My family stayed here for a track and field meet at Hayward field. The property manager was exceptionally accommodating regarding an early check in. The house is cute and quite roomy - more than enough space for my husband, me and our teenagers. The kitchen is adequate though could use a few more utensils and better knives. The queen bed was lumpy and my husband did not sleep well though all other beds seemed comfortable. Neighborhood was very walkable to coffee, groceries and parks. Overall a very nice stay.

My wedding was at Sam Bonds Garage. I had my parents stay here and I got ready here. It was clean and spacious. Lots of natural lighting! Thank you!

Family of 7, Mom and Dad, grandparents and 3 little ones, 7,9 & 11- perfect space for us, kids slept upstairs and adults slept downstairs, clean, there was everything we needed, loved having keyless entry- would stay again, thanks!

TV Wi-Fi service was terrible and the mattresses were very hard and the garbage was full when we arrived and had no where to put our garbage. Also a for sale car parked in front of the house leaking antifreeze the entire time we were there so not much parking in front of the house. Other than that we had a great time at the house.

This is our second stay at the Whiteaker Art House - we enjoyed it so much last year we returned this year. It’s a comfortable functional affordable home just a block away from Blair Ave and the great assortment of unique restaurants and coffee shops. We stayed 2 weeks and it was a great home base for seeing Eugene.

Staying here definitely makes you embrace the Eugene vibe. The house provided what we needed for a weekend stay. Aside from the beds and tv being pretty small, our stay here was very pleasant. My only other comment would be about the owner conducting yard work and construction on the backyard fence for a good portion of our stay which I had not expected but didn’t take away from the overall experience.

We were pleasantly surprised at the home - it was tidy, clean, and overall a great rental. Our only negative was that the mattresses were a little stiff, but that could be personal preference. :)

Our family came for a duck football game. The house has decent access to the river trail and we rode our bikes. The place served its purpose and wasnt to expensive.

We visited from Michigan to see our daughters who both live in OR Found the house to be so comfortable for our needs and making wonderful memories- thank you!

Four of us stayed at the Art House, a funky but comfy house. We were seeing two concerts at the Cuthbert Amphitheater. We walked to the Ninkasi Brewery for bevs. Many dining options in the ‘hood. It was perfect!

Beautiful history evoked on the walls of this house through painting and collage and sculpture. Hipster neighborhood and close to downtown. Loved our stay!

The house was okay but a little tired. It was cleaned well though. The back bedroom had a smell like an animal had urinated in it. The neighborhood was a mix of well maintained properties, and some that are worn out. Also, the morning we were leaving, a neighbor asked us if we had noticed anything sketchy overnight as one of their cars had been stolen off the street!

The place was tidy enough. As other reviews stated the beds were not super comfortable but adequate. Our first night it was cold and rainy. We really needed to turn on the heat but couldn’t find the thermostat. . We called the property manager ttwice and then called the owner. Neither of them returned our call. We found some blankets and took quilts off some of the beds upstairs and made it through the next night. We weren’t at the house much until late at night so it worked but it was very frustrating to be so uncomfortable. Especially when a call would have provided the information. ( it should have been in the book). I was told by a friend that I should call VRBO about it. They were understanding and sent a message to the owners giving them 48 hours to contact me. I was asking for a partial refund. They did not contact me so I again contacted VRBO. They sent the owner an email asking them to respond to VRBO, VRBO would in turn email me about the conversation. Five days later, I still hadn’t heard from VRBO so, I called again. Apparently VRBO can do nothing if you have already left the property. What a waste of my time!!! I’m very disappointed in the property manager as well as VRBO. Completely unsatisfied customer.

We had a great overall experience. The only down fall of this house is that we couldn’t figure out how to turn the heat on. One of the nights, the house was cold but other than that, we enjoyed our stay. This location is surrounded by so much in walking distance. Would recommend this place!

This house is really cute with a nice layout. When we arrived the house was hot (the heat was on)and it smelled like an animal. We turned heat off and sprayed some stuff they had under the sink. And opened the windows. The next morning I went and got some plug ins and more spray.($42 worth) We covered the couches with some sheets and soon everything felt and smelt like home. We tried to turn heat back on later and it blasted a pet smell so we just turned it off. I really liked the house and location but it’s not 2 baths it’s 1 1/2 bath and the fence is not totallly contained. The are two boards gone in the back we moved the trash cans so our dog couldn’t go to the back. and there is gap in the front side corner that out 27 lb dog got out through. Overall I would stay here again it’s a good house but it has the potential to be great!

It is, however, lovely in artistic and eccentric charm. We had a small issue with the heat but that was quickly resolved with a short call with the manager. As garden people we were all charmed with the exuberant and eclectic mix of flowering plants and shrubs that make the fenced yard a real asset to the ambience of our stay.

We had a great stay. The house is easy access for main roads and shopping. We came to visit university of Oregon. The house had plenty of sleeping options and all the amenities. Would definitely stay there again.

The cottage was exactly as presented - a clean, well stocked, and well maintained period cottage filled with wall murals and art. We didn't use the upstairs, but there is plenty of room up there for a larger group. The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable, the kitchen was useful and had everything we needed. The neighborhood was quiet, nice, and very friendly. But what was great was the location near Blair Boulevard, with the fantastic restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and breweries. Almost everything was within walking distance (1 to 3 blocks), and the Southbank river bike trail was just a few quiet street blocks away - an excellent urban trail that connects to the Northbank trail and out of town into Springfield and beyond.

We rented this house for my family and a friend's family to stay together for our daughter's volleyball tournament so we didn't really spend a lot of time there, but if we ever take a vacation trip to Eugene we will definitely be renting this place. Only downside was how cold it got but after we found the thermostat, everything was great! Kitchen a little small but everything else was spacious and comfortable. Very cool deco, still laughing at my friends reaction when she realized what the bookcase was! Communication was perfect with owners.
