I loved everything! I loved the location, the breakfast in the morning, and how clean the room was. It all felt very cozy!
The last night there, there were incredibly loud people above us. We heard constant banging for hours late at night- it even woke us up several times.

Great location, friendly staff, and appreciated the equipment we could borrow.

Forgot towels when then cleaned the room. Coffee area only had large cups on the first day and was dirty. Great location but not a good value when you consider the daily rate.
4.0
cozy and quiet, nice staff, helpful, comfortable bed, just a walk away to restaurants and stores
the parking lot is really tight, tough if driving a bigger vehicle

The location was great, central and quick access to downtown. Breakfast was very good. Greek yogurt a plus as well as excellent blueberry muffins. Coffee was fresh and always available. Even had a sauna and golf practice facilities.

location
incredibly loud obnoxious guests arrived around 9:30pm and were roaming halls and yelling and partying until 2am and nothing was done to quiet them.

The location was good. Could walk to downtown. The staff was very friendly. The continental breakfast was good if that was what you were looking for.
The heavy footed person above us. They seem to keep the lobby very warm 🥵

good location, interesting building, open all around the year.
poor breakfast, not clean enough

I liked the location in the heart of town. Everyone was friendly and the room was comfortable and clean. I would highly recommend this hotel.

location is 👍
too expensive and the room is too small, especially the bathroom. Breakfast is so so.

Location was excellent to walk to everything.. The breakfast was only a continental style so we went out to breakfast the mornings we were there.. The parking can be a little tight tight. The room was extremely clean.
The room that I booked on booking. com. Was not the same room that I ended up with. They did do a price adjustment though when we got there.

Hade a great week here. Just a block from all the downtown Bar Harbor restaurants and bars, 3 blocks from the waterfront. Easy access to Acadia without having to drive directly through downtown. The cooked-to-order breakfast omelets were an unexpected bonus! The room was a bit small but we didn't spend much time in it, so much to do in town and in the national park. Parking is a little tight but we always found a space close to our room.

Hotel location is awesome, convenient to anything you want to do in the village, all walking distance. Very friendly and informative staff, they care and keep the place clean and tidy. Continental breakfast is just right, love the omelettes! Cafe this way (awesome breakfast place!) is right out back too. The owner Peter is usually on sight and very helpful with reccos on anything! Should you need to borrow a cooler, hiking equipment, bikes….they have on property for usage, nice!
A little more tired than last visit. The mattress was a bit sunken, and the sheets twisted every time we turned over in the bed. The bathroom doesn’t really have any shelving or door/wall hooks to unpack toiletries or hang a wet towel other than the door.

excellent location. walk to everything downtown. very nice porch and room.
no bar soap - just liquid.

location was great. although it’s a small town and you could me a mile out and location would still be great
breakfast not to my standards for a “boutique” hotel. it was more like a breakfast served at a motel on the interstate, very disappointing. rooms were also not well insulated so you could here the guests up above had to sleep wearing ear plugs.
2.0
The staff was very nice and tried to help.
The building is nice and our room was tastefully decorated.
o Our dissatisfaction has got to do with the way the operation is organized and run, with a clear lack of customer satisfaction focus. And the staff is just working according to those rules, even if they are willing and nice, because they can not deliver what the customers want.
o The room has no table where one can use a computer.
I asked for a small table or chair, the dilligent staff had to contact the owners and the answer was that there was none available, which is really difficult to believe. I had to use the bed to work, in a terribly uncomfortable position, during the 2 nights stay.
o To contact reception one has to use a cell-phone, and an European phone costs a fortune when in roaming mode.
At least, they could provide a WhatsApp number. Not thinking that there are foreign customers who don't have US cell-phone lines is really amazing.
o Can you imagine a "so-called" charm hotel having the customers buying water from a vending machine?
o The breakfast is RIDICULOUSLY poor and with bad quality cold muffins and other products, coming out of the fridge.
Yes, there are eggs cooked on the spot, but then there is no fresh daily bread, so easy to buy from any nearby bakery.
What a shame for an hotel which describes itself as "the first boutique hotel in Bar Harbor".
Moreover, can you imagine having breakfast in a sort of corridor with tiny tables and the UNBEARABLE loud noise of a vending machine? Awful!
o And it would be so EASY to do things better with the appropriate mindset and minimal investment...It is frustrating.

Convenient location. Comfortable room.
Miserable, hard pillows. Couldn't turn off the porch lights.
