We loved everything, the house was very clean, well stocked,we cooked and bbq. We enjoyed the beautiful view from a large deck and easy access to the beach. Amazing views from living room, dining room and master bedroom. We give it a 5+ on everything and will be back this summer. Highly recommend it. Our stay was from February 23 thru 25th Aida

My family stayed in this charming house, and it was better than we hoped. We had everything we needed, plenty of space for four of us and convenient parking. The views from the deck were spectacular and the beach and harbor close enough to walk to. Very comfortable and clean and great place to make memories! The owner Tim was very responsive and made sure everything was in order. Highly recommend!

The house is a bit dated, and be aware that there is no AC…. But we came in the height of summer and it wasn’t a problem. But really, you’re renting this place for it’s location & that was perfection. Everyone in our party (ranged from 3 to 73) was able to get up and down the rock path which is steps from the front door! The owner was great to communicate with & we had an absolute blast! Parking in SC can be a nightmare and renting this place gave us 4 spots (2 in the back of the house and 2 we took at 6am when they were empty). Would definitely rent again!

We booked this place on the weekend my daughter was graduating from UCSC. Real cute cottage! Loved the view of the beach! Had everything we needed. Wished we could of stayed longer. Only issue was parking my Toyota Tundra - had to maneuver to fit in space - not a prob for mod size suvs . Thank you for a memorable stay!

I had a 4 year old with me and it was challenging walking across large and jagged boulders to get to the beach or the alternative is walking along the side of the road with busy traffic.

We stayed at this place last weekend. Wonderful location and the deck did not disappoint. Tim was a great host. Would recommend to anyone.

Our stay was just about perfect. The weather cooperated with rain only during our day of our departure. The gas fireplace is wonderful in the chilly weather. Beach access was a a little further than we expected but due to the storms this winter there was a lot of water so we couldn't walk down the closest trail to the cottage. The beds are all very cozy! Three bedrooms but no couch bed. TV s worked great, but I brought my fire stick anyways. Fully stocked with laundry and dishwashing detergent, fancy hand soap, sponges, toilet paper, paper towels even some spices. Could use a teapot to boil water but there are many different pots and pans. Bring your own beach towels. Outside on the side of the cottage there is a storage bend with beach chairs one umbrella and a couple boogie boards which are all in good shape. Beach boardwalk just down the street. Great vacation!

We stayed here for 5 days and loved it. It is very welcoming and has everything you need. We cooked a little and this place had all the essentials for coffee and even EVVO. The beds were super comfortable and we were able to do laundry and spend a lot of time with our family. CA had unprecedented storms and cold the entire time we were there, but we made use of the puzzles and games. The view was still great and we wish we could have spent any time on that wonderful porch.

A lot of traffic all day long and into the night. Not so much after 11PM.

Great location with easy access to Twin Lakes Beach! We had an amazing time - loved that we could come back from the beach, relax on the huge deck and continue to enjoy the views from sunrise to sunset. Also loved being so close to Seabright Beach, Santa Cruz Harbor, East Cliff Village, Pleasure Point, etc. We also appreciated the short distance to the Boardwalk, Pier/Wharf, West Cliff & Natural Bridges where we enjoyed additional fun activities and beautiful views! Tim was super communicative, pleasant to work with and fantastic with his follow-up through the entire process from booking to check-out. Thanks and we've already referred this property to family & friends! :)

Had a great short break as a family. The place is perfectly located, has a very well equipped kitchen and a great fron porch. The views of the beach and ocean are stunning. This all whst need for a Santa Cruz vacation

This vacation was just what we needed. The cottage beach house is adorable and cozy. I enjoyed the beautiful ocean view twin lakes beach view and doing my morning yoga on the deck. Some of the outlets are old and don’t work but it was no big deal. I’d stay here again for sure. The hosts were both helpful and friendly too.

We were looking for the perfect beachside house for a Santa Cruz holiday. Tim’s yellow cottage looked amazing online and it was even better in person! The deck that overlooks the beach was our main draw. But there is also a stunning view through the large window in the living room. We drank our coffee every morning on that couch looking out at the beautiful beach. The newly renovated kitchen was well stocked and allowed us to cook all our meals at the house. The back room was a bonus with a couch and tv perfect for the kids. Lots of stores and restaurants close by. Tim was marvelous. He was super communicative throughout the entire process. I could text or call anytime and he immediately responded. We had a minor maintenance issue when we arrived and Tim came immediately and fixed it right away and we had no further issues. We all loved our stay and will definitely come back.

Our family he a great time staying at the beach house! We would definitely go back. You are so close to the beach and can sit in the deck and watch and even hear the waves. We loved that we could be on the beach in under a minute. Great view of the pier and the boardwalk and the lighthouse!

We love this place and plan to come back as much as possible. The deck is magical and huge and a great place to hang out, especially if you have little ones who still nap and trap you at home. It's steps to the beach and you can order anything you need if you don't feel like leaving home. If you do, it's close to so many great things. The kitchen is fully outfitted if you feel like cooking. It also comes with a parking spot, which is key. A lovely family retreat.

This property was exceptional. Easy check in process. Simple checkout list. The views of the ocean from both inside and outside on huge deck were spectacular. Certainly a Mother’s Day to remember. Kitchen was fully stocked with every pot, utensil you might need.

Loved this spot. Right by the beach and pretty close to downtown. We had a cold week so it was nice to be able to go to the beach for a bit and then run back to warm up, all while still being able to enjoy the great view. We could also watch the kids play without feeling too nervous. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Check in was seamless. Couldn’t have asked for a better rental for our spring break. Can’t wait to come back—hopefully on a warmer weekend.

Wake up to a great view. Walk to the beach (slight degree of difficulty with a wagon). Twin Lakes beach is great for families to spend hours. Enjoy a great place. Kitchen nicely updated, and sleeping for the whole family comfortably. Eating breakfast and dinner on the patio with a fantastic view was icing on the cake.

My friend and I rented this property for a long getaway weekend. We loved it. The house is older but definitely well maintained. It’s a very cute house with breathtaking views of the ocean right from the back patio. The pictures are exactly the same as what you see in real life. And the property manager was very nice, accessible, and helpful. If I’m ever in Santa Cruz again, absolutely renting this lovely house again!

The location and deck of this property are spectacular, however the house and deck are a bit long in the tooth. The VRBO pictures must be many years old. Luckily I did a drive by a week before my stay and noticed old shabby wood table and bench on deck, no umbrella for the sun. I requested furniture on par with VRBO pictures, so owner did bring in nice patio furniture. Instructions would have been nice to get double burner flame to work right.Garbage disposal is missing rubber surround, so food shoots in your face or on the floor when use disposal and water spray. Safety issue for childrenExternal and internal paint chipping A LOTI have no problem paying for quality. I paid a premium at this property with nightly rates and service fees, so expected the place to look like shown on VRBO. This was not the case especially with the rodent issue. We waited to point out issues with cleaning crew on last day. Owner's brother, cleaner, seemed dismissive and more concerned about where we put the rat trap. Hope he did not put it back in the kitchen! Also said the stove was a classic and not so concerned about the filthy vent hood, probably also from 1940s.I would not stay again due to the high price and the CONS of this place.

Beautifully appointed with outstanding views of the beach (and sunsets), this was such a respite. Tim's home was so cozy and it was clear a lot of love went into it. Plenty of room for 5 adults to spread out. The kitchen was especially well stocked with everything you could ever need, and we enjoyed cooking meals together. The deck was unparalleled. We had a minor issue at the beginning of our stay, but Tim was very responsive and immediately addressed it. We can't wait to return and spend our days mesmerized by the ocean and truly at peace.
