The cabin is in a beautiful location with a million dollar view IF they would trim the bushes that have grown over the window. Oh how tempted I was to get some pruners! It rained off and on all for 3 of the 4 days we were there so we spent alot of time indoors. It's a shame that we couldn't enjoy the view of the lake.
I'm not 100% sure that the cabin had been cleaned before we arrived. The bathroom was skipped for sure. Whiskers in the sink and used dental floss on the trash basket. I did a quick clean myself so that we could be comfortable but for the price we paid this shouldn't have been necessary.
Overall the cabin is a nice option if you aren't looking for fancy. It's simple and we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the lake and surrounding nature.
I'd be so happy to see the owners put in a little effort to spruce it up a bit and for the love of all that is holy, TRIM THOSE BUSHES!!! You've got a million dollar view there if you'd just do that one thing.

The propert was great. The view was beautiful but no one told us about the blue algae. We are water people, love to swim but we had to travel somewhere else for that.

2 things stand out -- the lakeside view and quiet area and the super-comfy king sized bed. Both these made the stay worthwhile.

Property located in a lovely spot. The cabin is quite comfortable though a bit dark and dated. Great shower (water pressure excellent & instant hot water). Absolutely hated the polyester "microfiber" bedding; it's like trying to sleep in a plastic bag, extremely unpleasant.

We stayed in cabin 1 and it was beautiful. They prvided everything you need for summer or winter and it was just a relaxing and quiet weekend. The owners were really helpful and responsive when needed. Would definitely go again next year.

The cabin had everything we needed. The host and hostess were delightful people and generously took us out on their boat. We were thrilled to see a bald eagle and a sandhill crane in addition to lots of beautiful scenery

Small cabin in a great location. Cabin was clean and comfortable (cold nights required using the wood stove which worked just fine). Location is very nice with lake view and nearby activities. I would certainly stay here again.

A beautiful cabin on a property with a historic lodge, view of the lake, and the nicest, most supportive owners imaginable! We would come back here in a heartbeat!

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights as part of a 2- month journey from Alaska home to Virginia. This whole area is idyllic with beautiful lakes and mountains. The historic cabin had everything we needed - super comfy bed, high speed internet, kitchen appliances/dishes, etc. Communication with the host was easy. The listing description is very accurate and informative, but do be aware the map does not point to the correct location - this is not in Klamath Falls the town, but in the Rocky Point area. We loved the Rocky Point area. We cooked most meals in, but ventured out to some of the area resorts as well. Easy driving distance to beautiful places such as Crater Lake & Lava Beds National Monument . Highly recommend this place!

Kayaker's and birder's paradise.
I've stayed at Point Comfort Cabin#1 at least eight times and I love it! This is a wonderful cabin with a gorgeous view of Upper Klamath Lake and everything you would ever need for a fantastic vacation. The lake is about 40 yards from the cabin and we can leave our kayaks down by the water. We were lucky enough to have the owner staying next door this time and he and his wife could not have done more for us. I hope to keep going back to Point Comfort every year in late May for as long as I am able.

Beautiful rustic cabin
Loved the homey feel of this cabin. Had all the amenities I needed plus a wonderful wood stove fireplace for the cold nights. Million dollar views of the sunrise every morning.

Cozy, calm, and quiet
We loved the cabin & the surrounding property. We all felt an immediate joy upon arrival. The full moon casting sparkling light on the water the first night was almost magical. It was fun imagining all the people who visited the main lodge since the early 1900’s.

Beautiful Location
Location is ideal. View of lake and surrounded by green.
Relatively quiet and comfortable. Manager was visible and available to help troubleshoot some minor blips. My rating is a four rather than a five because of cleanliness. Bed in smaller room was unkempt. Makeup smudges on bathroom shelf. Kitchen need deeper cleaning and it seemed no one had vacuumed. Also half the fans in cottage did not work. However, the beds were comfortable and the shower is great.

Down time
If you want a quick quite getaway, this is the place. Cottage is quaint and simple. It is outdated but clean and has great views of the water. We were the only ones in the entire lodge which was abit disconcerting but we tried not to let it bother us (think the wildfires drove people away). The owner was quick to respond to our questions and easy to communicate. One big plus, not too far from Crater Lake.

2 night stay
Overall this was a good property in terms of location and communication with the owner. It is an older cottage, so we did not expect luxury, but it was dirty, and there was an ant infestation. We could not open windows due to the fact that the screens were broken, and of the three fans available only one was functional. No basic amenities such as hand and dishwashing soap were available. I have spoken to the owner, and he seemed responsive to our concerns. I would be sure to speak to him before renting this in the future.

Nice
Overall the stay was nice. The place as fairly clean, what you would expect from a small cottage in the woods. I don't like to just be negative so I will give my cons and than the pros. My only comments are there were lots of bugs inside the home. I think this place would benefit from a deep cleaning and some ant spray around the outside of the property. It would help to keep the bugs out and present a more cleaner environment inside. Also, the shower needs some attention as it backs up if you are in there for more than 5mins. The pros were the views were great, the kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies and the outdoor things like grill, horseshoes, dock, and view were spectacular. I would have wished we could have swam in the lake, but anyone going should know that its filled with green algae and probably not the best place in the area to take a dip. Overall we enjoyed our stay, check in was easy and had a great time with activities in the area.
Regards,
Alfonso

Beautiful Location
Property was at a beautiful location. Unfortunately the housekeeper never showed up before our stay and the cabin was dirty. Not necessarily the owners fault, but we were told it's happened before. But other than that, the location was amazing and overall the cabin was quaint and cute.

Calm, serene cabin next to water
This is a sweet cabin that met my needs. I loved being out of the desert heat. It was a calm restful visit. Beautiful lake with a lot of fishing opportunities. I would stay here again.

Comfortable stay
I would have to say that the property owner, the cleaning crew, and the other guests made us stay enjoyable. The owner was quite responsive to all communications before and during my stay. The cleaning staff went above and beyond to ensure that I had their contact information if there was anything I needed. She works long hours and checked in with us frequently. This is a comfortable and quiet place. Everyone was quite friendly and guests clearly returned regularly.

We're kayakers and the cabin has lakeside access. Wildlife on the Upper Klamath Lake is amazing.

Wonderful location, could use some love
This is a wonderful location. Great views & access to the lake is perfect! The bed really needs to be replaced, if planning on cooking bring knives, and expect a rustic experience - may need to wash dishes & deal with cobwebs & presence of insects. Love this location (second visit but different cabin), however a little bit of love & details would have elevated the stay.

Bill was very accommodating throughout the renting process. It was a cozy cabin on a cool weekend and we really enjoyed having a wood stove. We stayed comfortably warm. Beautiful lake front setting where you can walk down to the lake and see the geese and ducks. Kitchen was well stocked. Nice open floor plan, with plenty of space. We had a great weekend!!

Tranquility Plus
Before we booked Cabin 1 we checked different reviews, some critical but most were very positive. It was nice and clean and although it was built in 1912 I believe there have been upgrades and it is very cozy and peaceful. The setting is right next to the water with nice landscaping. We were lucky to have caught the moonrise across the lake and got some great pictures with the reflection crossing the lake. Almost everything that you need is provided in the kitchen and there's even a triple dispenser in the shower for your soaps. Firewood was provided for the nice wood stove.., We found it so very quiet and peaceful. Bill was very helpful and we enjoyed our 3 day stay immensely.

Nice little getaway
Nice and convenient cabin getaway. Overall stay was comfortable. Furniture and such was a little worn and dated but functional. The mini kitchen had the basics but not a great place to cook. Use the shared gas grill if you plan on doing anything nice.
Some of the dishes were put away dirty and the coffee maker was a mess. Definitely had been miss used. But they provided a brand new sponge and everything cleaned up easily. Whoever cleans the cabins should probably clean the ceilings though. They were pretty bad with old moisture spots.
Overall pleased with the stay and would return.

Awesome Place
Nice spot right on Klamath Lake. Our only complaints were that the lighter for the fireplace didn't work (no biggie) and the shower is definetely touchy with temperature and pressure (but not what we were there for). However, the views and proximity to Crater Lake outweigh the slight negative. We would love to come back in the summer!
Thank you!
