The house is exactly as depicted in photos - beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, highest quality linens, and welcoming details throughout the house. The flow of the house is great for families - plenty of space in bedrooms, kid-friendly finished basement, warm cozy sun room, peaceful living room, front porch with rockers and view of the sound and beach in front. Quiet neighborhood great for walks along the waterfront and kids on scooters. This was a wonderful experience for our family - we were joined by our daughters and small grandchildren. Thank you Jim we appreciate your responsiveness and gracious, welcoming hospitality.

Beautiful, spacious, well thought out, renovated home. Truly has everything you need and in a great location. We were 5 adults and a teenager and could not imagine a better place to relax for the holidays.

Rented this property for family to attend graduation of daughter. Beautiful property, well maintained, well supplied, convenient to New Haven. Plenty of space for family and Man cave basement (although we minimally used) provides great activity space. Would Highly recommend! Property manager took care of problems before we even knew they were problems.

We stayed Thanksgiving week to spend time with our daughter and some family. The house was perfect and so was the weather even though it was the end of November. Great sun and beautiful view. Spent quite a bit of time on the deck. The house itself was immaculate. The kitchen was one of the best equipped we have stayed at over the years. Everything we needed was provided and it was one of the best VRBO experiences we have had. In other words, it was perfect in every way!

Absolutely Amazing!
From the moment you enter the property, the decor paired with the stunning ocean views take your breath away. It was immaculately cleaned and fully stocked with every thing you could ever need to enjoy a fun and worry-free week away. The town of Madison was beyond charming, the people were warm and welcoming, and the neighborhood was pretty quiet when we visited the end of April. We will definitely be booking this property again. Jim was so kind and always a phone call away.

Beauty by the Sea
If there were six stars, this property would earn every one and then some. The beach house is absolutely lovely, beautifully restored and furnished--classic yet comfortable. The windows in almost every room look out on the shoreline--the sea views are spectacular. The interior is defined by open space, natural light, and calm seaside colors in a varied palette of neutrals, blues, and rose. The kitchen style, which is modern, open and highly functional, made our family meals a pleasure. The flow of rooms made it easy to spread out or curl up and relax in front of the living room’s gas log fire, which is a huge plus in the off-season. Beds are extremely comfortable, and the hosts have thought of every amenity. The town is quintessential New England with a great bookstore, coffee shops, and restaurants--all close by. Jim is an accommodating host, and makes sure that you feel at home in his home. This might just be our best VRBO find ever and we hope to return next spring.

Waterfront relaxation
The house was everything you could want and then some. What a wonderful place to relax with family and friends. The photos in the listing are spot on but you really can’t appreciate the home and all it has to offer until you’re inside. The property owner was very communicative and quick to reply to my questions.

Beautiful place with tons of room to spread out
We so enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home! Three generations of our family gathered for Christmas. The home was very clean, has a wonderful kitchen and updated bathrooms, and lovely access to the beach for walks (we would love to come back in the summer). The beds were very comfortable and the whole home is decorated with beautiful but cozy furnishings. The owner was easy to communicate with and a great host. This was a perfect stay for our family!

Great location, great host
This house is amazing. Right on the beach, all beds and bathrooms are really nice. Kitchen has everything you need (although we did a lot of takeout because local restaurants are fantastic.) We used the grill one time which worked perfectly (love the gas line piped in!). The decor in the house makes it special. Jim was easy to contact with questions. We will definitely come back.

House is close to perfect. It is beautifully appointed, has a wonderful location and is plenty spacious for groups. The newly finished basement TV/game room is a wonderful amenity for those rainy days or for folks who don't want to spend the day at the beach.
For very tall folks, the beds in the third floor bedrooms appear to be short, probably because of the footboards. Still, those bedrooms are charming and have spectacular views of the Sound.
The AC works very well, which is wonderful during CT's humid summers. The kitchen is nicely laid out for cooking and the appliances are top notch. The downstairs flow of rooms is excellent, with plenty of space for a large group to spread out.
The owners have pretty much thought of everything to insure a delightful beach vacation.

Madison-2 week stay
Jim was fabulous throughout the transaction and stay. The home was spotless and the decor meticulously beautiful but comfortable. The neighborhood is charming and having access to the private beach was the icing on the cake. We absolutely rent from Jim again.

Fall Family Getaway
Everything you’d want in a vacation property — easy access to the beach, lots of places to read, relax, work, study, play while meeting everyone’s needs to be together or separate during the day. Great kitchen, fully supplied, and so the foodies enjoyed cooking together while the kids toggled between the game room downstairs and the beach. All of the amenities and decorations were well chosen and maintained — perfect mix of “homey” and “luxurious.” We were seven — could’ve easily accommodated more. Loved it.

Magical Place
Every year it gets better and better. There is nothing missing in this beautiful home, from the morning sunrise to the evening sunset the views are spectacular. Your own private beach just across the street is steps away. The rooms are lovely and the beds are all comfortable. The owner thinks of everything to make your stay a true vacation. We all hope to come back again.

We have NEVER stayed in a property that was as well appointed, as well taken care of, as beautiful, or as spectacularly located as this property! (The opinion of (3) retired couples with a lot of experience!) Congratulations to the Owner - the listing does not begin to describe the beauty of this place nor how your every need is considered and provided for. No one who rents this property will be less than delighted.

The best shore rental I have every stayed at
The house was cleaning, beautifully furnished and well maintained. The location was perfect and the owner was attentive. Just a pleasure to rent from. We rented for 3 weeks and are going back next summer. If your thinking about renting dont hesitate this house books up fast

"Taste of Heaven"
I rented this property in 2018 and was anxious to return with my siblings and their families from five different states. We were totally overwhelmed to find it totally refurbished with all new furniture, window treatments, rugs and everything beautiful. It was stunning! This home offers everything you need and I mean everything. You get cut it has a medical treatment kit, you want to cook a turkey dinner, they have all the necessary pots, dishes and spices. I know I will not find a better place. I say this with a sad heart because I always rent this week and the owner has already rented it for next year.

Such a beautiful home! Honestly, the home is updated and beautiful, each room more inviting than the next. Great views of the sound and up high enough from the street that you don’t even notice it. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Madison as a group of friends or family.
