Although at first glance looked clean it needed attention to detail a lot of dust in room and stairs needed vacuum. They had emptied rooms of personal items and left on stairs. Fab in room was really dirty. Not a budget stay so expected more. Room 3 at top of property was very hot. Had to turn off heating and open windows . Mattress was old so a topper had been added but didn’t make up for mattress.

Had to ask for some of the food we had ordered. One bowl of yoghurt served with 2 spoons! Breakfast order forms confusing. Other customers also had issue with their breakfast

We were given a room above the bar, very noisy and our toddler couldn’t get to sleep until past midnight. Only one radiator was working in the bedroom area so it was cold. We were given a little electric heating but it was incredibly noisy

Food was fantastic but was asking at evening meal and breakfast if I wanted sauce extras, which I did and they never came.

Bath was dirty, shampoo conditioner lotion bottles old and almost empty and very dirty. quilt and pillows were awful, so flat/cheap.

This was one of the loveliest breaks my daughter and I have ever experienced. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed like long lost friends. Mattie is amazing, she made us feel like family. The room off the garden was ideal for us and our three dogs who were warmly welcomed too. The room is well appointed and homely with a wonderful bathroom suitable for a variety of needs. Extremely comfortable. The breakfasts and dinner were superb.

Absolutely nothing - one tiny little suggestion. A small soft runner headboard would be very helpful and aid comfort when sitting up to watch TV.

Very cute British pub, gorgeous fire area with comfortable seating and amazing food - bar selection. Very lovely bedrooms, everything you could ask for and very warm !

Great location and great friendly staff. Good food as well. Had a lovely fire on a cold night. Patrons were friendly and made us feel welcoming. Overnight accommodation was excellent and ideal with our large dog, who was made the centre of attention!

We thought it was overpriced for both the room and the food. Lacking hooks in the bathroom. There was only one chair in the room. There was nothing else in the village.

This is a real gem, hidden in a beautiful small village the pub/hotel has a real Cotswolds charm but is also quirky and modern. Great vibrancy in the pub and restaurant. Food was amazing especially loved the Colombian eggs for breakfast, stunning bedroom and super dog friendly. Last mention has to be for the owners and staff who were brilliant and couldn’t do enough for their guests. Can’t wait to go back!

Charming inn, lovely garden. Rooms very comfortable - we were in a garden room which was modern but with lovely decor in keeping with the older part of the building. Food was great and reasonably priced, one of the best hotel breakfast selections I’ve seen too. Only pub in the village so some locals (and their dogs!) added interest to the visit too.

The property was fantastic, bed was a dream. Very comfy and such a peaceful location. Bottled water in the room, all the toiletries you need as well as a coffee maker and a couple of small sweet treats ! Rooms were huge, bathroom had a double sink. We could not fault the room or the staff at all. Gorgeous gardens as well. Breakfast was also fantastic, lots of options and everything was cooked to perfection/ presented beautifully.

We had a meal on the Monday evening. I ordered the pea and mint pasta, for £24.00 this was very disappointing. The pasta was undercooked and lacked flavour. We ordered the chocolate sponge for dessert which was not what we expected, mainly a chocolate ball with a very small amount of sponge crumbled into it. Seemed very expensive for what we got. When we got the bill we could see 12.5 percent service was added automatically. I agree that hospitality staff should get service charge when the customer is very happy with the food/ waitress but this should be their choice. It should not be added automatically.
