La maison principale de Quinta Ixchel est situé sur la même propriété à côté de la Villa. Mon père reste à la maison principale pendant certaines périodes de l'hiver, mais est rarement à la maison. Ce sont des gens merveilleux qui vous ne verriez quand ils sont le nettoyage de la piscine, ratisser la plage ou arroser les plantes.

I have traveled extensively around the world, but my recent stay at this private villa truly set a new standard for hospitality. From the moment I arrived, Poli and his wife went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my stay was exceptional. Their warmth and attentiveness were unparalleled, making me feel more like a cherished guest than just another traveler.
Poli provided fantastic recommendations for local restaurants, each one better than the last, and even organized memorable fishing trips that added a unique adventure to my vacation. One of the highlights was when Poli's wife prepared the fish we caught, turning our catch into a delicious meal that I will never forget.
The villa itself was immaculate, with a fresh atmosphere and an air conditioning system that kept the space cool and comfortable. The pool was pristine & inviting, while the beach area felt like a mini paradise, perfect for relaxing and soaking up the sun.
I cannot recommend this place enough! For anyone considering a stay, I highly suggest renting a golf cart for easy transportation around the area. It truly enhances the experience and allows for more exploration.
Overall, this villa is a hidden gem, and the level of hospitality provided by Katy, Poli and his wife is something I will carry with me on all my future travels. Don’t miss out on this incredible experience!

Everything about our stay thanks to our host. Katy was amazing. The beautiful, private, elegant master bedroom suite with private pool and beach could not have been more perfect. Enjoying the sunset, dinner overlooking the ocean in our private cabana and tooling around the island in our golf cart was a blast. we’d come back in a heartbeat. In fact we’re thinking about our next stay. it’s a 10 out of 10. And I’ve never given a rating like that before, and we have literally been all over the world.

If possible, we would give this 10 stars!!! This place is even better in person!! Absolutely worth every penny for location, beauty, privacy and was the most relaxing vacation we’ve had in years. Katy was absolutely wonderful to work with and so informative from the time of booking to the end of our stay. Poli and Gladys- the caretakers of the property were absolute gems!! You can tell they love and care for this place with their whole hearts and were the warmest, most lovely people. 1000% will be back again.

Pictures are amazing but in real life, it was even better!! Will not stay anywhere else in the island moving forward. Gorgeous pool, exclusive beach access, and a comfy bed. What more could one ask for? Poli had our golf cart waiting for us when we arrived and it has easy access to many wonderful restaurants. Love that it’s away from the hustle and bustle of the north end, yet a quick golf cart ride should we decide to shop, etc.

Katy and David provided an excellent property and were excellent hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on Isla Mujeres. The palapa was a wonderful spot to enjoy the scene out of the sun. This property is amazing!!! David and his staff are great. The pool and private beach vibe was a 10 out of 10. Ended up extending the stay for an extra 2 nights sense it was perfect. Small restaurant just across the street that served good drinks and food. Will definitely be back.

My girlfriend and I spent six amazing days at the Villa where everything was immaculate and where you will find anything you may need to prepare your own meals, accessories for the swimming pool, even a couple of kayaks.
I have to mention Gladys will be happy to amaze you with her cooking for a very reasonable fee. This place has it all, I highly recommend it.

LOVED it so much! If we could give it ten stars, we would! The location is away from the busy downtown area and is very quiet. Katy had a golf cart waiting for us so we could easily get around.

We love this end of the island. The property is close to some of the best beach clubs and restaurants, but far enough away from the chaos of the north end.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this property. We loved the privacy of it, and the easy access to the beach. The Villa was nice and clean. The maids did a great job with their extra special touches. The property itself is very well kept up and taken care of. We really enjoyed talking to Poli the caretaker. He was very attentive, getting us taxis when we needed them and showing us around as well as telling us about great places to eat. He also got our golf cart for us when we wanted to go in town to look around. It was very easy to get around the island by taxi or golf cart. Katy was very responsive to my emails and helpful. It was a nice wonderful, relaxing trip and we will be back! P.S. There are a lot of great places to eat on the island!!:)

As others have stated, this is honestly a slice of heaven. We spent a week enjoying the peace and tranquility that is Quinta Ixchel. Photographs are one thing, but to experience its beauty is on another level indeed.
The excellent communication (email/text) from Katy and Dave outline everything one needs to know regarding the logistics for staying at the villa.
If you are there for a stay longer than a weekend, make sure to talk to Poli, the grounds keeper, and rent a golf cart for transportation. Cabs (taxi's are red there), can easily be caught on the street in front of the villa, but the convenience of the cart trumps them.

Dave & Katy, thank you so much for making our stay at the villa so enjoyable. Our stay at Quinta Ixchel was everything that we could've hoped for, for our 25th wedding anniversary. Sixteen days went by so fast and didn't seem nearly long enough, but every day was magical. We've only been gone two days and we miss it already.
The listing was exactly as described and even better. Dave and Katy are excellent hosts; genuine and very personable. We felt so welcome the moment we arrived. The villa had everything that we could possibly require. The bed was extremely comfortable, the maid service was exceptional, and the private garden area, pool and beach were impeccable. Poli the groundskeeper and Gladys his wife were very friendly and sociable. We thoroughly enjoyed interacting with them and will definitely be taking Gladys up on her offer to cook for us; the next time we stay. We gave Katy our grocery list, and our groceries were waiting for us in the villa upon arrival, which was a blessing since we arrived so late.

This was our first time visiting Isla Mujeres and staying in the Sac Bajo area of the island was just what we needed. The private villa, pool and beach was second to none and this was by far, the most relaxing, enjoyable holiday for us as a couple. I would highly recommend renting a golf cart which allows you the freedom and opportunity to sight see on your own schedule. You can do as much or as little as you like. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

My wife and I came here for our honeymoon. This place was amazing! Katy was great. Very communicative and provided excellent recommendations on where to go eat. Poli the caretaker and Gladys his wife were very helpful in letting us know where we could go to catch the bus or rent golf carts. If you ask Gladys she’ll cook a delicious meal for you to enjoy under the private palapa. I think it cost us $35 and it was one of the best meals we had the whole trip. The place is just as pictured. Comfy room, comfy bed, huge private pool, and the best part your own private little beach. It is in Sac Bajo which is a quieter, calmer part of the island which was perfect for us. Really an incredible trip. I recommend for any couples trip. We will definitely be going back!

We spent five days at Villa at Quinta Ixchel. The Villa was in the best location with its own private pool and private beach. It was very quiet, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The only thing we missed was not seeing the sea turtles lay their eggs at night on the beach at the Villa... which was our fault for not staying up late to check on them. We did see the hole they dug and their tracks in the morning! I would highly recommend this property and it is great for a couple! We had a great time!

My husband and I had a fantastic stay at Villa Quinta Ixchel. The private beach is exactly as pictured, so picturesque and perfect! Katy was very responsive and Dave gave us some of the best recommendations on the island. Poli and Gladys were wonderful and she is an outstanding cook!
My only complaint would be that the pool area isn’t exactly private. Dave lives in the adjacent property and he’s usually out on his patio, which is right by the pool. We couldn’t go from pool to beach in the evenings without passing Dave. He is an absolute delight and we enjoyed talking to him, but it wasn’t our idea of privacy. There are also cameras surrounding the pool and beach area. This is necessary for security, but it still made us feel like we were constantly under surveillance.

We visited Quinta Ixchel for our second anniversary, and to be brief, we would like to spend every anniversary here. We found the villa to have everything we needed. We even cooked several meals there in house. We also got out and had some amazing meals at restaurants the host(s) recommended. We found the bed to be extremely comfortable and the air conditioning was perfectly cool.
The private pool is amazing, the private cabana was fantastic, and the private beach was simply perfect for us. Poli and Gladys, the caretakers, were very friendly and accommodating. When we come back, we'll take Gladys up on her offer to make some meals for us. We've heard she's an amazing cook.
You couldn't ask for better hosts. Very friendly and very helpful! I don't want to give too glowing of a recommendation because I'm afraid it'll be booked the next time we try to go down there, but I can safely say that if you book here you will leave completely rested, rejuvenated, and completely happy with your decision to stay there.
