Good heating, big apartment like in the pictures and comfortable.

There were works in the appartment upstairs with noise and the lift was really small and dirty due to the works, when I asked why nobody told me before arriving they lied and said they didn't know. When I told them neighbours told me it had been like that for 2 months, they had to admit they knew making a poor excuse. With two babies that noise is unacceptable for a week, they didn't consider giving us any compensation for this. As an extra detail, there are 5 stairs to get to the lift, just so you know if you have a trolley. Forget about fitting a double trolley on the lift by the way. Besides, they have a camera in the private corridor which joins bedrooms bathroom and kitchen/living room without any notice. They told me it was disabled after I asked, but not sure how to believe them. A big privacy concern there. The oven was broken, one of the reasons I took the apartment. They took many hours and many questions, video, photo requests, and many cheap excuses to gain time, then decided they could send someone to have a look the day after while we weren't at home... I told them not to as the reason why I needed it had passed. The entrance to the Retiro Park is a 12 minutes walk from the apartment, up the hill. Then you have to climb another steep stair, possible with a trolley but would have been better to stay further in a place with good parking and go by car or underground when needed. The name "charming retiro" doesn't fit as well having this into account. Another thing: There is a BIG security risk on the apartment. They use a website to open and close the doors (no physical key). The URL doesn't ask for a password, which exposed it to anyone with some basic knowledge of cyber security. Overall a nice apartment but poor customer service, lying staff which can be tricky if there are issues as happened to me, and not so good location with a big security risk.

The best apartment among the 5 we stayed in Spain and Portugal. It has everything we need and more.

1. Upon checking in, we immediately noticed a continuous sound of impact coming from the upstairs neighbor. We promptly raised our concerns to the staff, hoping for assistance and open communication. However, the staff member responded by stating that it was beyond their control and they couldn't provide any help. 2. The lighting in the master bedroom was noticeably flickering, which led us to avoid spending much time in that area. After a few days of our stay, when we lifted the pillows to use our laptop on the bed, we were shocked to discover evident bloodstains underneath. We immediately reported this matter to the staff and explicitly requested a replacement of the bed sheets. However, the staff member sent us a photo of the bed with two pillows covered, insisting that their sheets were clean. They declined to offer any assistance and clearly stated that we were responsible for resolving the issue with the bed sheets. 3. The bathroom tiles in the master bedroom were visibly cracked, with peeling and patchy paint. This indicated that the pictures provided by the staff deliberately concealed the truth, revealing a lack of proper maintenance and repairs in the house. Throughout our stay, the disrespectful attitude of the staff members and their irresponsible handling of the situation have been the most unpleasant aspects of our Madrid journey. My family came to Madrid for a conference and presentations at IFEMA Madrid. We have never encountered such a disappointing experience during any of our trips. During our stay here, the staff were only willing and able to provide online responses, without any substantial assistance or support! I am confident that you can find much better accommodation options in Madrid than this!

We loved the spaciousness and quiet location of the apartment.

The bedrooms were cold at night and there were no extra covers or blankets to make up for that.
