We loved staying at the Villa! It was a great location and so much room to spread out. Very comfortable beds and nice air conditioning. Our 2 1/2 year old grandson really loved the pool! Would love to come back someday!

From the very beginning, the house took our breath away! The ocean views were amazing! The location of the house was perfect as we were close to the north side; but not that close so we did have quite nights and that was important to us as we had 3 kids under 5. We walked pretty much everywhere so the location was great. The house itself was well maintained, clean, very well organized and very spacious. The cleaning lady was super nice and came every day with such a great attitude/energy.
We stayed in some days as the weather wasn't the best during our stay (super windy and cold); but we made the best of it. The owner came to introduce himself and offer any help/advice if needed. He was very nice!
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The house was packed with all we needed to make breakfast every morning, had beach towels, and even sand toys for the kids!
We would definitely rent it again.

Went on a girls trip to Isla and stayed at this fantastic villa! The villa is beautiful with plenty of room for everyone. Great views of the ocean with a gorgeous infinity pool overlooking the water. Close to town so walking distance to tons of restaurants. The house manager was great and quickly responded to any request. Gordon, the host, could not have been better. So nice and friendly and tons of help with referrals, hot spots, booking adventures, etc.
We will definitely book here again! LOVED IT!

Gordon was an amazing host and checked in with us many times to make sure we were above satisfied. You cannot beat the property, the location and the amazing view. 8 friends which included 3 recently retired teachers thoroughly enjoyed our 1 week stay Jan 15-22! Check in and communication with Stacy was seamless thanks to WhatsApp. Although the 2 back bedrooms are small, the generous common spaces allowed plenty of room to relax. The pool was on the cool side for the first day or 2 but great in the afternoon after a day exploring or snorkeling. We were obvious to the no toilet paper down the toilet on the entire Island so that took some getting used to:( In summary the Villa Amistads proximity to Playa Norte, Centro, Ferry Dock, downtown and on the malecon adjacent to the blue Caribbean was perfect!

There was a total of five of us that stayed and it was great. Before arriving communication with owner and property manager was above expectations. Received an in-depth email describing transportation to island, location of property and list of restaurants.
It is a short walk from the ferry, so if you wish to walk, very accessible.
Property was as described and was great for us. Fantastic view of ocean and enjoyed the sound of waves coming into shoreline. Property is well maintained and has as a great vibe.
Walking distance to beaches, restaurants and bars. We rented a golf cart one day and easy parking in front of Villa.
If we had it to do over, we would have spent maybe one night in Cancun and spent the rest of our time at Villa Amistad on Isla Mujeres.

We were surprised and delighted to find out that we booked our stay during Mexico Independence Day. We were treated to fireworks on the roof top of Villa Amistad. The villa is so beautiful and comfortable. I haven’t slept this well in a long time. It was refreshing to be on the windward side of the island. We used the pool everyday. We had everything we needed and wanted for nothing. They even had much the needed aloe in the fridge. We will definitely come back. This will go down in history as one of my very best vacations.

We have been traveling to Isla Mujeres for over 10 years and have stayed in several of properties over the years. Villa Amistead was the pinnacle of all those experiences. We were very comfortable and couldn't be happier about the location-walking distance to town and several delicious restaurants. Beautiful views from every level of the house-I loved watching the sunrise each morning while drinking my coffee. Our children loved the pool and swam in it daily during our stay. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Hosts are superb! Great communication and very helpful when needed. Everything was as advertised and we can’t wait to stay here again.

Great condo
Great condo. My family of 10 rented both sides of this condo for our vacation this year. The condo is exactly like it is listed. Having a washer and dryer was very handy. The daily housekeeping was an added bonus. The air conditioning units in each room cool down each room very fast. We spent tons of time in the pool which has an amazing view of the ocean. The location is close to downtown. The house is nice and quiet and feels very safe. Check-in was a breeze in communication with the owner was amazing. The house is very clean and my bed was very comfortable. We all enjoyed our stay and will be back soon!

Great house and location
We really enjoyed staying in Villa Amistad. The views from all floors out to the Caribbean were gorgeous. It was a great central location with nice walkability to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The shared pool was a nice amenity. We really enjoyed hanging out on the rooftop palapa, both day and night. Plenty of room for 2 families. Stacy, the property manager was very responsive to any communications both before our stay or when a few minor issues arose. She was also accommodating with groceries and gave us great recommendations. Gordon, the owner greeted us at the front door and even had a cold shot of tequila waiting for us. We will definitely stay there again.

Great stay - listings details are spot on
Villa Amistad was the perfect spot for our two families. Great location that was easy walking distance to the downtown. We rented two carts for the week and travelled all over the island. We really enjoyed eating at restaurants on the south end of the island. Favorite bar was the Tiny Gecko which was a four minute walk down the Oceanside path accessed from the backyard. Ownership and management provided excellent communications and were just a text away if we needed anything. We wouldn’t hesitate the stay at Villa Amistad again.

Spacious Villa with a perfect location!
6 adults stayed in the villa. The location was perfect! It was easy to get around and just a few blocks from North Beach. Many restaurants and tons of shopping within walking distance. The pool was too cold to swim in during our time on the island but it would have been perfect during a warmer time of year. The house was very clean and our daily housekeeper Katia did a phenomenal job every single day. We were a little disappointed that there was no cable service even though we were under the impression that there was service before arriving. Lastly, as several couples traveling together we also would have liked to have a tv in each room to watch at night after we went to bed. The villa owners are super nice and very helpful. I had to reach out to them during our stay and they went above and beyond to help us with our issue (which was unrelated to our rental). Thanks for sharing your home with us!

Villa Amistad exceeded out expectations! The view is amazing--waking to a sunrise on the water was incredible. The house was clean, comfortable and the check-in process was easy (thanks, Stacy!) If you’ve ever been to Isla you know that it isn’t always the cleanest. This house is BEAUTIFUL and on such a good area of the island! All of our favorite things to do are on the North side so this house was perfectly located. The property manager was always a text away and made sure that our stay was great. We met the owner while we were there and he was very friendly and welcoming. The house is clean and very nice. When the locals asked us where we were staying and we told them, their jaws dropped and said very nice. The house cools quickly. The freezer tequila and beer ready for us was a great touch. We will definitely be back!

25th anniversary trip
We stayed at Villa Amistad for a week in June, my husband and I, with three of our adult children who each brought one guest. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom, the beds were very comfortable and everything was well equipped. We loved having a kitchen and dining room we cooked breakfast a couple days and cooed the fish we caught when we went fishing Monday. The pool in the backyard is wonderful to refresh, there are six beach loungers out in the back if I recall correctly plus some chairs and a table up on the patio area. Have any ability to open the sliding doors all the way for it to seem like a seamless transition into the outside was wonderful. The upstairs rooftop patio area was well used and well loved. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to friends and family, and I would stay here again with a large group. We only rented the south villa, which has four bedrooms and four baths but I think you can also rent the North Villa which has three bedrooms and three baths. The location cannot be beat, there are steps down to the Malecon, you are less than six minute walk to Hildago Street, less than 10 minute walk to Playa Norte, and about a seven minute walk to the ferry terminal. Thank you for helping to make our anniversary trip wonderful!

AMAZING experience!
We ended up staying at this beautiful house after a horrible experience with a resort. The owner called me personally to help me arrange our last minute stay, and then the property manager Stacy took over. She was SO incredibly sweet and wonderful. She even helped us find a doctor when my youngest got sick. Plenty of space for the whole family (or a couple families) and the views are INSANE! Close to the beautiful beach & nightlife, but just far enough to feel like you're in your own little world. We just loved it here so if you're thinking about booking, just do it!!

This property is wonderful! We had a total of 8 staying here, including children. Amazing views, beautiful home, pool overlooking the ocean, and lots of places to walk too. We also rented golf carts to get around the island. Highly recommend - we will definitely be back!

Nice Villa in a great location
We were generally pleased with the villa and found the listing matched to be an accurate depiction. The location was a very short walk from the ferry and to many restaurants and shopping. There’s a nice walk along the sea wall behind the property that was easily accessed through a locked gate at the back of the property. We enjoyed a few evening strolls on that walk during our stay. We also rented a golf cart during our stay so that we could easily travel around the island. Our only complaint is that the pool had mild algae issues when we arrived and it got worse during our stay so we avoided it. The pool did get cleaned the day before we left but I suspect the algae issue will return very quickly without proper algae treatment.

Fantastic property will views that the pictures simply do not capture! we where unfortunately visiting when the COVID-19 really started to hit and we had to leave 3 days early of our 10 day trip. The owners have been very accommodating in working with us as to how we will handle a refund or credit us free dates in the future. That really has meant a lot to us. We thought the map of the island was a bit misleading, the map shows that North beach is quite a ways away and in fact we walked it almost daily bc it really was rather close. I certainly recommend this property, its just great!

I honestly think this is the best property on the island for the money.
We had everything we needed and more: sun, sand, friendly locals, great location, excellent restaurants, infinity pool, oceanfront views... I could go on and on.
The owners and property manager were beyond nice, realistic, and accommodating.
For the travelers that worry about traveling in Mexico... they need not. We traveled in a group of six, none of which spoke Spanish... nobody got sick, separated, or had anything worse than a sunburn to deal with. We had a great time, never wanted to leave, and seriously are considering ways to retire on this island.

Amazing Home and a wonderful stay
We have stayed on the island a few times before and this was the best experience we have had. The house was just on the south end of downtown, which was perfect. Close to walk anywhere, but just far enough away not to be in the thick of things. The home was a perfect size. Everyone had their own room and could get away, but the living room and kitchen was a perfect meeting place. The pool overlooking the ocean was especially nice. We spent a lot of time in that pool! Property manager VERY attentive. We had a minor issue with no hot water (things happen!) I called Stacy and the next morning it was fixed. She greeted us when we arrived, gave us the low down on the house, answered many questions we had about things to do and see and was very helpful. Some in our group did daily yoga on the rooftop deck while the sun came up and said it was amazing.
Playa Norte is probably one of the prettiest beach I have been to. I would recommend going to a beach club. You can rent an umbrella and have a waiter bring you pina coladas all day. The restaurant selection is amazing too. We rented a golf cart for a few days to explore the island. Get to the south end of the island if you can, the views from the cliffs are breathtaking.
All in all we had a fabulous stay at the house. From my first point of contact with Erin to when we were checking out, everything was so smooth. I even received my deposit back 2 days after we returned. We will definitely be visiting again!

Outstanding Stay on Isla Mujeres
Villa Amistad is simply outstanding! With its matching master suites looking directly at the gorgeous Caribbean, the sound of the ocean is there to lull you to sleep. Pool time? Again, nearly hanging over the ocean, you may not want to leave to enjoy the magical Isla Mujeres even with North Beach beckoning about a 10 minute walk away. This property is wonderfully comfortable and the host very responsive. We will be back!

We have stayed on the island many times and this home is one of the best. Location is perfect. The view is fabulous. We loved being in the pool and hearing the ocean. The kitchen was well stocked with basic spices and oils. Great place to stay with a large group or family.

Loved being in the pool watching the waves - almost didn't make it to the beach! Paradise Awaits
This place is breath taking! Million Dollar Views. Location Location Location is perfect. Short walk to to all amenities. Restaurants, bars, shopping .... you name it, it's there.
The place is in town but is surprisingly quiet. Just the sound of the waves as you drift off to sleep in the comfortable beds. Quality linens and clean....very clean. Have a nice private dip in the pool before dinner. Shower with your own personal view of the ocean. A must see to believe.

Perfect Week!
Third time to the Island and our stay at Villa Amistad was GREAT!!! From initial connection with Erin for booking, to arrival walk around with Stacy (including complimentary bottle of Tequila and 6 pack to get the week started right) to the daily maid service, to the ridiculous view! We could not have asked for more. We were in the 4 bedroom side and it was a great fit for our 4 couples. Pool was warm and clean, staff was friendly and house was just the right distance from town. (No offensive noise pollution, but close enough to walk into town for every meal). No regrets! We will definitely be back to the house and stay with Erin and Stacy's team. They run a GREAT operation! Paradise!!
If you're looking for a property with a view, you've come to the right listing! From the second I walked in the door I was engulfed in the beauty of the water and crashing waves. Every floor of this property provides incredible views of Caribbean, each unique and stunning in its own way (even the shower has a view!). The living space is an open concept with a large living room/dining room/kitchen combo - really nice if you have a group. At night, even with the windows and doors closed, I could faintly hear the sound of crashing waves from my room...which rocked me to sleep like a baby (in the comfort of A/C). A few nights I left the blinds open so that I'd wake to the sunrise, which is a must see if you stay - gorgeous! The pool in the background really makes this property perfect. I enjoyed standing in the pool with the waves crashing next to me, quite the experience. It was VERY easy to find the property once you depart the ferry; check in at the property was a breeze. There were plenty of towels (including some beach towels), the beds were comfortable (a little hard, but similar to other properties I've stayed at in Mexico) and the kitchen was large (with drinking water provided) and very convenient to have with grocery stores nearby. There are stairs up to the house, and the master is on the second floor, so it's something to consider if stairs are an issue. The Wifi worked great (better than what I have at home). The hosts have a fun scavenger hunt of places to see on the island, which I found to be a great way to get to know Isla! Most places are within walking distance (the main restaurant 'strip' is a 5-10 minute walk and North Beach is 10-15 minute walk). I'd suggest renting a golf cart or take a taxi to explore other parts of the island that are not within walking distance. The hosts respond timely and offer great suggestions if you ask. I'll definitely be back!!
