Surnommée la «maison de poupée sur la pointe», cette maison méticuleusement entretenue et entièrement mise à jour est un cadre familial idéal à Lindstrom, à seulement 35 minutes au nord de la zone de métro Twin Cities. 150 pieds de rive sablonneuse orientée au sud pour que les enfants puissent jouer sur le lac South Centre (300 pieds de rive au total, 1625 acres combinés avec le lac North Center).
La maison du lac peut accueillir de 10 à 16 personnes avec 5 chambres privées dont une chambre avec lits superposés pour 6 enfants. The good: Overall a good spot for a few families to share - great small beach along lake & grassy knoll for lounging.
The not so great: Felt overpriced for the offering. Fairly sparse inside and out - surprised there were no games whatsoever. Wish we had known that we needed to bring a ball to play with or a deck of cards. Also kind of absurd to rent out a lake house and not provide beach towels whatsoever. At the end, you’re expected to do fairly extensive checkout clean while still paying cleaning fee. Overall totally fine, just wouldn’t go there again for the price.

The place was exactly as advertised. The setting was wonderful for someone with little children, the beach was just the right size the paddleboat and the kayaks were great! The owners/caretakers were responsive and the four days that we spent there we’re heavenly!

The space was perfect. Water access was perfect. First time ever staying somewhere and the first thing I did was get a broom. Spiders everywhere!! The outside of the house was covered with cobwebs. Yellow jackets were around the deck space. Cobwebs and spiders in the house. For the amount of money we were charged for this VRBO I really was expecting a whole lot better! The grill was disgusting. The dumpster was full. There were stepping stones and a plank to walk across to get to the dock. I'm surprised the insurance carrier allows this. Again, for the amount of money charged, I am extremely disappointed in this property. Little attention to detail compared to the contract I signed and the details of what needs to be done at the end of your stay. Great family time but would not stay at this property again. I feel very misled and completely disappointed in the description of this property.

This home was on a beautiful lake, we rented a pontoon boat so lots of riding& tubing. Our kids played many hours on the beach, so great to have it right there. We all had a blast, highly recommend this place.

The cabin is exactly as described. It was clean the lake access was great. We loved the kayaks, the paddle boat and the fire pit. It slept 16 comfortably and it was nice to have 4 bathrooms for a group that size. Check in and check out were effortless and the property management were available and responsive! These things all matter. Here are some things I would like to share because it makes a difference depending on your group. We had 7 kids ages 8-15.
• The Sandy beach was awesome and the first 6 inches of water were clear and sandy bottom on the lake. This would be perfect for toddlers and little ones. For our big kids they didn’t want to jump off the dock into the weeds and they would only go on the lake if they were using the lily pad that we brought with us.
• There was one living/gathering space. It was a nice size, but it didn’t allow the teens to be somewhere other than the adults unless they were in their bedroom. The “kid” bedroom slept 6 but with a mattress on the floor for #7 there was no space for anyone to walk. I just say that as a point of reference. It was a good room for sleeping but not for hanging out in.
• The kitchen has no room in cabinets to store food. The fridge and freezer were a really nice size but if you’re with a big group for more than a few days food storage was a challenge. Particularly since there were so many plates and glasses and cooking utensils.
• Plan for a rain day! We had 2 of them (yikes) and luckily we

This was a great place for our children, grandchildren, and us to stay. The bunk bedroom was fun for all six of the cousins to sleep and giggle. I particularly liked the shaded deck in the late afternoon. It allowed the adults to converse and still keep an eye on the children playing in the water.
Remember to bring bar soap and shampoo.

My family and I (8 adults, 2 teens) enjoyed our stay at this lovely lake house. The pedal boat and kayaks were great amenities and we all enjoyed exploring the lake. The house was very clean and the kitchen had all that we needed to prepare our meals. The location is less than an hour drive from the Twin Cities, yet the peaceful surroundings makes one feel as though one is far from the hustle and bustle of the cities....just what the family needed, indeed.

We had a wonderful week in this large home on the lake. The kids swam and fished, and we all had space to do all we wanted to do. The kitchen was well supplied , and the bedrooms were spacious. The beach was great, and being on the point allowed us some privacy. There was room for lawn games, and plenty of parking. We will be back!

We needed a property for our entire family, fifteen total, and this met our expectations for the amount of space, the room arrangements and the supplies available. It was wonderful to have the four bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware, utensils, etc.
The house was very clean. The bumpers on the short side of the dock were perfect for our boat and the option to tie off to the dock was a great benefit. Our grandkids and our entire family really enjoyed the beach area and spent a lot of time in the water. The deck/patio was spacious enough for all of us to be on and enjoy time together. We would definitely recommend this property.

The location of the property was a wonderful surprise - you never know from photos. It was simply ideal: right on the water, yet on a pennisula with a hugh grassy area for yard games, etc. We had grandchildren with us and the water is just a couple feet deep for a good amount from the shore and they spent so much time in the water. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat provided. The house was set up perfectly for us - huge amount of living area, yet plenty of bedrooms/bathroom for everyone to have their space. Super clean. Great check in process. The town itself is charming and we enjoyed shopping, the bakery, bike riding, walking into town. We all voted this was our favorite vacation rental so far, and we have stayed in many. It was my husband and I, grown children and grandchildren. Highly recommend!

Had 3 of our kids' families with 6 grandchildren ages 4-8. The beach was great. Dock was very convenient for my boat and fishing for kids was within 200 yards. Lake got pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon (Saturday weather wasn't as nice). Foosball table helped greatly since we had off and on rain several days.

Absolutely what our family needed in a vacation. Peaceful, beautiful scenery and a well thought out VRBO. Appreciate the accommodations available here. Swimming beach was perfect for our kids and the dock fishing was action packed for children…. And dad.😬. Thank you for such a comfortable and very clean place to stay. We would rent again.

Lindstrom vacation 2022
We had a wonderful time on our vacation! Our kids range from ages 1-6, and the sleeping arrangements were perfect. The house was exceptionally clean, and we had a great time! Lawn was perfect for setting up a splash pad for the kids, and very private for fires at night. We will definitely be back!

Clean and peaceful
We were in this Lake House 3 nights for a wedding close to the place. The house was awesome (just like on the pictures) super clean, and well thought details. For example, we appreciated they had a bench in the kitchen for the kids. It was safer, stable, and easy to clean. There was wi-fi booster everywhere with the password so easy to connect once we arrived. The house came with laundry detergent for the wash machine.
The only issue we had was that the passcode to get into the house was incorrect. The house manager Kelly texted us the wrong code and guests were stuck for a while at the door. Luckily, one of the guests alerted the bride and groom to get that resolved during the wedding.
Besides that small incident, we saw the landlord when we left. He was very nice and we appreciated that we could leave him the non-opened drinks so his housekeeper could have them. No waste and happy people with free drinks!

Great family space
Lots of room for our multi-generational family. The teenagers loved the foosball table and the adults loved fishing from the beach. The deck and yard would have been great if the weather were nicer.

Wonderful Family Gathering Place
This property provided a wonderful place for our family holiday gathering. There was plenty of space inside the home. We enjoyed beautiful views of the lake from throughout the house. The card tables and chairs were appreciated for game and meal time. Our family had fun at the Lindstrom Lake House.

Truly a great setting for a quick family getaway. House is in a quiet neighborhood with a great setting on the water. Lots of great outdoor space for lots of family time and convenient layout inside for multiple families. Having use of the kayaks and paddle oat was great too!

Fun and Tranquility
Great lake home that was perfect for our family getaway. We really enjoyed playing in the lake and kayaking around the bay. With a few kids and a baby the space was perfect and the kids loved the bunk beds. There is plenty of space indoors and outdoors for everyone to enjoy. The house was clean and had everything we needed and the drive from the Twin Cities is short.

Great Lake House
Excellent location on South Center Lake in Lindstrom. We enjoyed the kayaks, pedal boat and fishing off the dock. The house was spacious and clean, with a very private feel since it is on a point and three sides adjoin the lake. Lots of room for families to enjoy time together and also have their own space. Owner and property manager were very responsive and pleasant.

Great Lake House!
This house was the perfect place for our 14 person group to stay for the weekend! The house pictures do not do this place justice and seem a little dated, they have definitely updated the rooms since the photos and its much more modern and functional for a large group! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for a weekend as well. The house has privacy being on the peninsula and a great yard for some yard games. We wish it would have been summer so we could have had the full lake experience but either way it was a great weekend getaway!
