This place is too far from all the attractions. It was inconvenient at night, you either rent a car or catch an uber/cab for the night life. The property owner was very friendly, and he accommodated us allowing us to check in early and stay late the day we left. Thank you so much Bruce.

The house is beautiful, relaxing and quiet. If you like to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner it is within walking distance. The owner of the house goes above and beyond to help and a very sweet guy. I loved the house and the home owner. I couldn't have ask for a better place to stay. Thank you vrbo for having such a great place to stay and a pleasant owner.

We were there for a Moose Convention. We called Bruce on the phone to speak with him about the reservation. He was accurate, accommodating and very Knowledgeable about the area. The house was immaculate. Directions were great. We love the Victorian decor. The nicest part, was that everything worked...The fans, the AC, TV directions were laid out in plain view. We will definitely get back in touch with him when we come back again. You couldn't ask for a better host.

Bruce is easy and friendly to deal with. The house is clean, spacious and in a great neighborhood with lots to offer (food, coffee shop, location, local bar). I do wish the beds were a bit larger, but that's a small complaint amongst all the positives of staying here.

Location was exactly what we wanted. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. Beds were comfortable. Check in was super easy.

Arrived early, owner allowed us to check in early. Location was great plentiful restaurants and bars in area. About a 7 minute walk to the ferry to get to Canal Street and Bourbon street. The house was clean and amazing. Will stay again if ever in the area!

Nice and quiet neighborhood and is close to everything, the ferry is 4 blocks walk and a taco stand across the street and coffee shop around the corner and another 2 blocks away. Will stay there again.

Getting our entrance code and entering the house was easily accomplished. We arrived late, but Bruce had left the lights on for us, and it was very welcoming. The home was as listed, very spacious and beautifully and comfortably outfitted. We had 6 people, but it never felt crowded. We tried several neighborhood restaurants and found them to be affordable and tasty. Walking distance was nice! The ferry was also within walking distance. Cleaing up and use directions were very clear. We needed to leave a little later than 11, and Bruce was very accommodating

The check in process was simple. The rules were clearly posted. The location was nice and quiet but really close to the water. Bruce was very easy to communicate with and very accommodating. Ill definitely use this place for all of my future visits.

The house is beautiful and close to the ferry to get to anywhere where you need in New Orleans. The neighborhood is quiet and lots of restaurants are in the area to choose from.

Pictures do not do the home justice. Great property. Ideal location to be close to the city but not in the city. Short walk and even shorter drive to the ferry. Utilize the Le Pass app and purchase a Jazzy pass for the day. It takes care of all public transit for up to 24 hours from purchase. Overall, the home was perfect for our trip to NOLA. We will definitely be coming back.
Some pro tips for out of towners lol
- Its hot. If you go in the summer months, prepare to sweat, sweat, and sweat some more. The humidity is unreal.
- If you sleep with a fan, you will need to bring your own. There are ceiling fans in the home, but not in all the bedrooms. The house was cool, but our hot-blooded spouses preferred the extra breeze in the room.
- Food around the area is great. We really liked Copeland's, Barracuda Taco, and Common Grounds.
- Don't just go to Bourbon and Canal. Explore places on the WestBank. Gretna has a lot of history, as well as Algiers.

House matched description, very cozy. Multiple steps to climb, but this can be seen in the pictures. Big kitchen, nice dining table, living room is like a sitting area, comfortable furniture. House was clean, there are notes warning not to leave food out, so we kept everything in the fridge. Taco stand right across the street, and several other eateries within walking distance. Neighborhood felt safe, neighbors were very nice, home owner quick to reply. Directions given were accurate. About 5 minutes to the ferry, which brings you to Canal street, next to aquarium. It was $8 for 3 days to access ferry, buses and streetcars. Will definitely stay here again. Thanks!

Super clean comfortable and spacious house in lovely historic convenient area. Easy walk to ferry for the French Quarter, great coffee (freshly roasted at Congregation Coffee) and delicious food, especially Tonti’s Cocktail Bar and Bistro, Tout de Suite Cafe and Barracuda Taco Stand. Highly recommend

Beautiful home in a quite neighborhood. Awesome taco and coffee shop nearby. Great place to relax after a long day or night in the French Quarter.

The unit was as beautiful a the pictures. The beds were very comfortable and the location was superb. We went to the French Quarters every day and took the ferry over. The walk to the ferry was about 5 blocks (easy walk) and we got a 3-day La Pass for the RTA which included unlimited rides by ferry, bus and streetcar. Down the street from the property was a Taco stand which was a great place to eat. There was a fantastic place to get breakfast and lunch about 2 blocks away. Perfect vacation and perfect place to stay. Thanks Bruce for all of your help to make that happen!

House was exactly as advertised. Nice neighborhood with food and coffee within walking distance. Bruce was great to work with. Highly recommend!

The house is as beautiful as its photos on VRBO. We had no real issues during our stay. Bruce emailed the sign in code before we arrived and we were in the house within seconds of arriving. All the essentials were there, there were plenty of towels, the sheets were clean and comfortable- the beds were wonderfully comfortable.
Bruce was having some work done to the exterior of the house but that didn’t disturb us in the least we were out and about while the workers were there.
The location of the house is perfect. A quiet residential neighborhood within walking distance to the ferry over to the French Quarter. We purchased 7 day Jazzy Passes, which paid for our ferry rides and all bus and street car rides. As we rode the ferry daily, it saved us quite a bit.
Thank you Bruce for sharing your home with us. Will not hesitate to rent it again if we return to New Orleans

The home is lovely and nicely updated. We all were very comfortable there and you can’t beat the location.

Great stay at a great price. If you’re looking for a place not too far away from Bourbon Street fun but want to be able to get some peaceful rest, this is it. Bruce was on top of everything and made the stay a wonderful experience. Just a short walk to the ferry and even shorter walk to great coffee and breakfast joints. The Crown & Anchor English pub and Barracuda Taco stand are the hidden gems of Algiers Point. Definitely recommend this home and will return again if/when we plan another New Orleans trip.

We enjoyed the charm of the older style furniture, and it was comfortable.
The location was great with the Ferry being within walking distance.

Enjoyed the neighborhood restaurants and ferry access to the French Quarter was so convenient.

Loved the two full baths and one half bath. A must for my family trip with 5 adults. The kitchen is quite spacious and so are the rooms. Steps away from a great lunch/dinner spot. A great breakfast spot is around the corner too. Trust me they don’t disappoint. There’s a 7 -10 minute walk depending on your pace to the reasonably priced ferry that leaves on the hour and half hour. The ride over is about 5 minutes. It places you in the heart of New Orleans. You’ll need to Uber back if you stay past 9:30 or 10 but it doesn’t cost much. If you choose not to take the ferry still take the walk at some point to see an amazing sunset. Although not an issue for us one bedroom requires you to walk through either of the other two bedrooms to access the kitchen, dining room, and living room but not the bathroom. You have to take stairs to get in the house and you don’t have to worry about someone above you. Loved the extra thoughtful touches such as enough toilet paper for our entire 4 day stay, air freshener, plenty of towels, and cleaning supplies. Also felt safe in the neighborhood. There’s stores for any needed supplies within 2.5 miles as well. A neighborhood grocery is around the corner. Would stay here again.

3 couples of old friends who were there for one's 50th birthday. You stay in Algiers Point so that you are in a nice low key neighborhood with great access to New Orleans proper by ferry (make sure ahead of time that the ferry meets your desired hours or you'll be doing the uber/lyft thing, which is fine b/c it's not expensive.) Bruce's place meets this need perfectly. You'll have the upper floor of the house (no lower guests while we were there.) Comfortable, traditional decor with nice bathrooms and kitchen. Would it have been nice to have a corkscrew, curtains in the living/dining area, and a couple of extra blankets? Yes, but that it is truly nit-picking about a great place and owner. Highly recommended.

I really enjoyed my stay, the house was wonderful. Will stay again if i ever came back to New Orleans

House was perfect location for our time there. Our daughter got married on Algiers Point and we were within walking distance of all festivities. Having restaurants close by was such a plus and we never tired of Baracuda taco stand! Breakfast at Tout de Suite was our daily go to. Delicious!!
Only negative we can note was the early mornings wake up call by the rooster next door. Might be something our host could address with neighbor.

This was the perfect location to gather for thanksgiving with daughters that live in Algiers point. We walked everywhere! The neighborhood is charming, safe and very friendly. Loved being here!

The property was very convenient to the ferry (10 minute walk) a very eclectic house with period furniture. The property owner is very responsive and very good to work with. Would highly recommend this property.

Love the house. Perfect location. Furniture needs some repairs. Definitely would stay again and again.

Perfect location! Beautiful home, very comfortable. Easy and prompt communication with property manager. Friendly neighborhood. Tout de Suite so close is AWESOME for breakfast! Suggestion for the back bedroom: heavier curtains would provide needed privacy with lights on at night.

The property was exactly as advertised. We especially loved the location. It was just 5 short blocks to the Algiers Point Ferry and a 5 minute ferry ride to downtown at Canal St. So with Jazzy Passes we parked our car and took the ferry each morning. It sure beat fighting traffic driving over the bridge. We can do enough of that when not on vacation!
Our host also provided clear directions to drive to the house since our GPS, for some unknown reason, could not find the address to guide us to our destination.

This was the perfect location to stay for our annual girls trip. A nice quiet but friendly neighborhood just a 6 to 7 minute walk from the ferry. The home was a perfect size for the 3 of us so that we each had our own bedroom and private space. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the mornings before our day started. The ferry made it easy to cross the river and pick up the trolley for a short ride to the French Quarter and market. Purchasing a 7 day LePass ticket for unlimited ferry, trolley and bus access made getting around the city super easy and for late nights out we used Lyft/Uber rides to get back to the house.
Bruce was a fantastic host providing several restaurant recommends which we enjoyed and he responded quickly to any questions or inquiries. Our check in/out process was easy with no issues. We will definitely keep Bruce and his property in mind for future visits.

Absolutely lovely home. A quiet place to relax away from the NOLA crowds at the end of each busy day. Would definitely recommend.

Very clean, well maintained property with a fantastic location. It could use some curtains in the main living area to help reduce the summer heat.
Plenty of room for our two couple and again we can't say enough good things about the property.
