TV didn’t work, ac on constantly and very noisy. The coffee/tea/water wasn’t replenished.

Room was quiet, a good size with a very comfortable bed,seating area and a nice balcony. The bathroom had hot water and a good shower. Really good location,not far from the main Street of Mirissa. The pool was very refreshing The staff were really lovely and helpful. Breakfast was also very tasty.

great location for staying in Mirissa! the straff are the friendliest people :) very close to the grocery store, beach and everything you need. Really nice breakfast as well

There was not hot showering water

We had a great stay! It's a small hotel, with all the facilities you need. The room is spacious and well maintained, the Sri Lankan breakfast is amazing (do request for this when arriving!). The pool is really nice to have for a dip after surfing. It's next to a super busy and loud street, but in the hotel you don't notice anything of this :)

It could get cleaned / have clean towels a bit more often, but if you ask the owner this will get done.

Very cozy place! caring staff who understand that it is not always easy for tourists in a new country and will always help you with your questions! we were helped with pcr tests and even after check out we were allowed to stay for a day and take a shower, special thanks for that!!! ❤️ you made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable! Separately, I want to note the good Internet, which allowed me to work remotely without any difficulties. Now I'll send you warm "hello" from snowy Moscow, as it was written at my t-shirt! I stayed here with my boyfriend during the Covid 19 lockdown. We chose Kalu because the facilities are impeccable- lovely pool, TV, nice balcony and air con. We are very grateful to the owner for treating us so well during such an uncertain and worrying time. We were made to feel like family. As the on-site restaurant was unable to function during the curfew, we were allowed to use the kitchen as our own, and the owner even cooked us a few meals. The property is very clean and comfortable. I also wanted to mention the two young boys who were very sweet and helpful, the youngest very keen to chat to improve his (already amazing) English. Thank you for your kindness and we hope you are all keeping well.

Friendly place and owner, good location

The location was good in a quiet neighborhood. Near a big supermarket and nice places for breakfast. The room was nice and big. The beds were very comfortable. There was a fridge. Also everyday the room was cleaned. The boy who worked there was kind and very interested.

After traveling for three weeks in Sri Lanka, this was by far our most disappointing stay. The hotel was quite overpriced. Mainly the the woman who owns this place wasn't focussed on her guests. She only did the check-out and was not interested if you had a pleasant stay or not. When we wanted to check-out we had to wait 15 minutes for her to get our of bed first, even though it was late in the morning. Also the warm water was not really working. Also too bad that the beds by the pool didn't have cushions, which made it not very pleasant to lay by the pool.
