Orchard house in BX close to Vernon, on hiking trails, close to skiing.
Ferme restaurée des années 1940 dans un verger biologique surplombant Vernon. Les champs autour de la maison étaient autrefois pleins de pommiers spartiates, nous l'appellerons donc Spartan House (il reste un petit bosquet de Spartans). La maison est entièrement équipée avec beaucoup d'espace pour jusqu'à 8 personnes. Le rez-de-chaussée est à aire ouverte avec cuisine, salle à manger, salon et entrée ainsi qu'une chambre, salle de bain et salle de lavage. A l'étage, trois chambres et une autre salle de bain complète.
Il y a un grand patio à côté de la salle à manger avec une piscine à la disposition des clients pendant les mois d'été.
Au cours des prochaines années, nous allons agrandir le verger en ajoutant une forêt alimentaire d'arbres fruitiers et de noix.
Nous sommes situés sur 20 acres dans la zone BX à 7 km de Vernon BC. Le sentier du canal Grey borde la propriété s'étendant sur 50 km le long des collines de la vallée et est idéal pour le vélo, la randonnée, l'équitation et la raquette. Les chutes BX sont à seulement 3 km de randonnée le long du sentier depuis la maison. Sovereign Lake Nordic Center est à 20 minutes en voiture de la colline et Silver Star Mountain Resort est à quelques minutes au-delà. Okanagan, Kalamalka, les lacs Swan et 3 parcs provinciaux sont tous à proximité.

Property was very nice, couple issues with cleanliness from previous guests that were rectified instantly by the host. Little lacking when it came to kitchen staples but we have been spoiled at other VRBOs. Overall it was very peaceful and relaxing with the town and stores close by. Would definitely recommend for someone looking for a nice retreat.

The house was well located for us as we played golf in Kelowna, Vernon and Salmon Arm. It had all the amenities that we needed. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, bowls and dishes. The TV only had streaming services, so we did miss a Stanley Cup playoff game very minor inconvenience. Very quiet at night.

This is our second time booking this property. It’s the perfect accommodation for a getaway with our extended family — six adults and two kids — with lots of space and peace and quiet. The house is well equipped and the pool and hot tub are a nice bonus.

Beautiful spot to come back to after a day of skiing and snowsports! Comfortable, spacious, quiet, clean, warm, cozy, relaxing. Quick, easy drive to Silver Star and Sovereign Lakes x-country. Hot tub is wonderful. Lots of room for families.

Stay at Spartan House in Vernon was great. Minor issue during stay was addressed right away by owner. Needed to have contractor come in and worked with us regarding time so not to interfere with our schedule. Owner dropped in to make sure everything was good. Nice quiet place to stay. Would stay again if in the area.

We return to the Orchard homes for our annual Nordic ski vacation because:
1) Patrick, Sean and their kids are attentive, excellent hosts.
2) The beds are all comfortable.
3) The homes stay warm and are easily climate controlled.
4) The location is great; 20 min from skiing and close to Vernon for provisions
5) Close proximity to the hiking trail and very close to the outstanding Vernon dog park
6) Kitchens are stocked well enough for scratch cooking
If you prefer a country setting and low-key post ski relaxing/gathering, the Orchard homes are highly recommended.

Wonderful house. Clean, well stocked with the basics (even provided olive oil and coffee beans!) PLENTY of room. Fireplace was so cozy. It was too cold for pool, but hot tub was amaze. We did picture that we would be in a secluded farmhouse, but it was on a bit of a busy culdesac with a pilates studio. Patrick was informative and friendly. Easy to communicate with.

My spouse and I booked this property for a friends get away , with 2 other couples
Beds were comfortable, kitchen amenities were all you needed , close enough to shopping and stores .
Great place for my dog as the yard was fenced and lots of area to walk him.
The pool was wonderful even though it was late in the year we did use it a few times, the hot tub was the star at this time of year and it was used continuously.
Owners were friendly and accommodating, supplied everything we needed in a timely fashion . We would definitely stay here again . Thank you Patrick and Sean for the wonderful vacation experience!!

We had a fantastic time at the house. Quiet and private property, yet near enough to town to be able to easily run in for a coffee in the morning.
the pool was very well used, as was the hot tub, and our dog loved having the large fenced front yard to be free to run in. Such a great option to be able to let her run and have fun, while the rest of the family is enjoying the amenities.
The house is a very nice size, clean and comfortable, well suited for a family.
Our hosts were excellent, there was a bit of a concern over being able to travel here due to the fires, yet we were past the cancellation period; they told us not to worry, see how it goes, they would honour the cancellation if we couldn't make it.....Ive heard issues with other renters who didn't have such understanding hosts, it gives me so much more confidence in the integrity of Patrick and Sean.
Highly recommend staying here, you won't be disappointed.

I stayed here with my siblings and it was a wonderful time! Twas a super fun family reunion. We grew up in the BX 1 km away from this house so it was wonderfully nostalgic! Big space to accommodate a big group and the pool was a super awesome add on! We also took advantage of the walking trails nearby to bx creek. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. Would definitely stay again, thanks!

We have been going to Spartan House for a few years and our grandchildren love the pool. They look forward to seeing the sheep travel by and are always on the lookout for deer. Great hub to visit the attractions in Vernon and Lake Country. Patrick is always ready to assist.

This is our fourth time staying at the property and once again it was a fabulous stay. We are always sad to say goodbye to the tranquil surroundings, the hiking, and of course the pool!

We had a fabulous time at Curlew Orchards! We rented both homes plus the cabin to accommodate a family reunion at the end of June.
The setting is lovely with view of the orchard and nearby mountains.
The home worked well for our group and we found what we needed in the kitchen. The washer and dryer (including detergent) were appreciated.
The pool and hot tub were a huge hit with the kids!!

Place was awesome. Patrick is great at communicating back in an extremely fast timeline. Couple of things to think about...a few extra garbage bags, a couple of cookie type sheets, a couple of mixing/big salad type bowls, pepper shaker.....minor things NOT to complain about just to make this place even better than it already is. Would highly recommend this vrbo place

My husband and I stayed here, along with our parents and dogs (2). We were looking for time off of our daily routine and to relax, not with a lot of activities outside the property as our parents cannot walk a lot, so we were looking for a property with alternatives to do within it. I love that the property has a pool and the weather was very good during our stay. We did a lot of pool, and board games. Patrick and Sean were very responsive when we needed something. And our dogs also enjoyed the outdoors!

This home is on its own in an orchard but these is still more people around than we thought there would be. There is a pilates studio next door and also a small cabin that gets rented out and they all use the same driveway for access. The home is spacious and the yard is a decent size, hot tub is a bonus as the pool would be in season. The kitchen has dishes and cook ware but no cookie sheets. There are no supplies for cooking like foil, parchment paper, suran wrap, paper towel or napkins (we requested these supplies and were brought them by the owners) There are also no condiments supplied other than S&P, small amount of oil, sugar and coffee. Every other rental property we have stayed at supplied these things so I thought it was important to mention. Had we know we would have brought our own for cooking our meals. Over all great place to stay and would definitely return.

Beautiful with the farms all around! Quiet, relaxing, and so comfy and cozy in the winter with the fireplace and hot tub! Perfect downhill ski/snowboard and x-country ski vacation <3 We even saw northern lights while soaking in the hot tub!

This place is conveniently located to the ski hill. The house itself is clean, spacious, and beautifully located. There are plenty of kitchen supplies. The hosts are friendly and very open to any help. A place we would like to return!
