing BBQ tongs.
Windows are not sound proof, this apartment is the closest to the road so it was quite noisy in the mornings and late evenings.
The second bedroom had squeaky mattresses.
On the positive side the apartment overall is in good shape, everything is working, partial ocean view is an awesome addition to the morning coffee. There were some beach chairs in decent condition as well as a portable fridge that was helpful. We really appreciate that the appointment was ready for checking in earlier than expected.
The overall service at menehune shores is very good, the staff cleaned the pool, grilling areas and parking lot quite often.

This resort was AMAZING. Perfect location in Kihei close to everything you could need. Not to mention the amazing ancient fishing pond right outside on the beach. We saw multiple turtles eating greens off the cement wall and just swimming underfoot! I was worried about being hot in July but the AC was good and the ocean breeze through the unit was good too. I will comment that the traffic noise coming through the front of the unit is loud but did not detract from our enjoyment of the stay. Resort Amenities! Super warm pool, beachside BBQs and a rooftop oasis complete with more BBQs and stunning views. The BBQ propane ran out on the roof one night of our stay but that is not the unit’s fault. When we stayed, the unit had 2 small coolers, 4 lawn chairs and snorkel gear for 5. Unfortunately the ocean swallowed 3 of the masks we borrowed so I bought new sets and left them behind. Fun fact, I saw a TikTok that said tourists should visit the thrift stores for snorkel and beach gear… I wish I thought of that! The unit has in suite washer and dryer and a full kitchen. Decor was simple, inviting, and relaxing. Plenty of room for our party of 6 with my husband and I in the Oceanside queen room, my friend and her two boys in the street side double twin/king room, and my son in the livingroom on the sofa bed. Do not pack your own towels, there were plenty of beach towels to use. The bathrooms were also stocked with towels for 6 so we had everything we needed.

This was a great family stay. 2 bedrooms, laundry, kitchen, all working great. The only 2 minor items would be if you notice road noise (we do not, so not an issue) and if you are a tech person whom will want to log in to your apps, the TV would not accept an update, but I just used my Roku with no problems. Some minor issues (ice maker didn't work, we used ice trays. The door to the balcony from the primary bedroom did not work, we didn't need it). A/C in all rooms worked great!!!!! We will return

We always have the most magical times at Menehune Shores! Grounds are kept immaculate. The staff is friendly and helpful. And the accommodation and views can’t be beat. We’ll be back for a 4th time without a doubt! Aloha

Place was great! Great location. Nice and clean. Bright and spacious. Loved having a code instead of keys. Parking was always available. Building itself was great. Pool and amenities were well kept. Beach was amazing. The only negative thing was the ice machine in the fridge didn’t work. We had to go buy a bag of ice but otherwise everything was wonderful. Would come back and recommend!

Great location for shopping, food trucks and beaches. Very comfortable for our family of 5! We loved the rooftop for bbq'ing and watching the beautiful sunsets! Great having the swimming pool and short walkway to the beach. Would definitely stay again. Mahalo!

We had an excellent stay at this condo. It has just about everything we needed. The AC worked great . We did have to contact the people about one of the tv’s and got a very fast response to get it working again. Would love to come back someday!

This is a spacious condo, a plus it is on the end of the building so it has extra windows in the bedrooms and bathrooms giving more light. It is near the road though so a bit noisy during rush hours. We had a comfortable stay.

We had a wonderful time. Communication with management was excellent and helpful. They allowed us to early check in, and we appreciated it. The condo had everything that what needed for a great stay. The condo has ocean view. We had no problem with street noise, plus all resort located near Kihei street. Thank you, we will be back soon!!!

Rooms nice. Both with their own closely detached bathrooms. The One with Queen bed has nice views of ocean. The other bedroom with the two twins has no views and next to main Kihei Rd with some street noise but with fans on it drowns it out. Showers great. Good water pressure. Good height even for my 6’3” husband. Nice and lots of towels. Nice beach towels too.
Extra perk is rooftop views! For watching sunrise or sunset.
Ocean for swimming is walled off with rock wall so very safe and shallow. Even had a group of turtles nesting there!
The grass is like a golf course! We did our exercises outside on the lawn out back by the ocean under the swaying coconut trees! So nice.
Location is in north kihei so not too busy, but very central to everything and other parts of Maui.
Overall a great stay for us as we came mainly to volunteer and to help support the Maui community! Keep Maui Strong!

Trip planned at the last minute. Tourism very quiet but residents thankful for our visit. Stayed in Kehei so not affected by the fire. Weather, tours, water, food all outstanding. Accommodations very convenient for shopping and restaurants. Sad the week is over 😳

We loved the location of Menehune Shores! It's right on the beach and conveniently located to so many places we needed to go (the Aquarium, Walmart, the airport, etc.) We loved watching the sunsets from the rooftop, seeing turtles in the sanctuary every morning, and grilling by the pool. The unit we stayed in was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed having a kitchen where we could cook many of our meals. We'd definitely stay here again.

We loved the apartment itself. Everything was clean and stylish. Had everything we could want. The a/c was more than adequate and the balcony with a view was great. The garbage disposal was messed up by the prior people but they came right out very quickly to fix it.
My only disappointment was the beach and area. The sea in the little lagoon was murky and choppy the whole time. It didn't look like the pictures at all .... but that could be the time of year we came? Late July. It was also very windy, we were never able to enjoy the beach at the condo. We just drove to other areas so it was fine.
One thing i enjoyed about kihei is the proximity to restaurants and the central location makes it easy to explore the island. Also 4th friday kihei is great!

This was a great vacation condo with everything we needed for our stay! The location with the protected swimming area where you could see sea turtles, right outside the building, was really amazing. And the restaurant on the ground floor was absolutely delicious. The unit came stocked with beach towels, chairs and snorkel gear which was very helpful. A/C worked great too. There was a bit of road noise, as it is a corner unit, but this was not a problem for us. Would definitely recommend!

This rental has a great location right on the water with view. Aside from my first day finding out there are ghost ants that come in the summer we had a great experience. (We bought ant spray and cleaned /killed them all and kept everything in ziplock bags after that. They didn’t return and property management notified after our stay to fix problem. This is our first time traveling with a baby under the age of one and there was enough space for us to bring along all of the necessities including the portable crib (which we discovered the rental has in the closet, we were told there wasn’t one at time of rental so we paid to bring one. We never actually checked in because we were always calling before or after the manager was on site but that was not a problem we just had to leave our information on our dashboard. The location is central to so many places. In the mornings you can hear the cars on the main street passing but it was not a bother at all. The grounds are very clean and there is staff present at all times. Parking was probably the only difficulty Not because there wasn’t enough The spaces are just very narrow and 1 inch too far to the left from anyone what a mess up the whole row but we managed. The AC in each room worked great! We would stay here again.

Menehune Shores
I traveled with my college student daughter, and my 86 year old parents for 5 days in Maui. The condo was perfect for our trip. It was very clean, very comfortable, and well equipped. As it is an end unit, it allowed for increased ventilation in the 2 bathrooms which is nice after showers with the humidity. The main areas are tile, and bedrooms carpeted. Each bedroom and the main area have air conditioner units -which we mostly did not use. We never turned on the main room ac as the ceiling fans and cross breeze were wonderful. We did use ac in one bedroom (works great) - both for comfort and to use as white noise due to street traffic below. Everything was in excellent shape. We had a question arise a few hours before our arrival and received prompt responses and assistance. My father requires a walker, and although a bit of a trek for him from the parking lot (elevator works great) to the end unit, it was smooth and accessible. The porch was lovely. Great location - pool and bay easily accessible just below condo. Many public beaches all around. Wonderful fruit stand just up the road, swap meet equal distance the other way. Can’t say enough good things.

The pictures were exactly the same as the property. It was a perfect space for my family. Hotels feel like you have no personal space, but here it felt like home. The balcony had a great view of the ocean and I loved sitting out there. I know some people complained about the traffic noise up front but my kids said it really wasn't an issue. Would stay here again!!

We went as a family of 5 adults & 1 toddler and enjoyed ourselves very much. The building is great with rooftop BBQ area and nightly sunset conch shell blowing by locals. The restaurant there was a awesome!! Highly recommend Monsoon Cafe and our server was the best. We love the lagoon in front of condo and all the turtle activity. It’s located close to the town and we love that. We will definitely return!!

This condo is located right on the beach. Has wonderful and super easy access to a beautiful beach that has a retention wall that helps me feel safer letting my kids play in the ocean. The water is not super deep all the way to the barrier so I felt really safe. The ocean access is so fantastic, we never even touched the pool. There's also an area at the barrier where green sea turtles come and relax. You can sit in the water and watch them from about 20 feet. It is however on the world's loudest street. There's traffic ALL night long and it's not just cars. It's ambulances, loud motorcycles, people blasting their music, all night long. Another drawback is, there's no air conditioning. So if it's hot or humid, you have to sleep with the windows open, making the loud street very problematic. It's difficult to sleep. Even with ear plugs. Also, our oven didn't work at all while we were there. The maintenance man was going to fix it, but wasn't able to. This was difficult because we planned our trip around cooking at home to save money. We made due with the microwave and the community grills though. Overall, great stay. Super close to where we wanted to be, beautiful view. Just very very loud.

If four adults spending eight days in Hawaii sharing a condo doesn't sound like a vacation, know that roomy Menehune Shores #401 made the experience wonderful four us! The location was perfect for accessing the entire island (if your auto rental allows) - the Road to Hana, Haleakala, Lahaina, Wailea-Makena. The two bedroom-two bathroom condo was very clean, the kitchen fully stocked with appliances, dishes, and utensils to include a toaster oven. Body boards and four beach chairs along with ample beach towels were used often. Washer/dryer unit saw daily use. The evening and overnight breezes made the absence of A/C mostly acceptable (our stay saw unusually high temperatures in October). Keeping windows and the lanai door open allows one to hear both the soothing sound of waves breaking on the beach as well as the occasional (but tolerable) louder traffic noises from the nearby S. Kihei road. All in all, were we to return to Maui, we would stay here without hesitation.

Menehune Shores is a slice of Paradise! The location is perfect for swimming. The sandy beach entertained the kids for hours. The pool is just the right temperature. The condo provided everything we needed to enjoy our stay: chairs, boogie boards, toys. And watching the sea turtles every day is magical!! We have no complaints, and would definitely return!
