Cute cottage located in very quiet area of Knocklong. Convenient for day trips we made over 5 day stay to Cliffs of Moher, DOOLIN, Limerick, Ring of Kerry, Killarney and national park, TORC Falls, KENMARE, Adare, Dingle Town and Tralee, Sally Gap, and ended in Dublin for 3 days. Car required. Only one pizza restaurant in village. Mary was helpful in reserving property and Maggie was helpful while at cottage. Did have few issues that need addressing and reported them to Mary. Thanks for use of your cottage.

Wonderful cottage, great location, and helpful caretaker
Really had a fantastic stay. Got all into the Irishness.
Marvelous base camp for exploring Ireland.

The cottage is nice but needs some attention & money put into it Heating didn’t work in 1/2 the place, dryer didn’t work (we were told it’s an ongoing issue)
Hot water was scarce for showering. Had to have a fire on to keep warm at night.
4.8
The cottage was nice and cozy as it had a fireplace with a traditional feel. There are however some issues that need to be fixed
( supposedly waiting for maintenance people to come and fix the problem). It was however addressed with the owner who provided us with a partial credit.

Close to everything you want to see and very comfortable for five women with downstairs accommodations for people that can’t climb stairs.
Quaint neighborhood and private garden area. Highly recommend!!

Quiet surroundings. Very beautiful and restful. Absolutely private. It was well positioned for day trips to significant sites in Ireland. Couldn’t have been more pleased.

Enjoyed our stay in this quiet and peaceful cottage. Successfully accomplished day trips in the surrounding counties; satisfying our desire to see quite a bit of Ireland. Wifi in cottage was greatly appreciated, although being a new addition the coverage was a bit weak st times, though did not pose a problem. Thankful for our stay.

This cozy cottage has everything you need. I will rebook when I am back in the area. Tis a perfect home to relax in front of a peat fire and enjoy a beverage.

The cottage was just what we imagined a traditional Irish cottage to look like. From the first glimpse, we knew we were in for a wonderful stay. It was clean, cozy, and comfortable. We had all the comforts of home including a washer and dryer so there wasn’t a mound of laundry to do once we got home. After busy days sightseeing, it was so relaxing to comeback, sit by the fire, and enjoy a class of wine or a pint of Guinness. Any and all questions we had were answered almost immediately by either the owner of Maggie- the terrific caretaker. If you are looking for an authentic feel of an Irish Cottage with modern upgrades, this one is for you!

We had a wonderful time at this home. It was a perfect, cozy, home in a quiet and beautiful setting. Everyone we encountered in town was friendly and helpful. We also received plenty of helpful advice from the owners and property manager. The location was perfect for day trips to the many attractions in the area. It was everything we hoped it would be and more. We hope to come back someday!

Wonderful Cottage
A warm and inviting house in a quiet neighbourhood with all the great warmth of the Irish countryside. Near to Cities and easy drive to great tourist spots including Ring of Kerry and Cork.. Wonderful place to relax after a day of sight seeing in front of a beautiful fire. Would be great for families and/or friends who are sharing.

A lively cottage in rural Ireland
My friends and I enjoyed our stay in Knocklong. The owner is responsive and very helpful. The accommodations are simple yet comfortable . It did turn out to be a bit too rural for our group and we spent more time driving to sites than we would have preferred. But a great taste of Ireland nonetheless .

Five of us friends spent four days here, and had a great time. We didn't explore too much of the area, we just wanted a little getaway to watch a few movies, and play board games together. So we spent plenty of time in the house, and loved it! Bedrooms were very comfortable and homely, although one didn't have blinds/curtains, but we didn't use that room. Bathrooms were well equipped, and one shower had good handrails and a chair if anyone needs that. The front room was bright, spacious, and filled with character! We felt at home right away. We used the fireplace one of the nights, and it was a lovely, warm centerpiece for us to gather around and chat the night away. Anyone who's looking for an idyllic cottage getaway, but with modern, good quality bathrooms and kitchen, you won't go too far wrong with this house!

Comfortable accommodation, suitable for family group. All facilities one would expect, except dishwasher. Several scenic areas/places of interest within reach fir day or half-day trips but you have to be prepared to drive.

House is charming, and well-equipped. Clean and neat. Somewhat rustic inside, with plenty of room for us.
Moderate drive to the Cliffs of Moher, Bunratty Castle and Waterford.
Only warning is: if you are looking for city life and restaurants next door, look on. It’s about ten kilometers to a good restaurant. We laid in food and ate in for 1-2 meals a day.
The house is extremely quiet, except for the mooing of cattle mid-morning.
We enjoyed our stay very much and would return.

Lovely Irish cottage. A bit remote but perfect for all day trips allowing you to come back to a home away from home! A few quirks; the kitchen could be upgraded and pots and pans improved. Small things to bring it up to date. A skylight in the upstairs bathroom, which currently has no window, would be a great improvement. Also adding a some basics like extra light bulbs and garbage bin bags. Overall, we had a great time! Thanks Mary and Maggie!!

My daughter had an Irish Dance competition in Limerick and we were looking for a nice place to stay at for 5 adults and 1 child. For someone who is looking to see a more traditional Ireland, this cottage is perfect. The area is very quiet, with a small village nearby that has a lovely place for an early dinner and a gas station. Very much enjoyed dinner at the Aerlow House and our day trip to Lough Gur, which are both nearby. The cottage was perfect for our needs. With 4 bedrooms and 3 toilets, people had their own space when they wanted it. The central room was perfect for family dinners and the amenities were perfect for our needs. The wifi is a little spotty at times, especially with multiple devices. This is an older, traditional Irish cottage, so you may not have access to the same amenities you may be used to.

We were looking for a place to call "home" for a few days as we discovered the west of Ireland. We spent the daytime traveling to Limerick, Adare and Killarney and then spent the evenings sitting by the lovely fireplace. The town is quite small, but has a nice pub with friendly locals. If you're looking for a place to get away and relax, this fits the bill! The caretaker is close by to answer any questions. Would highly recommend staying here.

Cozy cottage was just right for our family trip for 7! Was concerned that the bunk bed would be too small for our teens, but all was fine. Maggie (the caretaker) is a jewel, and made our stay that much more pleasant.

Beautiful cottage lovely excellent location
We just spent a week in this lovely cottage, the photos don’t really do it justice. It’s spacious and the main room with the high ceilings and open fire made it very inviting. There was plenty of room to have family for a cup of tea and a great chat. There were only two of us at the cottage my Mum and I but it was well worth it. It’s beautiful safe place in a lovely village. Must just say Maggie the house keeper is really sublime she’s there if you need anything and super helpful. I would not hesitate to come back. We are lucky enough to have lots of family around so there is always lovely places to visit. However the Knocklong festival was on the whole week and had great events every day which was nice to see local history. Heartily recommend the Magnet bar for local homely food at great value in a friendly atmosphere ate here several times made to feel very welcome. Also Gallahues in Ballylanders does great meals. Definitely come back !

Loved our 3 day stay here during our Sisters trip to Ireland
The cottage was better than we imagined, comfortable beds, large living area and stocked with everything we needed. Maggie was so helpful and took good care of us, even having a fire in the fireplace upon our return from our day travels. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely
We enjoyed the amazing cottage. The upkeep was good. We enjoyed using this as our home base for the daily day trips we took. It was nice to come home to this quite cottage in a quite neighborhood. The beds are in good shape and the kitchen is big enough so you are not banging into each other all the time. The closest bar was never open when we were home to try and walk there but maybe next time.

This cozy cottage had plenty of room for our group with both private & group spaces to share.
The property was well taken care of with manager, Maggie, in charge. We came back from exploring one rainy night to a warm peat fire! Curaheen Cottage was centrally located for visiting many sites, some which we'd planned to see & others which Mary suggested. We appreciated having a full sized washer & dryer. The kitchen was well equipped for our group, as we enjoy cooking together. Bed & bath linens were of high quality also. Mary has done a great job of updating with modern conveniences without losing the feel of an Irish cottage.

Adorable, perfect cottage for our family!!!
We had a wonderful stay at Knocklong! We did a day trip to the Cliffs on day, and Kinsale the next. The cottage was perfect for our needs. And Maggie, the caretaker, could not have been sweeter! Comfy beds, clean linens, working fireplace, two full bathrooms, it was great for 3 adults and two children. Two tips: Bring slippers, the floors are incredibly gorgeous and rustic but are tough to walk on with socks or barefeet. Plan you dinners and pay attention to the notes the owner sends you before your trip. The area was a tad more rural than we expected and dinner time the first night became cheese and crackers ;)

Simply very good
Very lovely peaceful place with atmosphere as expected. Location is good for making day trips into different directions to explore this beautiful part of the country. It was ideal for our family.

A perfect home away from home!
7 Curraheen was a charming and perfectly located home for our family of 7 which spanned 3 generations and included our 1 & 4 year old grandchildren. We had a full schedule for our 8 days in Ireland with planned day trips to Limerick & Adare, Cliffs of Moher, Dingle Peninsula, Muckross House & Killarney, Galway, Blarney Castle & Kinsale. We were able to reach each destination in around 2 hours or less and found Knocklong to be very central to our plans.
And each evening we returned to our cozy home. We had everything we needed. Our caretaker Maggie made sure we were comfortable. She even left treats for our little ones for the plane ride home!
Our weather was spectacular. Our memories priceless. We will never forget our time at 7 Curraheen.

Great Cottage
Our group filled every room and my wife, son and I took the upstairs. We had a view of some ruins up on the hill and our own bathroom. We had three generations traveling together and everyone enjoyed the cottage and found it very comfortable. The fireplace kept us warm at night. We found restaurants and groceries in nearby Tipperary and took Day trips to Cork, Waterford and to Cashel. Go see The Rock of Cashel and the English Market in Cork. The house is situated in a community with 5 or so more homes but we never heard or saw our neighbors. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Wonderful stay in a lovely cottage located on the central west coast of Ireland.
We specifically selected the Curaheen Cottage in Knocklong because of the central location to the areas that we wanted to visit – the Rock of Cashel, the Dingle Peninsula, the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, and Galway. We made the correct choice of locations. Additionally, near Knocklong is the Lough Gur Settlement and the nearby largest stone circle in the world. We arrived late in the day, and Maggie had already stopped by and built a warming fire that was greatly appreciated by all. With seven of us in our party, there was plenty of room. On our first night, we went to dinner at the Magnet. The owner epitomizes C’ead Mile Failte. We arrived within a half hour of closing and volunteered to do take-out. He would hear nothing of that. He was so friendly to us and educated us on the sport of Hurling and very kindly gave our grandson demonstrations of the sport. Needless to say, we have become hurling fans. For us, the Curaheen Cottage and Knocklong were the perfect combination of cottage and location that gave us the flexibility to see some of the beautiful areas of Ireland’s central and west coast. C’ead Mile Failte! Susan, Amelia, Elizabeth, Paige, Richard, William, and Michael

This charming cottage is just the ticket for doing day trips around the SW of Ireland.
We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the countryside and the very friendly, welcoming people of Ireland and our little "neighborhood". Everything we needed was provided and beds were comfy. Would love to stay again one day!

Beautifully maintained cottage
Excellent traditional cottage located on the border of County Limerick and County Tipperary. Perfect accommodations for a family trip. Very easy to locate and the home comes equipped with everything you will need for your stay.
Maggie the care taker was very accessible and everything was in good working order when we arrived. The owner was very responsive to questions and stayed in contact. If you're looking for a well appointed place to stay in a quiet community I recommend this home.
