We had a pleasant and restful time. The cabin is charming.

Our dog loved having a fenced yard to explore! What a great location and a unique house! Only downside was I had to sleep on the couch, as our dog could not negotiate the staircase and would not let us both sleep upstairs without having a fit and trying to climb the stairs. So this house may only be suitable for smaller dogs that can climb the stairs or be carried up by their human. Peaceful location and wonderful deck.

My wife, two dogs and I really enjoyed our stay at the Carter cabin. Loved the big TV for watching March madness, plus the ability to log in to our Netflix account since it's a smart TV. The yard is nicely fenced in for dogs, including the back deck where we enjoyed soaking in the sun. The southern Oregon Coast is very scenic, there are many pullovers to check out the view or the beach. Arch Rock viewpoint was the best.

Quiet, peaceful location. House is very cozy with many interesting custom touches giving it a wonderful coastal feeling. My wife loved the clawfoot bathtub. The dogs enjoyed the freedom of a fenced yard. Thanks for a wonderful vacation from the ice and snow where we live.

This cottage of character provide us a quiet refuse to rest, talk, smile and hold each other as the world seem to be going mad. The vintage wood, sprial stairs with carved railing and high ceilings were an example of a period long ago. Cuddling by the wood insert in the foreplace in a blanket with herbal tea, sharing the grear adventures of 52 years of marriage, military career, law enforcement career, raising our children and being grandparents. Planning for what life's goals will be with leukemia and where do we go next. Wonderful opportunity to reminisce and be thankful.

Carter cabin was perfect for our family vacation and our dog enjoyed the fenced yard. Beds were very comfortable. We’ll definitely return to this cabin!

The four of us absolutely loved this fantastic vacation rental! The house is conveniently located within 7 minutes driving to Gold Beach. It's situated in such a way that seems very private within the surrounding trees. Our host communicated wonderfully throughout the process of booking and checking in and out, and was quick to respond to my many questions. The house itself is beautiful with it's natural wood throughout, tasteful decor, and cleanliness. The beds and linens were super comfy! Cooking in this house was a delight with plentiful kitchen utensils and dinnerware. Relaxing on the deck every evening after a day of adventuring was heavenly! Deer and their fawns came by every day and were not bothered by our presence as they would just lay on the lawn and relax. It's nice to have two bathrooms with four adults, and also to have the bedrooms upstairs so people can watch tv downstairs without disturbing those sleeping. We would stay here again in a hot flash should we return for another visit to Gold Beach!

The house is one of the better designed vacations homes we have stayed in. It's a craftsman house full of artistic design flourishes but it also offers great living spaces that are fun. It's the perfect size for a family. The yard is fully fenced and so is great for dogs, too. It's just up the hill from HWY 101 and some of the most dramatic beaches you can find. Although very close to the ocean, the house is sheltered beneath tall trees that buffer the yard from the wind. The treetops are in constant motion from the sea breeze, but the yard below is calm and comfortable. We will for sure stay there again.

The house was just as advertised. The deck perfect. The area was quiet. Had deer in the yard almost every day.

We enjoyed every day of our stay. The house has a nautical/fishing vibe and the property is huge. Very private area surrounded by woods. The beach is a five minute drive away. Definitely our favorite place to stay in Gold Beach!

Cabin was cute and cozy with perfect amount of room for our family of 3 and 2 dogs. The fenced in yard was great so you could sit outside in the front yard or patio and let the dogs run without worrying they would get out. Nice quiet neighbor hood. Only issue was the stairs to get up to the bedrooms on the 2nd story. They are a spiral staircase made from wood that is beautiful but narrow and can be scary and hard to walk up and down if not sure footed. Lots of cobwebs and floors could have been cleaner in the corners. With the cobwebs it did feel like a cabin in the wood. Beds were very comfortable and kitchen is well stocked.

The Carter House worked well for our family. We enjoyed the uniqueness of the property. The host was available by phone to meet any needs. Internet was too slow for scheduled zoom or pretty much anything via internet. It was a nice digital detox.

We enjoyed the peace and quiet of Carter House. It was so nice that both the front and back had fencing so our dog had space to explore. My husband noticed and appreciated the custom woodwork and walls of the house. I loved the ability to enjoy a coffee in the morning with a fire. Great location and great stay.

Great home. Beautiful location with deer lying in yard on occasion. Real close to great tide pools. Loved the museum in Gold Beach. Comfortable beds and great location for dogs.

Perfect place for a quiet getaway with pets. So nice to let them outside without worry or leashes. The home was charming, cozy, and decor very cool! Beds were comfortable. I was grateful for a stable bar to hold onto to get up the bigger steps (2) between the living space and kitchen. The host/hostess was always quickly available to answer questions and help us out with the tv/remote. TV was much easier to operate than expected. Personally I had just had urgent eye laser surgery the day before our trip for torn retina so I had a little difficulty with depth perception on the spiral stairs but don’t think it would have been a problem otherwise. The tub was like a spa experience; perfect hot water and comfortable. This home was a short drive to several beaches! We will definitely be back!!

We enjoyed the kitchen area and the large table with benches in the space there in the kitchen. The large couch was also very comfy. Outdoor deck area was great for morning coffee and a book.

The area is fairly remote, but secure with our fishing gear, which is what we were looking for. Parking the boat in the driveway can be challenging if you are not experienced. But we didn't have any trouble. Back deck is large and enjoyable. Stairs can be tough with bags if you are not used to them. Everything was clean and in order. Thank you Leslie.

We really liked the location and privacy of the property. Not far off the 101 but tucked in the hills. So quiet. Deer in the yard nearly every day. House was clean and comfortable and well stocked. The deck is a great place to unwind at the end of the day.

I absolutely loved our stay at this place. It was incredibly cozy, secluded just enough, and the host was fantastic. They even went out of their way to help us set up a slow cooker because we forgot ours. This trip was my plan to propose to my now fiancé, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. What a charming property nestled in some woods and just minutes up the hill from the beach. Everything you need is there.

My wife and I needed to get away for a few days and this place was perfect. It was clean, secluded, and had everything we needed. There were deer around every day and hummingbirds flying around while I sat in the Adirondack chairs enjoying the peace and quiet.

Fantastic location minutes from the beach. Private, clean and plenty of room for small family. One of a kind home with amazing features to include large deck.

This was a very groovy cabin with lots of unique furniture and detailed woodwork. We (three adults and three dogs) had a great time reading in the sun on the large porch (sheltered from the wind by mature trees, cooking in the well-equipped kitchen, enjoying a cozy fire from the extra-large couch at night, and sleeping in the comfy beds, The property was quiet, just up the hill from the ocean and convenient to town and local attractions. The owner was helpful and accommodating, she replied to communication quickly. Overall, a great stay I'd recommend!

We had the best time! The property is amazing! So fantastic for dogs! So quiet, peaceful and close to the beach. It had everything we wanted. The fenced yard for the dog was amazing! We will definitely be back!
