The cottages are in a prime location overlooking the beach. Mr.Tayoob is friendly and polite. This property is one of a kind. Nevin and Naushad took care of all our requirements and went out of their way to make us feel at home.The breakfast was really good.There's a cafe right next to it for lunch and dinner. I had an amazing time and would definitely be back.

One of the best experiences I had in a while on a trip. Place is located right next to Odayem beach and has private access to beach. Cottages are super awesome and clean. Nevin, who is the manager and Thayoob, who is the owner, are super friendly and amazing people. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone planning to visit Varkala. For us Kerala Cottage was the best accommodation during our stay in Kerala. Location: Most of the hotels in Varkala are located on top of the cliffs and you would have to take steep stairs to access the beach. However, Kerala cottages are located next to the cliff making it one of the few places with direct acces to the beach. The area is super quiet and peaceful, you can enjoy the sunsets directly in front of your cottage. The cottages all have ocean view as they are located next to each other in a row. The cottage itself: super clean and cute, has everything you need. Breakfast: amazing! Served on a little terrace with ocean view. You have a mix of traditional Kerala breakfast and western dishes. Staff and service: the whole team is just super friendly and helpful. They helped us organizing a train/ and or taxi to our next destination and there is a laundry service if you request it. The atmosphere at Kerala cottages is really great.

It's beautiful location facing the sea is so peaceful. I stayed at Kerala Cottage with my mother for 3 days and we had such a delightful experience. Mr. Taiyab Ali, Navin and staff took great care of us. They also arranged auto for us to see Jatayu temple and Kayaking. Breakfast was delicious with a view. It has Keralian as well as continental options. Sunsets are so gorgeous from the property. North cliff and Varkala beach is 20 minutes walk from there and we could also go to Black sand beach and swim there. It has private beach access. Would come again and highly recommended.

Ous stay was short but sweet, the staff (Thayoob, Nevin, Noushad, Vini, Sasikala) were lovely and so helpful. The surroundings are peaceful with lots of birds, beautiful trees and of course the sea. Delicous Kerala-style available, amonf many other options.

We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage is very beautiful. The ocean is just a few meters away so you can hear the waves all the time and it’s really nice. The staff is very forthcoming and so friendly. They helped us with everything we needed. We had breakfast everyday, which was also delicious. We can definitely recommend this place and are looking forward to coming back one day!

The so helpful and generous staff (Nevin, the manager, and the owner helped us book the train tickets, as if we were from the family. The rest of the staff has also been very kind!!), the breakfast (extremelly complete, could choose Keralan and/or Continental specialties of an exquisite flavour and quality), the cottage is clean, spacious and fully equipped, the location is unique.

If you come to Kerela cottage, you’ll notices that you have find a gem between pebbles. This place is located right at the beach with a beautiful seaside view. After arriving you’ll instantly feel more relaxed due to its set-up, the natural surroundings and the personal welcoming you. Compared with the other cottage’s placed along the coastline, this one is really peaceful and quiet. No tourists passing by in this part of town. The place is well located and you’ll be at famous Varkala beach in about twenty minutes of a walk. The boutiques and shops are also nearby. If walking doesn’t suit you, the personal is happy to arrange a rig shaw for you. If you need anything at all, the personal will be there. Wether it is to arrange transport, activities, house cleaning or food. They will take care of it. They are very polite and they will make sure you’ll have the best experience while staying at the Kerela cottage. The cottages themselves are very well maintained, it’s very clean, the furniture is durable and the set up is very cozy. It has all facilities you need to make your stay comfortable. Breakfast in the morning, is also delightful start of they day. With seaside view, awesome food and top service. I would rate the place and it’s personal the highest grade. If you stayed over you understand why it has such a high rating.

Property is based near sea view which is very pleasant. Rooms are too way beautiful with all necessary amenities. Owner and staff are very helpful. They personally monitor if you need any assistance. I would highly recommend this property if u need perfect vacation 1000/100

The manager Nevin is simply fantastic and he helped us a lot - Daily cleaning - Breakfast with a view to the beach, hearty breakfast with different options and deliciuos pancakes

The complimentary breakfast was incredible - with an ocean view, wonderful staff and food. The private cottage was very clean and comfortable. The property is central to many great restaurants and outdoor activities.

Very friendly and helpful staff who seems to be on call 24/7! Beautiful location set among small tropical gardens with hammocks. A few mins walk from the beach. Large spacious and comfortable cottage. Breakfast is served on the 1st-floor terrace about the reception. Ample selection of food cooked fresh to order.

Would have loved some cushions for the breakfast chairs as they are very hard and uncomfortable. We did find this issue quite a bit across India. The bathroom while very large was a bit basic and dingy. Improved lighting would have helped.
