Le Dougie’s Den est une charmante maison de ville en pierre à terrasse moyenne qui a récemment subi une rénovation interne complète à un niveau magnifique avec des installations et des équipements élégants et élégants. Situé à la périphérie du centre d'Alnwick, ce chalet est la maison idéale pour ceux qui cherchent à explorer les attractions de cette ville historique telles que Barter Books, le château d'Alnwick et les jardins ainsi que la magnifique côte et la campagne de Northumbrian.
2 minutes à pied d'un petit supermarché
10 minutes à pied du centre-ville, des grands supermarchés, du centre sportif Willowburn et de la piscine.

Dougie’s Den was one of the best stays I have had. Cleanliness was outstanding. All modern conveniences. Superb location for Alnwick and surrounding areas. Super comfy beds and very quiet. Sweet garden was a bonus.
Trish was always available and provided helpful local tips.house looks even better in person.

This property has been refurbished to a high standard and is very clean. It is bigger than expected although if 4 adults were staying then small bathroom would be cosy but not an issue for young children.This property is a good base for the area

Clean ,nicely decorated house. Alnwick is a great place to stay with many beautiful places to visit. So many castles and stunning beaches and countryside. House was very comfortable and the host provided dog bowls, orange juice and milk in the fridge.
Lovely place ,would stay again ,as we still have lots to see. Alnwick is a lovely town and the locals very friendly.

We had a great week in this fabulous house. It is in a perfect location to explore Northumberland with free parking right outside. It is really well equipped, clean and modern. Would thoroughly recommend.

Dougie's den is a lovely and most comfortable, well equipped and convenient base from which to explore Alnwick and the surrounding area. The outdoor sitting area to the rear is an afternoon sun trap. The house is less than 10 minutes walk from the pleasant town centre and friendly locals. Our trip was blessed with glorious weather which allowed us to enjoy several beautiful beach and coastal walks as well as a boat trip from Sea Houses to Holy Island followed by seal and sea bird watching around the Farne Islands.
Trish is an excellent host - very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. There is lots of useful information in the house and recommendations of places to visit.
Northumberland has plenty to offer and we intend to return to Dougie's Den to see more.

Fabulous cottage, Great Location, Warm Welcome
Lovely cottage with everything you need. Walking distance to town, very close to a couple of convenience stores. Lots of nearby walks in countryside and by river. Fabulous stay. Also parking right outside a bonus.
Hosts were very helpful, had a minor problem that they resolved promptly.

All the reviews are spot on, this place is a great find. It’s been refurbished to a high standard with good quality furnishings. Spotlessly clean. The location is excellent, in a quiet neighbourhood, just a 5-10 minute walk to the centre of Alnwick and parking right outside the door. The perfect base for exploring further afield and attractions such as Alnwick Castle and the Alnwick Garden are within walking distance.
This house ranks among the top places we’ve stayed in over 20 years.

Lovely, cosy, warm and traditional Victorian terrace. Alnwick is a lovely town and this house gives you easy access but no problem with parking or noise. I’m tempted to put up a bad review so I can easily return…… but no, it’s lovely, as is the host. Do not hesitate to book.

Perfect home from home
Just returned from a fantastic stay at Dougie's Den, from the moment of booking to checking out, the host, Trish was attentive and friendly. The property is perfectly located with parking outside and supermarkets within walking distance. Dougie's Den is a real home from home with everything you could need for a self catering holiday and very comfy beds. The little private courtyard was a lovely little spot to enjoy an evening drink. We would not hesitate to return again and will be recommending to family and friends. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.

Perfect base to explore Northumberland
We had a fantastic time at Dougie’s Den. The house was perfect for the 4 of us with plenty of space and amenities. The decor is very tasteful and the garden is a super addition. We really enjoyed being able to walk into Alnwick and were able to reach lots of lovely places within minutes in the car. Communication throughout the booking process was excellent and we really appreciated tips and suggestions to help improve our holiday even more. We would love to visit again!

Fabulous stay in Alnwick
The house is a little two bed terrace, ten minutes walk from the centre of Alnwick - so the perfect location! There’s a co-op less than a minutes walk away or a big M&S food two minutes drive. Comfy beds, Netflix on the tv, liked the decor and loved the outdoor terrace (which was a sun trap!). Would definitely stay again!!

Lovely Comfortable and Warm Cottage in Historic Alnwick
Very clean, comfortable and well decorated property on the outskirts of Alnwick Town Centre. The beds and sofas were extremely comfortable and the little sitting out area quite a sun trap. We really enjoyed our short break and have no hesitation in recommending Dougies Den to anyone visiting Alnwick and surrounding areas.

Perfect Property
Dougie's Den was perfect for the two of us plus our dog. The place was spotless and very well equipped with everything we needed. The milk and orange juice in the fridge on arrival along with some sweet treats in a jar was a welcome surprise. To top it off the owners could not have been more helpful.

Fab house in a great location!
Lovely house, beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean. The garden was perfect to catch the sun after days of walking for miles along the fabulous beaches. Lots to see and do, despite recent lockdown, and the house was the perfect base. The owners were friendly and accommodating from booking until we checked out. Would definitely recommend!

Alnwick
Dougie's Den was a lovely place to stay in Alnwick. It is warm and comfortable and has a very spacious feel. It is in a quiet street about 10 minutes easy walk from the town centre and with a Coop within two minutes walk. We loved staying there.

Great stay for Christmas
We stayed here for a week over Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great location for exploring Alnwick and the house had been renovated to a high standard. The owners decorated the house with Christmas decorations which was also a nice touch. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend.

Dougie’s Den is a beautiful, cosy house and was great for our family. It is well presented and is very welcoming and we couldn’t have asked for more. Ideal location to visit sights in Northumberland with lots of parking outside. Would highly recommend.
