Great location.

Great peaceful location and walkable into the centre and to the pier, perfect for exploring Eastbourne and the nearby area! Owners where super friendly and sorted our parking permits very quickly! The loft also had everything you could possibly need as well :) would definitely recommend!

Location was great, accomodation comfortable. Parking at the weekend was no problem. Large fridge available

We liked the location as it was away from the centre of town plus it had its own village and the bed is very comfortable.
As I am 6ft 3 in it was cramped in the toilet and I had to watch my head in the property

The room was clean and tidy. The description provided on booking was accurate. High quality towels were provided. The location is very nice and with a few good restaurants and pubs in walking distance.
If you are a light sleeper, bring a mask and earplugs because some light leaks from the blinds, and the noise from the pub downstairs, or the fridge inside the room, might wake you up. If you're going to use the bus to go back to the room, check the timetable because the last one might be earlier than you expect.

Lovely cosy, comfortable annexe in an excellent location next door to a decent pub, the South Downs for walking & the beach. Really good value for money for a bank hol.

When I arrived, the gate wouldn't open, so I had to contact the number I was given, and because there was no signal, I had to walk back up to my car.
It would have helped if I'd been greeted or given more information. Once I was in, however, I was really pleased with the property and had a lovely stay there.

Cozy, warm with all facilities & great shower!
lack of parking

The location is in the lovely ‘meads’ area of Eastbourne, near the downs on the western side of town. Very close to the seafront and also close to shops and cafes. Lovely homely feel. All mod cons. Hidden away, so very secluded. Feels like a “secret hideaway” for couples.
I found the mattress quite hard - just not what I’m used to - sorry, plus the (beautiful) antique bed is really creaky so that you wake your partner up if you have to get up for the bathroom in the night. There is no ‘quiet way’ to enter/exit the bed.
Parking seems to be a big issue in the area - you have to ensure you’re not in a resident permit only space, just be warned.
No big gripes really. Perhaps if you’re very tall you might have a problem with banging your head on the sloping eaves….we did a few times, but it’s fine!

Beautiful room with good quality towels and bedding. Very comfortable. Excellent pub next door. Easy to find and clear instructions.
Nothing.

The property was exactly what we were expecting
The limitations of the parking.
4.3
Close to where I needed to be.
Lack of ventilation made this small room stuffy.
Lack of cutlery and crockery made it difficult to provide oneself with even a basic breakfast.
4.3
There was nothing to really enjoy about the room, it was simply that a room and bathroom no special refinements rather restricted headroom overall a fact which should be stated particularly for taller people whilst not exciting it suited my purpose of having somewhere to sleep.
Not sure

Lovely little apartment, close to beach and seafront, local shops and pubs .
All you need for a nice break , clean comfy room to sleep and a ensuite bathroom .
Has small fridge, kettle and selection of tea coffee and sugar.
Small tv to watch if u wanted.
Perfect for a couple wanting a getaway who are dining out for a break.
Beautiful walks up to beachy head and along the seafront if you like to walk and explore.
Hosts were friendly and there if needed but no issues to need to contact them 🙂
Will definitely book again
Nothing all was excellent.
Flush on the toilet a bit frustrating probably due to water pressure takes a few flushes to clear paper

Brilliant location! Very useful to have a fridge and a microwave. Great food at the pub next door.
Sloping ceilings.

Nice location lovely area great views on the foot of beachy head
Stairs up to the accommodation , banging my head on the ceiling in the bathroom TV in the wrong place no milk for hot drinks

Poor WiFi. Flushing not efficient

The location of this place is great. It is right next door to a pub (which serves food - although not breakfast). Another pub (which does serve breakfast) and supermarkets (Tesco and Coop) are just a short walk away. It is only a few minutes walk from the seafront and you can easily get down to the promenade and walk and walk to your heart's content. If you're really into walking you're also not that far from Beachy Head. You can also walk into town from here, or get a bus.
The accommodation is set behind a locked gate and is above a garage. You won't be overheard and it felt a safe place to be.
Underfloor heating in the bathroom! We discovered the switch for the underfloor/towel rail by accident. It's situated outside to the right of the bathroom near the floor. This does make the room toasty warm. Even in December the heating (once you figure it out) does get the room warm. The blinds are good black-out blinds.
The people in the main house offered a parking permit, which we declined as there was a street market on at the time we arrived so there was nowhere to park anywhere nearby. We ended up on the main road on the seafront (which doesn't need a permit anyway).
Overall, this was okay for a couple of nights. If you're just looking for a place to crash after being out all day this could be for you. If you're looking for a home-from-home, this is not it.
Best to understand that this is just a bedroom with ensuite shower room. It is not really self-catering. There is a tiny microwave (check all the cupboards to find it) and a 'fridge' (one of those cooler keep-stuff-inside-it-slightly-cooler-than-outside type). So, you can nominally keep milk cool for drinks. There is a tray with a couple of mugs, a couple of glasses and a couple of teaspoons. You can make drinks. That's it. No knife(s), fork(s), plate(s), sharp knife - nothing that would mean you could actually self-cater. There is a bowl to wash up, but the sink in the bathroom is so tiny you can't directly fill the kettle with it.
You need to go out to eat, which is fine so long as you know that before you get here.
Other issues for us were:
* wifi - it's flaky. Sometimes it works and sometimes it didn't. Rebooting the router made it work for a while, but it wasn't really reliable.
* Shower - this is not a power-shower. I got wet and could get clean. The temperature didn't get any better than lukewarm - and then went cold.
* Towels - one of the towels left for us stank of stale cigarettes. We couldn't use it.
* Bed - This was one of the most uncomfortable beds I have slept in/attempted to sleep in. The mattress was too hard and I could feel the springs. Hubby, on the other hand, had no problems sleeping, so this may not be a problem for anyone else.
* Pillows - others have mentioned that the pillows are very soft. They are not supportive at all. I ended up using the other towel to provide some level of firmness.
* Flooring - there are places where the laminate flooring is not flush and is lifting. This might hurt you if you walk around in bare feet. (Looked like it might have had water damage.)
* pub next door - great that it does food. We did hear loud voices on Friday night when it was closing time. I would imagine it would be noisier in the summer

it had everything we needed.
pillows were exceptionally soft, would prefer something firmer

No towel change a heated towel rail would help.

Stayed a couple of nights with my dog. The location is perfect for dog walks. Powerful shower, microwave and a small fridge. Tesco express, cafés and a nearby pub are all a bonus.
It's a lovely quaint place. Definitely recommend 👌

Lovely clean and comfortable room and very friendly welcoming owners. The sail loft is in a really good location close to the beach and the foot of beachy head, so good for dog walks and/or hiking.
4.3
Sail Loft was extremely well placed for walking on the downs, only a short walk to the town and 2 mins from local shops. A great little place for a short break. Good for some lovely dog walks.
4.3
The owners were waiting with the parking permits for us to purchase, and couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful.
The quality of the bedding and towels was superb and the shower very powerful.
It wasn't clear where we got parking permits from before arrival, which was a little stressful after a 6 hour drive.
The loo was a bit tricky to get a complete flush from at first, but we soon perfected ' the knack' and so it wasn't an insurmountable problem.

Lovely clean room, good location
