Older house on a large, fenced park like property. My dog liked running around in it. The house is set back about 100' from a busy road. There is a beautiful large deck in the back having nice views of the Sound. However, the appliances on the deck i.e. BBQ, heat lamps were not maintained and don't work well. As far as inside the house: It has a musty smell which takes some getting used to. Taking showers was difficult due to minimal hot water and tubs hard to climb over. WiFi and cable worked well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

A lovely hidden gem in Mukilteo with a gorgeous view of the Sound, Whidbey Island and Mount Baker in the background from the back. This house has the charm of a Grandma's house with comfy furnishings and modern amenities in the kitchen along with all the dishes and cooking utensils you would need. We had a group for dinners on the huge deck that extends the living area to the outdoors. Nice seating arrangements and a grill.
Our grandchildren were enamored with the croquet set and the yard with a glider out front and the large backyard to run in.
The house was clean on arrival and offered a washer/dryer in the basement. The proprietor was attentive and available during the stay.
I would certainly stay again if I didn't live on the East Coast!

Coastal Charm
Wow! This is a adorable cottage with all the charm! The view from deck was everything! We mostly sat on the porch and enjoying the view! The kitchen had everything needed to enjoy our meals! The cottage is even close to restaurants! Ivar’s is a must! Lots a great places near by for brunch. We are getting dates together to come back next year!

Beautiful house
The property was very beautiful. It feels private, quiet, and secluded. The deck overlooking the sound is stunning, and the occasional bunny was a wonderful surprise. However, the communication with the host left more to be desired. We were given the wrong address (house number), and the host number had a missing digit. Once we figured out what the number was and called, it went straight to voicemail. Not a great start. The other number also went to voicemail as well. We were having trouble connecting to the internet. The host was very slow to respond (7-8 hours). We finally used the internet password on the Xfinity box (not the one provided by host) and we’re able to connect. Other than that, the house was charming and quaint. There was a strong smell of stale cigarette smoke in the entry area, but the rest of the house didn’t have that problem. It’s a little cold and drafty downstairs, but the upstairs bedrooms were surprisingly warm, the beds comfortable, and the jetted tub superb!! The house had a wonderful “coming over to grandmas” feel :) overall, it’s a great spot. Mukilteo is a great area, and is pretty central to everything you may want to do in the greater Seattle area.

We were here for our daughter’s wedding and close to venue.
The property is beautiful, tucked away but close to everything. The hosts were great and very prompt to response to any concerns or needs.

Gym Meet Everett
Very nice location, we were able to catch a ferry for a day on Whidbey Island, close nice restaurant's. Do not shop in the Safeway on 41st and rucker we had a very bad experience with some stealing customers and was in back of the leader of the group. We had issues with the lighting, many of the light bulbs were out and needs to be replaced. We had to sweep upstairs as there was a lot of dog hair on the carpet and wood floor. Dishwasher needs to anchored in its location.
Nice yard and decks for summer time use

Absolutely Perfect!
We were in town for a funeral. Our friend lived around the corner so not only did we have the benefit of a lovely home too stay in, it was in walking distance of our gathering. The house is so cozy and charming. And Elizabeth was wonderful trying to accommodate all our needs, I can't thank her enough. Although we didn't need these amenities for our particular stay, the large grass would be a fun area for kids to play and the ample deck seating would be perfect for outdoor gatherings. When visiting in the future, we will definitely look here first!

Fabulous
My wife and I fell in love with the Mukilteo area during a trip several years ago, and when we were looking for a place in the northwest to take our family, this property jumped out. Couldn't be happier. We visited during a record heatwave, and Elizabeth communicated early and often in an effort to ensure we were comfortable. She is a treasure, and so is this lovely home.

Such a lovely home. So many charming elements I don’t know where to begin. Highly recommended for a quiet getaway to the Everett/Mukilteo area.

Beautiful Respite
This is wonderfully comfortable home filled with treasures that delight your aesthetic senses. We had four adults working through the week, and were able to spread out during the day and come together for evenings of sunsets on the deck (enabled in Oct by the great heat lamps), games and wine. The hosts were very responsive when we had a few hiccups during our extended stay. It was just what we needed to rebuild ourselves for the coming months.

Great Location!
The check-in process was not great. The cleaners were still there after the checkin time (4:00pm) then didn't leave a key anywhere so we had to run after them. On top of that there were hairs found on the bedspreads. Other than that our stay was wonderful. The porch and view of the sound we're definitely the highlights of this house along with how close it was to town. Very comfortable for 6 people.

Beautiful home with views of Puget Sound
We stayed at this amazing property for about 4 months whilst working in the US. Our two girls loved playing in the large yard and spotting all the squirrels and the odd rabbit. The house was nice and warm during the winter months and the deck area was great on the clear days we had to enjoy the views of Mt Baker and the sound. Mukilteo is a great little community that we wished we could have stayed in permanently.

Very relaxing and peaceful but still close to Seattle
The pictures don't do justice to this very quaint and beautiful property. The outdoor deck is massive and provide a fantastic view of Mt. Baker and surrounding islands. Lots of very comfortable seating both indoor and out and the views are not limited to the deck. Lots of windows to enjoy the scenery. Landscaping very beautiful. Amazing roses and other flowers. Kitchen very functional and enough dishes to accommodate everyone. Gas grill on deck as well as heaters should the weather be chilly. Living areas very nicely decorated, comfortable and have a cottage feel. Roadway busy but you do not hear any traffic that would disturb the tranquility you can enjoy. Bedrooms and beds very comfortable as well. Owners easy to contact and very responsive. The only item we needed while there was a request for a later checkout due to flight timing. Owners granted our request and I am sure would have done so with any other request we might have made. Very pleased with our rental and stay. Would try to stay again should the opportunity arise. Two items of note. The driveway is very easy to miss and quite steep. Also, there are many "knickknacks" that lend to the cottage feel that may be tempting for toddlers to play with. Just be mindful and put them up out of reach to insure safety.
All in all, a 5 star stay. We were very relaxed and sorry to leave. You will enjoy.

Relaxing property with great views
This is our second family vacation at the Edgewater Cottage. It has a great location, accommodates our large family and we love spending time on the deck. This is our go to location when in the northwest!

Comfortable haven from daily tourist bustle
Our family of 5 were very comfortable in this home during our vacation to the area. The distance from Seattle city center was worth the drive to escape to quiet evenings and dining on the deck with great views. The kitchen was perfectly equipped and we greatly appreciated the obvious starter supplies so we didn’t have to dash immediately to the store. Loved the big parking area and private yard. The grill was in great shape and the beds very comfy. Highly recommend this location and this house.

Beautiful Restful Home Away From Home
This rental home was more than I could have hoped for. First of all, the views were spectacular from each room in the house. That was impressive! It was enjoyable to work in the kitchen. It had everything we needed to prepare our meals. Each of the bedrooms was beautifully decorated and the beds were very comfortable. There is one bathroom on each level, and the one upstairs has a jacuzzi tub to take a relaxing bath in. I really appreciated being able to do our laundry here during our extended stay. This is a pet friendly rental, and I can tell you that our dog felt right at home here. She was very sad to leave! The owners of this property are accommodating and hospitable. They wanted to make sure we had everything we needed and we could call them with any questions. I highly recommend staying at this rental. It is a peaceful setting and a lovely home.

Scent of the Sound
Beautiful cottage, with comfortable and homey furnishings. The best part may be the expansive deck, which is slightly elevated for a very decent view. The air is fresh with the scent of the sea and the encircling trees.
The living room contains two sofas which are excellent for sleeping one person each, after removing cushions and placing bedsheets. The owners were very nice and even let us in a bit early to put our frozen stuff in the freezer. The driveway gate opens to the road and is quite small; look for the little white sign.

I stayed at this lovely home for a month for work and it was absolutely amazing. Gorgeous on the inside and out. Especially loved the back porch with the view of the water. Everything about it is wonderful. Would definitely stay again.

Home away from home
Elizabeth did everything in her power to make sure we felt comfortable, and it worked. The house is great, and the view is breathtaking. We had to stay for an extended period of time for medical reasons, so to say we missed home was an understatement, but her home was the next best thing. We slept well, were able to prepare home cooked meals, and simply went about our daily routine comfortably and safe. Staying in a hotel with our dogs would have been awful, and extremely expensive. She was easy to contact and always reasonable.

Loved it. Will go again.
Was it the view we loved best? The house? The deck? The privacy? The comfy bedrooms? Full kitchen? The closeness to wonderful restaurants? The conveniences of shopping? The peacefulness? How helpful the owners were? The ease getting to and from Seattle? Whidbey Island? Why, yes! It was all of those things and something that can’t be described in words. You have to wake up in this house to understand. Edgewater Cottage, we miss you and we will be back! Joe and Beth, thank you!

Perfect place for a family vacation
Beautiful vacation home with everything you can possibly need! It offers you something that is better than the picture and the description in the listing. The owners, Joe and Beth, are kind, meticulous, and generous. The beautiful house is sitting in the middle of a large garden that has many trees, including blackberry trees from which you can pick blackberries and eat them. From the spacious front deck, you can see the Puget Sound while having bbq you cooked using the gas grill on it. Kitchen is well stocked, including a bottle of desert wine. The location is perfect too. Ferry from Mukilteo to Whidbey Island is 2 minutes away. The Japanese Gulch trail is 30 seconds away. Quite a few restaurants and groceries are nearby. There are many interesting places within a day trip range, including San Juan Islands and Deception Pass. My wife and I liked this place so much that we came back to stay here for a couple more weeks after staying here for a week a short while ago. We will definitely come back to stay here next time we are on a vacation in the Seattle area.

Quaint and quiet
We had such a lovely time staying at this rental. Charm in spades. Wonderful, spacious outdoor deck with two working grills and amazing views. Very, very private and quiet. Accommodated two families with three kids between us with more than enough room. The owner, Elizabeth, was a total hostess: very courteous and quick to respond to requests for additional blankets, quirks about the house and information about area amenities. The property was rustic and well loved which made it perfect for a stay with three children under the age of 5 once we put some of the beautiful family items and more delicate knick-knacks up out of reach. This will be our "go to" stay in Mukilteo for any future visits. Can't say enough about it. There were even some kids toys and a wooden boat outdoor that the little ones spent hours playing with. Car recommended as there is a quickie mart down the street but otherwise not much to walk to. I believe the property is dog-friendly as it seems someone had one there. Downstairs bedroom has a private exit but the stairs (internal and external) might be a little difficult for someone with mobility issues to navigate.
