Nous avons acheté cette unité parce que nous sommes tombés amoureux de la vue spectaculaire visible depuis ce condo spacieux en front de mer en angle avec une enveloppe autour de Lanai. Il n'y a pas de vue plus fine dans tout le Pacifique Sud avec plus de 200 degrés de panorama sur la plage de Kaanapali, la plus belle plage de Maui ainsi que des vues panoramiques sur Lanai, Molokai, la plage de Kaanapali et les montagnes de West Maui. Les fenêtres du sol au plafond offrent une vue imprenable sur l'océan depuis les chambres, le salon, la salle à manger et la cuisine entièrement rénovés. Trois téléviseurs HD à écran plat et une laveuse et une sécheuse internes offrent des options de vie pratiques. Les deux salles de bains ont été entièrement rénovées avec des carreaux du sol au plafond, des comptoirs en granit et des portes de douche en verre pluie. Les planchers de la cuisine, des entrées et du couloir ont été remplacés par des carreaux de céramique et un nouveau tapis a été installé dans le reste du condo.
Le Whaler a récemment terminé plus de 40 millions de dollars de rénovations et d'améliorations immobilières au cours des 5 dernières années et plus. La piscine chauffée face à l'océan a une nouvelle terrasse en pavé uni et un nouveau spa de 10 pieds de diamètre. Sur la propriété il y a une salle d'exercice entièrement équipée, un sauna, un centre d'affaires et des courts de tennis. La cour nouvellement repensée avec un nouvel étang de carpes koï plus grand est magnifique. Le garage couvert entre les tours a été rénové, y compris une nouvelle membrane étanche sur le toit. Les deux tours ont vu leur rampe remplacée et de nouveaux carreaux ont été appliqués sur les terrasses et les deux bâtiments ont été repeints. Une nouvelle allée plus large et plus élégante a été construite à la Porte Cochère où vous vous enregistrez. L'entrée de Kaanapali Parkway a été repensée.

Our 6 night stay was simply the BEST!
The Whaler is in the perfect location on Kaanapali Beach. The unit was pristine and plenty big enough for 4 adults. We had breakfast every morning on the large lanai overlooking the Pacific while planning our days adventure. Gordon was very nice to work with and answered any questions we had in a timely manner.
We will be back!

This unit was spacious, in great condition with comfortable furnishings, had an incredible view from the wrap-around balcony, and was located in a great area of Kaanapali beach. The owner provided very helpful information and was quite responsive to our questions. Highly recommend!

This is a very comfortable condo with beautiful views of the ocean and Black Rock. It has everything needed for either a short or extended stay. The owner was very easy to contact and made sure we had a wonderful stay. I would definitely rent this property again.

You can't beat the location of The Whaler. And the views from this penthouse are spectacular! The owner was so communicative - made it very easy to ask questions about the unit. It was very well appointed. We had a lovely stay!

Paid a TON of $ for 5 night for a hot box of a room. Got there and the air conditioner was not on. No biggy since we wanted to go to the beach anyway so we decided to turn it on so it would be cool when we got back. Got back and it was still hot. By this time it was late, we were all tired from the long flight, especially the kids and I can’t sleep in hot sweaty conditions. Maintenance came to fix (kinda) because it never got cold. It was juat bearable enough to sleep. Couldn’t enjoy the great views because if u opened the curtains it would get hot. Also, we decided to order in dinner one night and got steaks from Hulus next door. That’s when we discovered some of the utensils were dirty. Place was old looking. Had a Musty smell. I don’t understand all the good reviews this place had. The reviews are what made us pick this Place but our experience was WAY DIFFERENT than others. We stay at 5 star hotels all around the world and will be going that route after this stay. My sister and her family stayed at the Kaanapali Ali which is only 2 hotels down from where we were and I got to check out her place. She paid HALF of what I paid and the space was only a lil bit smaller than ours but her air condition was ice cold when on and they had a washer/dryer, a way nicer gym (me and my daughter used this gym) and up to date amenities, maid service w fresh linens and towels ect. After seeing our room she knew she hit the jackpot by getting more value for half the price.

This condo was absolutely perfect! We loved coming up for the day and being able to sit on the wrap around porch/deck and watch the sun go down. I don’t think there is a better location in Kaanapali!! It is wonderful to be on the top floor with unobstructed views from every room!
Each day, we would head to the beach. All of the amenities were there at the beach … umbrellas and chairs. One day, we rented snorkel gear and headed down to black rock.
In addition, being close to Whaler’s Village is great - especially with the young adults! They could go shop, grab a coffee or an açaí bowl when they wanted and the restaurants are excellent! Go to the Monkey Pod and order any drink with the lilikoi foam on top!! You won’t be sorry!

This is the best view on Kaanapali beach! It’s so iconic, there is even a fine art painting of the view in a gallery in Lahaina! Such a relaxing and lovely place for a stay on the beach, with beauty day and night; sunset, stars and moon over the water.

My husband and I were looking for an accessible home to take our 88 year old mother on a vacation. Gordon was amazing helping us think through whether his condo at the Whaler would work and even provided an adjustable shower stool for our mum to use. When we arrived, we found it was a PERFECT spot and she was immediately put at ease and was able to navigate the apartment easily. That made the whole vacation work. Beyond that, the incredible balcony, with its arresting views of the ocean and Kaanapali beach, the beautiful gardens and coy pond at the Whaler, and the incredibly kind and knowledgeable concierge on property offered such amazing support! Mum had coffee every morning on the balcony and was fascinated by the people watching and the catamarans running from the beachside. I cannot describe enough how perfect the location was for all we wanted to do on Maui and how lovely Gordon was communicating with us to make sure our mum was safe and well supported! Some previous reviews called out the "dated" furnishings but we found them delightful and they captured a feeling of Hawaii and a sense of our hosts that we appreciated! For future guests, the Whaler charges a $25 nightly "association amenities fee" charged on check out in addition to your VRBO rental fee. Gordon notes in contract- but be ready for that charge upon check out. Well worth it. Great value. Stunning location! Kind and caring host!

We have been planning to stay at this condo since 2020. It did not disappoint. The views from this Condo and it’s location to whalers village and the beach make it the perfect location. You’ll find plenty to see and do without a car. Did I mention the views? We were able to see dolphins and whale spouts from the balcony. From this condo you can see all of Kaanapali beach north of the Sheraton. If you love a room with a view like we do this is the place.

Gordon was nothing less than a pleasure to work with and extremely flexible. The accommodations are spectacular with a wonderful family feel and home like environment. The views are absolutely amazing.

Great communication with the property manager from booking and throughout the stay. We were in Maui during a big storm and Dr. Fall checked in on us to make sure we were ok. The Whaler is convenient to great shopping, eating and beach. A wonderful location and comfortable stay. Would definitely reserve it again!

Absolutely stunning penthouse property in the middle of one of the world’s premier beaches. Property was well appointed with all necessary and needed elements to feel right at home. The 180 degree views of the ocean and the mountains from the wrap-around 12th floor balcony is unparalleled. Great owner involvement and contact. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy the best that Maui has to offer, you will miss out if you don’t book this property. We did, we had a fantastic time, and we plan to go back!

We really loved this unit. When we arrived it was very clean and homey feeling. There were books and movies and some beach toys for us to use. Plenty of plates and cookware. Even some spices and condiments in the kitchen. It felt very welcoming. Plenty of towels and blankets. The view and location is absolutely perfect! The owner called us on the first night to see how we were which was a nice touch. The check in and parking was easy, hotel staff very friendly. The bed was comfortable and then place had plenty of drawers, hangers and areas for our things.

We’ve stayed at the Whaler many times and have never been so disappointed. The view is the very best - no doubt! However, the appliances were very old. The washing machine was carroded and had been painted over which really made it worse. The garbage disposal leaked and had to be replaced on our 2nd day. We killed a cockroach in the kitchen drawer on 2nd morning and when we called the owner he said “cockroaches are to be expected in the tropics” and said pest control does great regularly. We’ve never ever had a cockroach in any of the units in precious stays! If the kitchen was cleaner, I suspect this wouldn’t happen - we spent an hour cleaning drawers after that. The window blind facing West was inoperable in dining area. The owner did call us to inform us and just said to leave it open! The window faced the sun in afternoon and left the unit extremely hot until sundown. A repairman showed up 2-3 days before we left (we stayed for three weeks). The outlets on walls throughout the unit need to be replaced as they do not GRIP prongs from a plug! There were several we tried that were like that. We also called Mainenance for the A/C as it would randomly shut off and we would have to jiggle the sensor on the sliding door every 10 minutes. Also, the flush handle on the toilet in the master was very difficult to operate. We gimped by during our stay since we had already called maintenance three times for other issues. The unit is very “tired” with 1970’s wallpaper and mirrored walls and furniture with no support at all. Honestly for what this unit rents for, it should be MUCH nicer.

Location, Location, Location
As a family of 5 it's difficult to find a great place at a great location to fit us all. This condo was absolutely fantastic! The staff refers to it as the "Top of the World" and the views certainly backed that statement up.
The condo was very clean when we arrived. We also appreciated the fact that the unit has a washer/dryer.

Gordon's unit is a top floor unit beachfront unit with the most amazing views. The unit was very comfortable, thoug a little dated. We enjoyed our stay and you can't beat the location.

Amazing place and amazing view
We had a fantastic time here. The whaler is a great place, with really nice pool and hot tub, and easy access to the beach. This particular unit probably has the nicest view and largest balcony in the whole complex. We were able to look out an easily spot Whales from the balcony. The bedrooms and living rooms are spacious. The kitchen is well supplied. We wish we could have stayed longer!
