Nice, clean apartment on the beach in La Jolla.

A spacious penthouse condo with sweeping views of the amazing surfers and sunsets at Windandsea Beach. One of the cleanest rentals we've had with a well-equipped kitchen and room-sized balcony with comfortable seating. Sliding glass doors make the balcony part of the living space and bring in the fresh ocean air. Be prepared to climb three flights of stairs but it's worth it. We look forward to returning.

If you want Windandsea beach front location, this checks all the boxes... Condo was prefect for a family or couples getaway.. Reserve with confidence.

We keep coming back because there are very few places like it.

Beautiful convenient location with fantastic views and easy beach access, great for our family vacation of two parents with two adult children. The property is well maintained, with high-end appliances, builders-grade baseboards, and basic décor. I was required to upload a scan of my ID to a non-VRBO web site before arrival (a first for me). The listing says "basic soaps," which for us meant no soap or shampoo in the bathrooms and no laundry detergent. The A/C was rather noisy and the cable box didn't work. Property management didn't respond to our VRBO message about the cable box, so we got along with streaming via the smart TV but couldn't watch sports. The access directions are confusing. Here is what I wish we were told: "Mapping apps will take you to the east (Vista Del Mar Ave, non beach) side of the building. The garage and walkup entrances are on the west (Neptune Place, beach) side of the building. The 4-digit code gives access to the garage. There is no way to enter the unit directly from the garage (as far as we could tell). To enter the building after parking in the garage, walk back out the garage door and re-enter the property through the door to the left of the garage door. The 4-digit code opens that door as well. Then ascend the stairs and follow instructions for the 10-digit code to unlock the unit's front door. The door is sticky so when you hear the lock make a happy noise (ascending tones), turn the deadbolt, press down on the thumb latch, and pull firmly."

5-Star experience all the way around! Lovely 3 bedroom condo with gorgeous, unobstructed views of the La Jolla coast. Communicative, professional, excellent property management, and a well located, gorgeous condo with stunning ocean views, and vast kitchen and common area, with three great bedrooms. We were a family of five with kids ages 18, 17 and 14 and we all loved our La Jolla experience. Parking was easy and spacious. Important note: no use of elevator, so be prepared to walk up and down the stairs frequently, and be sure to unload luggage at the front door (and not via the garage), which will spare you a flight of stairs. Great week long vacation...perfect location and wonderful all the way around.

What a beautiful location right on the beach with spectacular views! The sunsets were amazing. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay was provided. A short drive into La Jolla and all that San Diego has to offer. Garage parking a real plus. Looking forward to a return visit!

There are few, if any, times where I enter the vacation rental and the space is even better than the pictures presented. The space and view was breathtaking and was also a safe and child-friendly space for our 13 mo son. I hope that my family and I get to return to this home in the future.

Superior property management combined with a spectacularly decorated space, gorgeous ocean view, and three en-suite bedrooms equals a perfect family vacation. Hate to leave a positive review bc we’d rather keep this gem to ourselves., but we can’t stay here year round. Pro tip: unload luggage thru the front door — not the garage— and save yourself a flight of stairs. We parked in the garage and on the street. Both were easy!

Fantastic place!! Gorgeous views. Very clean. Had an issue with no gas for the grill but the manager came over within minutes to give us a new tank. Really quiet street. Only noise was the wonderful calming sound of the waves. Family exercised every day. So close to and walkable to eateries & shopping. One of the best rentals we’ve ever had. Vent in master bedroom was a problem. Perhaps owner can install an air guard diverter.

Just completed our second stay and I’m already longing to go back. Tip for those going in the future - tilt the master bedroom AC a bit so it doesn’t blow on your face. We didn’t realize this the first time and it made a big difference. This place is everything I could want in a rental - perfect space, the most incredible view and cute neighborhood.

Property was great for a group of 5 adults. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. The balcony and sunsets were the best part of the stay. Location was a quiet residential location, but well located to do whatever we wanted. One of the nicest we have rented.

My husband and I stayed here 2 weeks. We loved our time in the condo. The ocean views are fantastic, enormous, and beautiful as we spent a lot of our time enjoying them from many places on the property. The kitchen was exceptional and we cooked several meals. The living room area and balcony views were exactly as we were hoping them to be. The beds were comfortable too. I appreciated all of the space we had including the large closet in the master bedroom and the wonderful shower in the master bath. Our son and grandson spent a weekend with us and there was more than enough room. The Windansea area is beautiful! The condo is fantastic. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the area and took long walks every day. The instructions for checking in were easy to follow and all email communications were timely and helpful. I just can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our time there; having the elevator for use would have been helpful, but we managed the steps just fine. We hope to return on a future visit to La Jolla!

We have stayed here 2 times and have another two trips planned. We love the location, view and amenities. Fabulous rental. We look forward to coming back.

We have stayed at this vrbo four times. We love the location and condo. There are a few maintenance issues that we saw. The handle in mastrbdrm was falling off, the window crank in mstrbdrm and guest bdrm does not work. Cannot operate them, and the shades in great room on west slider did not roll down. Also it would be nice to atleast have the elevator for moving luggage in on day of arrival and upon leaving on day of departure.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Linda was very responsive to our concerns and needs. The view and the proximity to Windansea beach are by far the best features. The third floor location is great for the view but the steps to get up there can be a hassle for the very young or the very old. There is an elevator which is not available to this unit. The walls of the hallway between the second and third floor are marred and marked from people banging their baggage against the wall. Also, the glass on the patio is in dire need of a thorough wash (all other units in the building have spotless glass on their patios). Again, I recommend the rental very highly. Joe from Denver

I made sure I read all the reviews on this property before we booked it and I am so glad we did! The view was amazing!! Everywhere you looked from the windows there were ocean and beaches.

Every summer we spend a week of downtime with family in San Diego. Our property we were scheduled to rent fell through and we were lucky to find the listing. The property management team was easy to work with. The property is newly renovated and it is beautiful. I gave it 4 stars just because of minor tweaks that disrupted our visit. First, the view is stunning and we enjoyed that the most but the windows are filthy and in desperate need of washing. We noticed other units getting their windows washed but they did not do the unit we were in. I had to clean(partially) the deck windows to see clearly out of them. Also another guest mentioned this too, the AC situation in the master. An artic blast woke me up several times a night and was a little annoying. Lastly the noise. There is a lot of traffic and noise outside the unit so it is not a peaceful as one would think. That is more probably due to the area or location of the unit. We enjoyed our time and being so close to the beach. Also, none of the windows opened, only one window had a crank on it to actually open. Not sure what that was about.

This Penthouse is Amazing!!!! It has everything you can possibly need. Walkable to beach and a few restaurants. Amazing sunsets from the balcony every night. We all loved watching all the surfers right in front of us as well. Don’t look any further you will not be disappointed!

I don’t want to leave a review because I want to keep this diamond all to myself, but I feel I owe it to the property! Amazing stay. Views were even better than we imagined and it felt like we were on a boat in the ocean from some angles. Balcony was private with the waves crashing directly at us. Garage was super convenient and we didn’t find the lack of elevator difficult at all. We thought the stairs would be more strenuous based on some descriptions but the beach access was incredibly easy - even with a two year old and five year old. The inside is nicely furnished and the kitchen (with a working ice maker!) is spacious and well equipped. Laundry and AC were a huge bonus. We did end up sleeping backwards on the bed because of the AC vent but it was very comfortable and having AC was worth it because we sleep better cold! It felt like home for the week and we are already looking to book it again.
