We stayed for 4 days and enjoyed the back yard . Very relaxing. The house was lovely and had everything we needed. In the evening we relaxed and watched TV. The beds we so comfy. The only thing we didn't care for was the firestation next door was fairly noisey, not all the time, but occasionally. Not enough that we would not stay there again.

The town and house was perfect. The yard being gated was a great peace of mind for our kids playing outside. Any questions or conversations were replied to very fast. Very clean and beautiful. Having it so close to everything made planning our days easier and more efficient. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect! Everything we could have wanted was there at the house. The owners made the extra effort to consider every need (or want) of a potential renter. All the spices needed for meal preparation were provided. We used the clean gas grill, sat at the fire pit on the cool evenings, and soaked in the hot tub. The location is perfect and comfortably fit our oversized truck in the driveway. It is conveniently located near downtown and the beach.
We plan on staying longer next time!

We came to Cambria, having never stayed here before. We enjoyed the town including several restaurants and loved the cottage. It was so comfortable from the minute we walked in - nicely decorated and well appointed. I'd say the only negative was the cool weather which kept us from enjoying the firepit and outdoor seating as much as we wanted to. We definitely would love to return to the Wine Down Cottage. Thank you Diane and Ralph

A perfect place to stay in the Pines beside the Sea!

This was our second time at the lovely Wine Down cottage. It was even better than i remembered from the last time.
We stay in Cambria for a month. This time, our adult children and their partners came to visit for a week(2 stayed at the Cambria Pine Lodge across the street from the cottage. It was very convenient). Because the "kids" came to the house, we all used the many amenities that Diane and Ralph provide for their guests. We had a fire in the fire pit, soaked in the relaxing hot tub, and played bags(corn hole).
We also had our dogs with us. They very much approve of the large, securely fenced yard.
The cottage is fully updated and filled with light. It has an open floor plan that is very convenient for visiting with our family. The house is immaculate. The kitchen is fully stocked with every convenience, the beds are comfy and the bathrooms are beautifully appointed.
Diane and Ralph were very quick to respond to any questions we had. They are excellent hosts! If they allow us, we would love to stay at the Wine Down Cottage on our next trip to Cambria.

We loved this cottage in Cambria, it was extremely clean & the backyard grill & hot tub very were nice features. The best thing about it was the kitchen; which was the best provisioned I have ever seen in a VRBO. We enjoyed cooking & hanging out while also exploring the Cambria & San Simeon. The owner was easy to communicate with; all and all a wonderful stay.

We had a great finish to our family vacation here. The layout and rooms were comfortable and the entertaining are indoors and out was great for our group of 4. Would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay immensely at the Wine Down. The location is perfect….close to everything. The cottage was so cozy and charming and all decked out for Christmas! Although it was raining all week, we had such a great time here and got some much needed R and R as well.

Loved staying at the wine down cottage. It was decorated for the holidays and so close to the Christmas market and Main Street! The backyard was awesome for my family! We will be back!

Love love loved our Thanksgiving stay. Every imaginable pot and pan and utensil one needs for serious cooking. Walking distance to the Cambria Christmas Market. We highly recommend this property and the market.

This place had it all!! An amazing yard for the dogs to play, great spaces for the human to hang out, and close to everything we needed. This is a future return destination.

The rental was comfortable and well appointed. The back patio was private and relaxing. We appreciated the fenced in yard area so our dog could explore safely. No problems with noise from the neighboring fire station. Would return anytime.

We were in Cambria for almost a week, and the Wine Down house was wonderful! Diane, our host, was very welcoming, too. The house had everything we needed, was central to town, Fiscalini, and the beach. It was so easy to get around because of the location. My dog loved the big yard - there was plenty of room to throw the ball with a fire pit in the middle. And, plenty of seating was provided. An added bonus - because the house was near a hotel, we got to spend a couple of the evenings listening to the live music at the hotel. We had a fabulous time.

It may be the Wine Down Cottage but to our family it felt like an Enchanted Castle in the woods.The property has spectacular sunset views and the nightly stars in the sky. The accommodations were clean and fitting for the space making everything feel open and airy. Diane and Ralph really go above and beyond to cover all your needs for cooking/creating masterpiece meals in the rather large kitchen although most of our meals we used the BBQ outside to enjoy the fresh air and play with our furpups whom absolutely loved the spacious yard. The decor inside and out is very fitting for the wine down cottage and is done very tastefully. They Superb host who answers all questions promtly. It was like our home away from home and We look forward to another stay in the near future. 💜

The host was amazing and gave us a call right after. Check into the ensure we made it and had everything we needed. She gave suggestions of places to go and restaurants to eat at.
The home was perfect for our family and two little dogs. The backyard was amazing and split up into two sections. The main yard had a wood fire pit with a boat that my daughter enjoyed playing on there was a side yard off of the master bedroom that was additionally gated that had plenty of seating, a hot tub and a propane fire pit.
The beds were comfortable and adequate seating throughout the home, even though we spent majority of our time outside in the yard. Would stay again!
The town is a little bit sleepy and a lot of the shops and restaurants do close early so important to make note of that in case that is important to you. Also, the town doesn't have a major grocery store or drugstore, so you might want to plan ahead and stop in Paso Robles before continuing to Cambria. Not a deal breaker but just something to know in case you're looking for having a nice dinner at home.

This was a very cool house. Large backyard where our grandkids could play when they came to visit with a nice fire pit and plenty of chairs for entertaining. The hostess thought of everything from s’more sticks, firewood and coffee condiments to spices for BBQ and a very nice BBQ. Cambria Pines Lodge was a short walk down the street and moonstone beach was a 2 min drive. We will book this darling house again.

Great property that appears to have been remodeled four or five years ago. some areas, particularly with landscape items were broken, old looking, reducing the impression of an upscale property in my opinion. We did have a water issue with Culligan, that was no problem, case of water was left..thank you. We did purchase another case, additional toilet paper and paper towels. The hottub was great. Needed instruction for the TV system. Beds, bedding, towels were great. Would come back but for a week, not much to do in the town. Pete

Had a wonderful time staying here! Wine Down Cottage is absolutely perfect. The owners have really thought of everything and put their heart into this place. Our only regret is that wish we could have stayed longer. ☺️

My sisters and I absolutely loved the house. Very whimsical, eclectic decorations. Shabby-chic down to the plant holders. Unfortunately it rained most of the time were there and didn't get to hike or trail like we wanted. But the house was so cozy we just found our spots in the living room and curled up for card games. I would definitely recommend this place. Just as pictured. Hot tub and multiple patio furniture seating for 3 different places in the back yard, firepits plenty of yard space.

We have stayed at this beautiful home for our anniversaries for past 3 years and it is enjoyable always. The home is beautiful, comfortable , has a well stocked kitchen , wonderful back yard ,secret garden and in a quiet neighborhood but conveniently located to all amenities and sites.

Lodge Hill aka wine down cottage is our favorite place for vacation. Diane and Ralph have a perfect little piece of heaven. They have always made us feel welcome and are such great hosts. The comfort of their home is where we find a rejuvenating new outlook to our routine. We have stayed here several times and plan to return again soon. The location is near Main Street and a short drive to moonstone beach. The home is well supplied with games, kitchen needs and comfortable beds. Out side there are chairs and a fire pit to roast marshmallows and chat. If anyone wants to enjoy this gem you won’t be disappointed.

We would stay here again. Wonderful fam time , close to the beach and town of Cambria. We enjoyed the jacuzzi and fire pit. Secure parking… Everything was as pictured. Very comfortable stay.

We had a wonderful time in WDC, comfy, cozy and clean! It’s in an ideal location, 5 minutes drive from town. We felt completely safe. The yard is huge and my dog loved running and sniffing around. We will definitely stay there again and recommend it
to all our friends and family!

This home is so great. It is clean, updated, very well stocked and close to everything Cambria has to offer. We felt like the owners had really thought of everything. The beds were comfortable (so important for travelers!). The yard was perfect for my friends’ dog. The owners were in touch and check in and out was so easy. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

Cambria is our favorite getaway place and now we've found the perfect place to stay. The home is warm and inviting; decorated adorably for fall. The backyard was very comfortable, loved the multiple seating areas and fire pit to just hang out. We didn't use the hot tub but I'm sure it is a feature many would enjoy. Honestly chose this location due to the enclosed yard for our dog; and it was perfect. The location was great too, near Cambria Pines Lodge and close to town. We did a lot of walking and hiking nearby in Cayucus, Cambria and San Simeon; really great area. Would recommend this home to our friends and family it was that good!

Out of all the VRBO & AirBNnB rentals we have stayed in this was by far the best!!! Super clean, wonderful decorator touches, plenty of supplies, fully equipped just like home! Our fur babies had a wonderful yard to explore and enjoy too!!!
Close to restaurants and shopping but far enough to get out of the hustle/bustle! Owner very responsive and helpful. You can definitely tell they care about their home and want their guests to have a wonderful time….which we did!!! Looking forward to our next visit at The Wine Down Cottage!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Wine down Cottage! We have stayed other places over the years when we have visited the central coast , but this property was ideal and would be my first choice. Everything was great and Diane was super responsive and helpful. The property was immaculate and had all the comforts of home. So many thoughtful touches to make the stay enjoyable . The bed was super comfortable and the linens and towels were top notch. Having the garden areas to relax in were the icing on the cake. It is in a nice residential area and although there is some traffic, it was very quiet. The primary BR is situated near the back of the cottage so we never heard any noise at night and it opens up to a charming private garden area. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer this trip- thank you!

We stay at my sisters house in Moro Bay all the time! But it wasn’t available this weekend. We desperately needed a place to accommodate us and our doodles.. and we were taken by surprise with how awesome this place is!! I did happen to leave my tempurpedic pillow… but I’m holding out hope that the owner may hold it so we can come grab it asap! We are there a lot and are able to come anytime :)

Three women shared the cottage and everything was absolutely perfect! The location was ideal for walking along the moonstone beach walk, shopping in Cambria, wine tasting in San Simeon and a long hike on the San Simeon loop trail. The beds were very comfortable and the cottage had all of the amenities we needed. Can't wait to come back!

Life is for family and so is Wind Down Cottage
We thoroughly enjoyed our 4th of July stay at this homey cottage. Our dog joined us and loved being outside with us around the firepit.
All the amenities were 5* Hotel type and made us feel spoiled. Easy entry, fun cottage'y decor shows you luxury and charm.
We played dominoes and cards, watched TV which includes all the fancy networks, and cooked in their well appointed kitchen.
Great communication with owner with answers to any questions that come up.
Perhaps our 1st Annual Family 4th of July Cambria Vacation. Thanks to all who help us enjoy this Wind Down Cottage!
