The house was in a gated area and location was perfect. Great places to eat nearby, just a golf cart ride away. The golf cart and bicycles came in very handy. The pool was awesome. The house was laid out nicely and was clean. The only faults I would say is that the house needs some long over due updates and the front bedroom doesn’t get cool. The outdoor space also need some updating.

The home is in a good location and we’ve always enjoyed our stays in this housing development (this was our third stay). We were met with some disappointment upon arrival to find there was no golf cart. After some calls (the staff were very responsive) we learned the previous renters wrecked it. The management company provided us with a loaner, but not until the next day and only after we had to complete lengthy paperwork (again). Overall the home is more outdated than the pictures present. The patio furniture was moldy and ill fitting. Inside furniture was also well past its prime, including beds and couches. The shower in the second master is almost to small for any adult to use and tiles in the master shower were cracked and broken. We still enjoyed our stay in Destin, but you may want to reconsider staying in this home.

Everything was overall really good. We loved the location! One thing that could have been a little cleaner was the bathrooms, around the showers outside was dirty, you could tell it’s never been scrubbed or cleaned well. Also, the kitchen by the counter chairs was rather dirty. You could also tell the floor/that area never gets a good clean. There was also mold in the 2 guests showers. Which was taken care of while we were there. Another suggestion I would give would be to have the golf cart & bike codes on a paper for guests to view when they get there. I had to call to get them as I couldn’t find them in my check in emails or anywhere. Maybe a piece of paper with the gate code, door code, golf cart code & bike codes on it would be a good idea. We really enjoyed staying there, loved the location & the beautiful community pool! :)

We normally stay in a condominium but this was the first time staying in a home. The home is in a great neighborhood and within golf cart or driving distance to the beach. The home was spacious, clean and had all the amenities needed for a five day trip. The owners golf cart was out of commission so we were able to have a 6 seater which was a nice touch. Management was friendly and check in very easy. Each couple had their own bathroom which was also a plus. Our only call out was the sliding glass door would stick and the child alarm would trigger quickly. I think it’s just from over use. Overall I’d recommend this home for couples or a small group of friends!

The check in process was easy and property manager got back to us quickly. But when we first arrived the pool was filthy, there was dirt all over the bottom and hair with hair ties wrapped around the ladder. The water was cloudy and we were not able to swim in it. We did contact the property manager and the next day the pool guy came and it was much better for the rest of the week. The sinks were not draining well in the bathrooms only to discover hair clogging the drains. There was water leaking between the kitchen and the laundry pantry/laundry room area which never resolved. But Destin is a beautiful area and the gated community was nice so in that regard it was a good week. The golf cart was not well maintained and filthy when we got there so we had to clean it before using. After the pool was clean it did make the stay much more enjoyable but the house was not as clean as we had hoped.

House was very clean and very spacious! HOA is very ruthless and will give you a ticket for just about anything they don’t like. 1/4 of my back tire was touching the grass and got a $50 ticket so just be careful.

Nice roomy living area, clean, very nice kitchen which is well stocked with dishes/cooking utensils/appliances; pool is small and close to highway but nice place to cool off. Nice neighborhood. There is no private beach access; golf cart is provided for about a 5 minute ride to public beaches which are quite crowded in summer and parking can be difficult if you don't go early. Strict 4 pm check-in on our check-in day.

Wonderful place
This experience was fantastic. It was our first time visiting Destin but it will not be our last. The property was well furnished and well maintained. Checking in was a breeze also. We thoroughly enjoyed and would happily stay here again in the future.

We had 3 families stay here for spring break. We did have an issue with some mold in one of the showers. Emailed maintenance late in the evening, first thing the next morning, they were knocking on the door ready to clean it. They were great about getting it taken care of quickly. This didn't bother us too much but it may for someone else. We never touched the thermostat, it stayed at 70 the entire time, but house never got cool, always stayed between 72-76 consistently. Like I said, it didn't bother us, so we never called maintenance. Overall, the house was excellent and we had a wonderful time. Would absolutely go back there again.

Cons: I had double checked to be sure the pool would be clean and paid $300 to have it heated. The pool co had not been there due to a storm but it wasn’t until Thursday that we felt heat and someone must have backwashed the pump. Quite disappointing. There was a broken recliner and end table, the gas was on in the grill when we arrived. The house needs quite a few small things fixed. Loved the house but not sure we’d choose to rent it again due to the needed upkeep. Again good customer service. Wonderful beach close by.

Wonderful stay!
We definitely enjoyed this house. Awesome to have all the things you need for the beach, management was great to work with and responded to anything we needed. We could not keep the pool clean due to open areas in the screens, a few tile to carpet transitions that were sharp, and would have been nice to have some olive oil or cooking spray or spices to use to cook with- but other then minor details we would absolutely stay here again. House is beautiful and neighborhood is so quiet and friendly

Great location - Property could use some fixes
For the pros, the check in process was a breeze. Very responsive management. Master and guest rooms were clean and kitchen had sufficient utensils etc. for cooking. Location of the property was great as well. Literally few mins away from James Lee beach. We enjoyed the club house, play park, and tennis courts. The house had a lot of extras like tennis rackets, beach stuff etc.
On the cons, the pool was not clean when we arrived. Pool flooring had couple of broken/chipped off areas that could be a hazard to kids jumping in. The covered net above and around the pool was torn at couple of places and we had lizards come in. Outdoor furniture needs new cushions as well. The guest bathroom ceilings had a lot of black damp spots (not sure what). The door to the pool area was almost broke and wouldn’t slide easy. We had to quit using the handle as we were afraid it would break. The golf cart is pretty beaten up as well. It’s break definitely needs immediate replacement.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and the proximity to beach and clubhouse but unfortunately the house could definitely use some fixes and upgrades.

My family of five and my parents stayed at the Destiny Splash. It was by far the best place I've ever stayed at. We didn't want to leave, it felt like home. There were plenty of kitchen utensils and sand toys. The nearest restaurant, Pepito's was the best Mexican food I've ever had. We kids enjoyed taking the golf cart out and I liked not having sand get in our car after the beach. The house is very clean and spacious. I am looking at booking it again for next year, although a year seems too long!

Girlfriends Retreat
The home is beautiful and in a great location; However, some TLC is needed for the patio furniture (need to replace all outdoor furniture) as well as cleaning of the furniture and accessories in the home (sofas, chairs, dining room chairs, bathroom rugs, etc)
My suggestion is to replace all furniture with leather or scotch guard protection.

We have been coming to Destiny East neighborhood for many years now. This was the worst experience we have had. Late Checkin despite booking almost a year in advance, the owners stayed at the rental prior to our arrival which they checked out late and left the trash cans completely overflowing. The rental has a land line phone for some reason and continues to ring off the hook with spammer calls. The back patio area is so disgusting. There is black soot everywhere coming from the roof, which house keeping and or the owners did not bother to clean. Literally massive piles of the stuff. we attempted to locate a broom on the property to clean this disgusting mess up and eventually used a piece of cardboard since the rental has no visible brooms. The patio furniture is falling apart and the cushions look like they should have been replaced 5yrs ago. the lanai was so damaged that we had to call maint in which they were supposed to schedule someone to come fix and never did. the rental felt like we were staying in a low budget shithole. chunks missing out of walls, fridge doors falling off, all of the furniture is stained and looks absolutely disgusting so bad that we were concerned about ruining our clothing setting on the furniture. None of the sliding glass doors lock appropriately which is a major security concern. The golf cart is on its last legs, the headlights are about as bright as a child's night light so an evening cruise is risky at best. The seatbelts dont work, the benches of the golf cart are loose and feels like you will fall apart while driving down the street. The owners who stayed prior to our arrival also used up all of the propane for the gas grill and it took us several days before maint could replace the propane tank. all in all this was one of the absolute worst vacation experiences we have ever witnessed. we will NOT be booking this rental again and chances are high that we will be looking at different rental company moving forward.

Amazing house!
Amazing and very clean house! Garage was filled with more than enough chairs, beach toys, and ice chests. Golf cart was amazing and really nice to have on trips to the beach and around Destin. Only downfalls are it being a pretty far walk to the beach, but the golf cart makes up for that, and the back door child proof alarms going off every time the door is opened. Overall amazing stay and amazing house. Would definitely rent again!

We had a wonderful time at the Destiny Splash. My husband and I went with two other couples and each couple had 3 children so there were 15 of us in all. There was plenty of room and the beds were all amazingly comfortable! Best sleep of my life! The kids lived in the pool and we paid for the extra heating but probably did not need to because the water was already decently warm when we arrived. The only thing that was a little annoying was that the alarm goes off every time you go out the door to the pool and you have to push a button to disarm it but I know that it is required by FL state law so we just learned to deal with it. There were plenty of kitchen appliances and utensils to provide everything we needed and the golf cart was very convenient for getting back and forth to the beach. Along with the golf cart, there were several little things in the house that probably could use an upgrade but it did not greatly effect the overall quality of our vacation. We really loved the layout of the house and the neighborhood is quiet, convenient and beautiful! I would definitely recommend this property to a friend! We all had a wonderful time thanks to this cute, beachy vacation home!

My husband and I went with two other couples and each couple had 3 children so there were 15 of us in all. There was plenty of room and the beds were all amazingly comfortable! Best sleep of my life! The kids lived in the pool and we paid for the extra heating but probably did not need to because the water was already decently warm when we arrived. The only thing that was a little annoying was that the alarm goes off every time you go out the door to the pool and you have to push a button to disarm it but I know that it is required by FL state law so we just learned to deal with it. Took our son, daughter-in-law, and three granddaughters to Destin for spring break. Destiny Splash was perfect for us. Perfect size, set up and the pool and deck area were great. Location was also a plus. The only negatives were that the big screen on the pool deck didn't work and the lights in the pool were not working. Other than that, everything was great.
