The apartment is spacious and clean, has all the necessities we need for our stay. It has two balconies, one was equipped with washing lines and the other one has a view on the bush, there are many colorful birds in this area, like the pink pigeon and some parrots, some of which we don’t know the name, can also see the Mauritius fruit bat during the sunset. Jeh is a great host, he managed to help us rent a car at a short notice during the high season, really appreciated, he also organized airport pickup and drop off for us which made our trip went so smoothly. We did enjoy our stay here.

Clean and functional. Breakfast was not included, but on arrival I had everything I needed. Bread, milk, fruit, ham, bottled water, butter, jam, beer, juice, cooking oil, all cleaning material etc...

Location is a little "out the way" as to what I expected, BUT I had a car so getting to main arterial roads to restaurants, beaches, shops was very easy and close by. Plus side is that it is quiet.

Security camera at the propriety and also land lord living downstairs. Practical to reach someone during my stay.

From the minute I arrived and picked up my rental car, I already was amazed. I never thought something or someone could top that. But then I was greeted by my super host Jeh at my arrival. While showing me his nice spacious accomodation, there was no question he wouldn´t answer. Therefore I cannot understand former guests finding anything negative to ride on. His premises is well and clever situated in a quiet area. I would chose his place over any hotel on the island. I enjoyed every minute out of my 16 days around Jeh. I already made plans with him to come back in Dec 2022. This speaks volumes.

I couldn´t find a single thing being annoyed about. Try for yourself.

The location is great: in a very quiet and green neighbourhood. We had mango trees growing in front of our window literally. The place is very spacious, plenty of room and very clean. You have a living room entrance where you can have your drink in the evening, a dining area, with chairs, 2 bedrooms with new beds and matresses, clean linen and in the closet you can find also towels and extra linen. Moreover, in one of the bedrooms you have an ironing table and an iron. Both rooms have air condition. In the kitchen you have all proper ammenities: plates, bowls, glasses, cuttlery, a small fridge with a freezer, even ice cubes. The kitchen is very well organized for a self service accommodation. Jay, the host, is very helpful. He found us a car to rent for 20€/day. All we asked, he was very kind to help and answer or offer. Close to the place, on the same street, but opposite, it's Esprit Libre Restaurant where you can eat a great tuna fish. The prices are a little high. For less expensive food go to Chez Ram, on the main road or La Ragouille, a Creole restaurant, where you might need reservation. There are plenty of markets around. The biggest is Super U, where you can also buy Chamarel rhum at a lower price or cane sugar and exotic fruit jam, made at Labourdonnais. The nearest beach is Mon Choisy. There you also have some sreet food choices at lower prices. No need to bring too many clothes. You find there a washing machine at the ground floor. Keep your luggage for souvenirs and rhum 😄

Maybe the fact that in the shower area there is no shelf to put the toiletries/soap...

Light and airy, lots of space, private entry... They gave us the keys in the morning of our arrival, as we were going to be gone all day, and wanted to be able to walk in late at night. Very reasonable price. Nice attempt to provide a non-perishable breakfast (not really appealing, and we aren't breakfast people, but some thought had clearly been put into it).

Somewhat noisy (dogs, construction...). Not a lot of "charm." No hot water. Air Conditioning unit not functioning in one of the two bedrooms (we only used one of the two, so this did not matter for us, but it would have been an issue had both rooms been in service). Most important for us: the location was not as shown on the map (it turned out to be 2 k further to the northwest, away from the commercial center of Grand-Baie). We did not have a car, and had tried to book walking distance from friends in town, so this was an issue. In the end, though we had booked two nights, we only stayed there one: the other night we slept on the sofa bed of the friends we were visiting. Don't know whose fault this is: google maps, booking.com, or the owners.
