This property is a real find. It's located on a busy but not impossible street, set up and back from the street. A lush side garden provides access to the three or four apartments and spots to relax, with a partial view of San Francisco Bay and Alcatraz Island. It's a mere half-block to the most iconic Cable Car run down Hyde Street, and only two or three blocks from Buena Vista Cafe, Aquatic Park, and Fisherman's Wharf. A ten-to-fifteen minute walk in the other direction brings you into the heart of North Beach. It's a glorious part of the city to be in.
Apartment B consists of a small kitchen, a very large living and dining room, two steps down, and a quite large bedroom. The bathroom, which is off the bedroom, is small, but well outfitted with up-to-date plumbing fixtures. The shower was especially satisfying to use. The main rooms are quite beautiful.
The owner/landlord Jeff is a delight to deal with--warmly generous, thoughtful and immediately responsive to questions and concerns. One of the things I particularly appreciated is that he had prepared all the paperwork I needed to present to the City (along with a not-insignificant fee) for a neighborhood parking permit. If you've never had to deal with SF's parking regulations, be advised: it's difficult not to slip up on occasion and end up with a hefty fine. On a related matter: this is a good location from which to use MUNI, the public transportation system. I definitely plan on staying here again.

Fantastic Fisherman's Wharf Garden Apartment
The apartment is spacious, beautifully decorated and quiet. Jeff, the owner, made us feel welcome with fresh flowers from the garden, a bottle of wine, and chocolates. He helped us move in and showed us the amenities, including the laundry room. Jeff added a bed for our guest. The apartment has high ceilings and views of the garden. There is a private patio, Weber grill, and other outdoor seating areas. The kitchen is nicely equipped with a gas range. The location is ideal for a visit to San Francisco because you can walk to Fisherman's Wharf, North Beach, Chinatown, Ghiradelli Square, Pier 39, and the Municipal Pier adjacent to the Maritime Museum. The bus system is easy to use with bus stops just two blocks away. We went to the Golden Gate Park and the Financial District via bus. We also used BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) and the bus to go to and from the San Francisco Airport. Trader Joe's and Safeway are nearby along with numerous excellent restaurants and bars. Jeff has other rentals that are equally as nice. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Perfect Stay
Stayed here nearly two months recovering from both side knee surgeries. Jeff is an amazing host who did everything he could to make my stay and recovery as pleasant as possible. From ensuring the railings were secure, to putting handholds in the bathroom and then meeting me at the steps after surgery, I feel like he went above and beyond the call.
The house is well and fully equipped from the kitchen to the bath. Great WiFi. There is a private garden area wonderful for walking, with bonus views of Alcatraz. The neighborhood is really pretty quiet, but it’s only a short walk to tourist areas like pier 38, Fishermans wharf, and cable car stops. I had an amazing and successful stay. Our host Jeff was a big part of the success. Thanks again!! Highly recommend this property.

My family had a truly wonderful 4 week stay here. Jeff is an amazing host. He was very communicative, even when he went out of town, and always interested in doing anything that might make our stay more comfortable.
The apartment was pristine and absolutely beautiful. I know everyone says this, but the pictures really don’t do it justice. The apartment and the environment on the property are, as a friend of mine said, positively European. Every window looks out into a garden of some kind and we could see the Bay just sitting on our front porch. If you follow the brick path, yep it’s really brick, along the side of the property you come to a fire pit area that’s truly unique with wonderful vistas.
To make our particular setup more comfortable, Jeff installed another queen bed for us in the living room. Even with the bed, there was plenty of space for a dining table and a very comfortable living area.
The neighborhood was new to us and is now one of our favorites. It's walking distance from anything you might need and very conveniently located for public transportation.
We love traveling, but it’s rare for us to feel sad to leave a place. Yet, we were all pretty mopey our last day here, genuinely can’t wait to go back.
Thank you so much, Jeff!

Loved the apartment and the location
A very special place! Jeff welcomed us and helped us get settled in. He gave us great tips for places around to explore and how to get around. We loved sitting in the garden and enjoyed some of the herbs and fruit from the garden. The house is perfect with all you need for a fantastic stay. We loved the location and how easy it was to get around without a car. We hope to return next year.

Great location, great space, great host
This apartment feel larger than the photos might indicate; very comfortable, quiet, and clean. Jeff is extraordinarily communicative and attentive. Short walk to Fisherman's wharf and street cars to downtown; short walk to shopping. Wonderful stay.
