Sur la rive sud ensoleillée de Maui, se trouve le chalet romantique Honu’ea, où la vie paisible et paisible est un mode de vie. This was perfect for everything my wife and I wanted for our honeymoon stay in beautiful Maui. The owners have many accommodations on the property that we felt went above and beyond expectation. The short walk to the beach was perfect for sunset viewing, hanging with the turtles, and more! Shops, restaurants, etc., are all within walking distance from the property and super convenient. Can’t recommend this place enough!

We really enjoyed our stay. Its a great cottage with a really good loacation. The view off the lanai is hard to beat! You could walk to several places if you wanted to. The small kitchen with washer/dryer came in very handy during our stay. The cottage is very quiet and we usually had the beach to ourselves except for the occasional walker by. You will need water shoes because of all the coral but can walk out rather far into the water if you do. If you want a bigger beach then Kamaole Beach is just a short drive away. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we chose to stay in South Maui next time.

The comfort, view, and location of this cottage offered us the perfect vacation balance of relaxation and activity.
Wake up to a beautiful water view, take your coffee to the deck, and enjoy the tropical setting. Grab a cooler, towels, chairs, and umbrella (all provided) and a 2 minute walk will set you up on a beautiful, quiet beach. Great dining and shopping are minutes away. (A couple of favorites - Nalu’s, Maui Pie, and a little further away, Mama’s Fish House - not to be missed.) Driving from this location to other towns and sites was even easier than expected.
Our host was really on top of things - so kind, and always available.
The cottage itself is set up beautifully, and is just as shown online. Quite comfortable and providing amenities that anticipate your needs.
We look forward to returning sometime soon!

This breezy, private upper floor property was perfect for our 8 night stay. It is a cozy, spotless, well appointed one bedroom apartment with every amenity, including a BBQ & beach chairs. Located in a quiet walkable neighborhood, with direct beach access and wonderful views from the deck! Great airflow throughout the apartment as well, and fully screened so we barely used the available AC. This place is a gem. We are already planning our return!

It was incredible. The view and uniqueness of this cottage and property are superb. My husband and I had never in our lives been to the islands until this stay. (10 day stay). We knew we wanted a quiet, non-resort property and this was perfect! Everything you could need or want is just a few minutes away by car. We even walked to a near-by restaurant which was wonderful! Sitting on the deck watching and hearing the gentle ocean waves and many birds was surreal. It was truly a vacation to remember forever. I thank you so much for this beautiful private paradise!!

The cottage was a perfect place for my husband and I to relax and unwind, even watch whales from the lanai! It really looks just like it does in the photos, gorgeous ocean views and on a peaceful street yet walking distance to restaurants and food trucks. The place was very well equipped, even providing beach chairs for our use. We hope we can return again one day!

This place was so quiet and beautiful. Saw turtles everyday right on the beach out back and whales all the time. The place was clean and so fun to stay at. The little deck has such a great view! We were right in the mix of all the fun things to do in Kihei and walked most evenings just to enjoy. We will come back! Thank you for an amazing stay.

We visited for our honeymoon and had a great time. Great location with an awesome view. A minute walk to the beach. If you visit, make sure to check out the beach at night as we found over 10 large turtles resting on the beach for the night.
Bed was very comfortable. The place had plenty of space for two people.
Location was fabulous. You are minutes away from lots of shopping and restaurants. If you are visiting, make sure to check out the food trucks on Alahele Pl. The location is also very private and did not feel touristy at all.
The host was easy to communicate with and answered any questions quickly.

This was our first visit to Maui and this cottage was EXACTLY what we were looking for. Quiet, comfortable and tucked away. Bed was comfortable (for reference we sleep on a tempurpedic). I felt the cottage to be very neat and clean. Amber left a sweet little gift for us upon arrival. Also, had some cold waters in the fridge which we really appreciated because we arrived so late and didn’t have time to stop at the market. Views from the cottage were lovely. We walked the beach daily and took a dip a few of the days. Water is shallow but if you walk a little further down the beach you can find more swim-able depths. We saw turtles multiple days and even saw whales (ps we brought binoculars). Not sure why the other reviewer complained of the washer/ dryer. They worked well and weren’t especially noisy in my opinion. Plenty of glassware . We felt the couch to be comfortable for 2 people and enjoyed winding down with tv at night. This cottage created beautiful memories for us and we look forward to visiting again in the summer!

Beautiful views of the Maui sunset in a perfect location! Just a few steps to the beach where we watched the sea turtles make their way in and out of the sea every night. The cottage had everything we needed and was in walking distance of local stores and restaurants.

We had the best time. Amber is a great host and everything was perfect. Beautifully decorated, comfy bed, amazing view, and close to the beach. We saw over a dozen turtles on the beach the night before we left! The location is excellent for walks to dinner and easy access to everything there is to do in Maui. The view is 5 stars. Enjoyed the beach, seeing the turtles at night. Easy access to the beach from the yard. The studio was a 3.75. It was clean, no frills. The chair and sofa is not designed for relaxing and watching TV in the evening. Had leftover open condiments in the refrigerator, opened and unopened alcoholic beverages, and spices left by previous guests in the unit. Bathroom had no facial tissue, shampoo, grab bars. The bath rugs had no slip resistant backing. If you don’t rent a car you will miss a lot of the island to explore.

This was our 3rd trip to a Maui, and our absolute favorite, thanks to our stay in this wonderful cottage! The privacy, the views and sounds of the ocean from anywhere in the cottage were better than we had imagined. Turtles on the beach, whales breaching from the lanai - all amazing! The cottage was perfect, the bed was super comfortable. The amenities were great and the communication path to the property manager was flawless. Attentive, not disruptive. Overall we were on Cloud 10!

This property was the perfect rental for my husband and me. The view is gorgeous, a quick walk to the beach for a morning stroll, evening view of the sunset or simply lounging during the day. The house had everything you would need. We walked most mornings to breakfast and other shops are within a couple of blocks. We will definitely be back.

This cottage by the sea is definitely a lil getaway. Little improvement to be had but nothing major. Everything was great from check in to check out. The evenings of watching turtles come in at night was the highlight of our trip. I would recommend water shoes for the rocky beach out front but there are areas down the beach that aren’t as bad. The recommendations Amber gave for the beaches were spot on. Locations to shopping were great!

I mean, what more can you say about this place.. Perfect breezy little cottage, sea turtles every night, perfect sunsets and and waking up to blue sea views from the bed! My wife and I spent our honeymoon here and we couldn’t have asked for a better place! We traveled a lot over the island and our 9 day stay here started to feel like home! Good central location to all of the cities when you have a car. Until next time! :)

This Kihei cottage is something special! The highlight being the unobstructed ocean view and resident sea turtles beachside every night. Sunsets are amazing here! We’ve been to Maui many times and this is by far our favorite rental! We slept well and appreciated the beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler. So much privacy and easy access to walks on the beach. Easy check in and arrived to a very clean cottage. Highly recommend and hope to return on our next Maui visit!

Quiet, tranquil view, comfortable, and nightly sea turtles!
This cottage was absolutely perfect for us two—we loved it! The view across the lush, fragrant yard to the ocean was absolutely stunning and peaceful all times of day. Watching sunset on the lanai or bringing the provided folding chairs and ice chest to the beach in the mornings or evenings was easy and relaxing. Seeing the turtles come onto the beach right in front of the cottage each evening was so amazing—just spectacular and unforgettable. The inside of the cottage was light and airy and had everything we needed. Amber was a great host—very informative but non intrusive. We would definitely stay here again if we make it back to Maui.

Perfect cottage
My husband and I stayed here for 12 nights to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Everything was absolutely perfect and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay on Maui. The cottage was so comfortable with an amazing view, and we loved watching the turtles come onto the beach at night! There are several great restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance, and the location in Kihei is so central to everything on Maui. We had a couple of questions and Amber was so responsive and helpful. What a perfect getaway!

Favourite short rental that I have ever stayed in
I honestly can't say enough amazing things about this property. Everything about it is incredible. Super clean, amazing location, super private and quiet and the best part....every night at the front of the property the turtles come up to sleep on the beach. One night we counted 21 turtles. It was honestly magical.

Anniversary celebration
Very private, yet unfettered access to the beach, visually and walking. Look right out to the ocean from the comfortable foam top bed. Easy to regulate temperature. Nightly beached turtles were phenomenal. Fun watching Myna birds, geckos and chickens. Well appointed kitchen and beach gear. Ate many meals on the shaded porch. Favorite restaurant was Nalu's within easy walking distance.

Lovely cottage with Honus on the beach at dusk.
We loved our stay in the Honu’ea cottage. It was very peaceful and relaxing to see & listen to the waves from our lanai. The magical moments at dusk when the green sea turtles came up on beach to rest were beautiful.
Mahalo nui loa to Amber (property manager) for her attention and kindness to our needs. Would love to stay here again in winter to watch the whales ;-)

Perfect
We spent the last two weeks of vacation in this wonderful cottage. It was a perfect place to end our stay. The cottage is just as pictured; it had everything you may need , was spotless, and the view and beach access were marvelous. Every evening we watched the sunset and at dusk the turtles came in for the night. It was magical. We loved it!
