The location was awesome. The bed was actually pretty comfortable and the pressure was decent in the shower.

It’s a bit rough looking of a place. The duct tape holding things together and water stains on the ceiling.

Need to work on the cleanliness. Light didn't work. Room very dark. The mesh door cannot be used, handle and lock broken.

It was comfortable and good value for the money. The gas cooktop worked well and the reverse cycle air conditioner kept the cottage cool. The wifi worked fine in our cottage

The TV was not in a good spot to view from the lounge. The free to air channels did not seem to come through. Maybe an issue with the antenna

This place is really nice and very comfortable :) We had 4 kids and 2 adults it was nice and clean and modern inside :) perfect for our little family :)

Nothing to do with the property But will say the supermarket is priced so crazy like $7-10$ more for everything that you would pay in doles or Woolies would definitely recommend going to the iga still expensive but nothing like the supermarket lol I would recommend bring your own dry items Cereal Butter Glad wrap /foil Sauces /condiments Spreads ( was $11 for a tiny thing of Vegemite) Oil And any snacks Because those things are crazy expensive 😂😂

Facilities completely run down old shack broken tiles coming away from wall 50 year indoor outdoor carpet dirty bench tops no side lamps near bed or power points, no fly screens on most windows if there was they were all broken, leaking taps causing trip hazard. Owners when complaining said after all these are 50 year old shacks in Denham what do you expect for the money and we wouldn't get anything better . Also they are in the process of renovating all cottages and I felt because we booked through booking.com bad luck for us. Unfortunate for us we didn't get a renovated one even though we had booked ours months in advance. I have a video of rooms.

the location and view every morning was amazing

the pictures of my room and what I actually got were completely different. so in pictures it showed I had a decent kitchen with oven and bench space. what I got was the exact opposite. A tiny kitchen with no space, no oven (a bench top oven that was so old it barely worked). Weren’t allowed to even flush boat motors but caretakers can high pressure clean there jet ski whenever. And they weren’t happy when asked for more toilet roll (only 2 supplied for 8 day stay) or towels/tea towels etc. if I’m paying that kind of money I’d expect a little bit of basics

Nothing at all terrible accommodation

Misleading advertising photos different to the reality accommodation very poor ripped carpet tiles broken in bathroom TV not working very worn and stained furniture very depressing no reception personnel to speak to rang the contact number no answer so bad we could not stay in the room left immediately and returned the key in the lock box asking for a full refund. Had to find emergency accommodation elsewhere went to Heritage resort had to pay for two rooms $400 for the night and told them about the Shark Bay cottages and they always get complaints about the poor accommodation there has a bad reputation over charging we paid $550 for 2 night a absolute rip off .We chad to cut our trip short and was a disappointing end to our holiday.

Location was beautiful

The first cottage, Dory, was well below standard. We couldn’t stay there. However, after a phone call to the hosts, we were offered a renovated cottage at $45 more per night. Although better, there was no comfortable seating inside. Not suitable for a couple .

Absolutely nothing like the photos. We were so disgusted by the bathroom, we left within 20 minutes and drove 4hrs to another accomodation. The photos of the cabin on booking.com wete misleading. The Dugong cabin was nothing like the ones on the booking.com site

We enjoyed the location as it was walking distance to everything, we appreciated the note from the hosts and the accessibility to contact them if needed. The pricing is completely fair and we understood that good things take time and know the hosts intent to upgrade the business.

We found the unit to have amazing views of the ocean and you can hear the waves. But as soon as you look inside your unit, you are not longer in holiday mode. The units are tired and outdated. While it was amazing to have a couch it was broken, stained and sagged in the middle, linen was clean but clearly worn and outdated and needed replacement. We found the cooking essentials helpful and kitchen well stocked with plates and cups. The oven however is on the way out and we weren't brave enough to use it. The fridge was awesome and loved it was full size. The window over the kitchen sink does not lock and is not secure and traveling with small kids this made me incredibly worried. The bathroom is really in need of a good scrub out and i really didn't feel cleaner after my shower. Again just needing a bit of tlc and new shower head etc. We were held hostage during the night by a cockroach and after he was murdered we were ready to go home. I do believe he snuck in from outside and it's not something we felt wasn't being managed. We Believe if your looking for affordable family accommodation by the beach or a pit stop on the way this place has really neat things going for it, you can relax as you know your children won't damage anything and it's cottage beach vibes are beautiful but it really just needs attention to detail and a good scub. We would like to return in the future and see how it's been facelifted over the next while as our understanding was the owners haven't long taken over and have big wonderful plans to bring it to life.
