This house was perfect for our family week away! We had a few rainy days so the large living room and dining room were great for everyone to hangout and play games in. The outside space was awesome for dinners and lounging after the kiddos went to bed. I would highly recommend this house for families!

We had a wonderful stay in this home and really enjoyed our summer vacation in Maine. The property itself was just what we needed for a home base while we were at the beach or exploring Maine. The neighborhood was just ok, but we weren't really around enough to have it bother us. The water pressure upstairs in the half bath made the sink basically unusable, but we just used the bathroom on the first floor and loved the outdoor shower too! My only other issue is that two of the four bedrooms did not have air conditioning and it was hot. There were a few nights that one of the bedrooms was not usable because of this. I just wish that was made clear upfront. Other than those few minor things, the place was great! There was plenty of beach stuff - chairs and wagon that we would've used if we walked to the beach. We’ve stayed here every year for the past three years. Quick walk away from the beach. Beautiful fenced in backyard. Jeff the host is awesome. Extremely responsive and helpful. Our whole family loves it.

Our family, which includes 3 generations, has stayed in this home multiple times throughout the years. We have also tried other houses in the area and we keep returning back to Jeff’s house. This house is very comfortable and there is plenty of room to hold all of us. The location is great, close to the beach and everything else. The home is clean, welcoming, fully stocked, and has a great backyard for our kids to all play. We would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to have a stress free vacation in OOB! We arrived at the house and it was very clean. There was plenty of room for all of is in the large living room and there was a lot of room for all of us at the dinning room table for dinner and games at night. The back yard was a great size for the dog to run around and they had lots of yard games to use including corn hole. The downstairs bedroom was a little warm so we kept the fan running. Two of the upstairs bedrooms had window AC and were cool and the other had a fan and seemed to stay cool for our grandson. It was around an 8 to 10 minute walk to the beach as advertised and we made the walk with their provided chair buggy one day and then parked by the beach the other days. It was a very hot week outside so we wanted the AC in the car to go to the beach and back. Over all we really enjoyed our stay at the house and it was just as described. Thanks for the great time.

It's an old home, so there is character to the place. The back yard was a nice place to hold family dinners and the kitchen was well stocked with necessary pots, pans and so forth. While the photos on VRBO are accurate, there are a few noteworthy items future renters should take into consideration. The dishwasher in the kitchen is not attached to the wall and will fall out when you try to load it. We chose to use the sink to wash the dishes so as to not cause more issues. The half bath sink faucet in the upstairs bedroom lacks water pressure -- regardless of whether anything else is running or not. This was brought up with the owner, who felt it was the City's issue. Given that this is Maine, even in the summer, plan to pack a few blankets. We made a Target run for these!

We love staying here. Close to the beach. Big fenced in backyard. Lots to do. We will be coming back!

We rented here primarily for the backyard and it's location close to the Pier and attractions. If you have kids and/or pets this is a great place to stay. Short drive to Ocean Park for free parking and great uncrowded beaches. 10-12 minute walk to the main center of arcades and shops. Great playground and dog park within walking distance.

The grass needed to be cut. I thought there was suppose to be a volleyball net set up if so it wasn't. Kitchen draws were dirty. Other than that we enjoyed our stay and it was nice to come home to a quiet neighborhood.

Owner very responsive. Great house for large groups. Huge backyard. Games for inside & outside. Linens & beds all very comfy.

Great spot for a family vacation, walk to the beach and pier, close to Portland, York, Kittery and Portsmouth. The house is very comfortable and worked out great for my family.

This property has plenty of room for 7 adults. Jeff was very attentive and was able to help us with whatever we needed. Its about a 15-20 minute walk to the beach, but far enough away where you're not bothered by the hustle and bustle of downtown. Overall great stay!

The house was as described and was super clean. Plenty of space for our family of six plus nice fenced in yard for the dog! The shelving in dining room and kitchen added great storage. Owners provided beach chairs, games, bed linens and towels which was much appreciated. It was a little walk to the beach but not too far and we actually preferred not being so close to the pier since it was quiet. Recommend!

Perfect place for our vacation. Big, clean house, fenced in backyard our two dogs loved. Close to the beach and restaurants. Washer and dryer on site. The owner, Jeff, is awesome to deal with and extremely responsive. We loved it here and would definitely stay again!

This stay met and exceeded our expectations. The space was large enough to accommodate our large family of 8 but still quaint enough to feel cozy and at home. The close proximity to the beach was definitely a winner for us. My wife and the kids were even able to walk to the beach on one of their all-day visits. The house was stocked with everything you'd expect to find at a vacation rental. Dealing with the property manager was an easy and pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend staying here and will certainly try booking again when we're in the area.

Planned a weekend get away with my children and there children. The house was very clean and spacious for all of us. Loved the yard it was an extra bonus for the beach. A little far to the beach for walking with the whole crew. So we took the car parked close to beach for $15 a day. We were very happy with our stay.

House was exactly what we needed for our long weekend stay in OOB. Very clean and spacious. Owner made the process very easy and was responsive to any questions we had. Yard was large and well utilized by our dogs. We enjoyed the various yard games and grilled out every night. Will definitely book again next season.

We enjoyed the large garden where the dogs could run and play, since they had to stay on leash when going to the dog friendly beaches nearby. We appreciated the roomy space of the causy interior and being able to have the morning coffee sitting on the swing chair at the front porch! The shower bath tub would not drain easily, though and the dishwasher made strange noises and would have to be checked, I guess. We enjoyed very much our stay and look foreward to come back next year for a longer stay! Thanks a lot, Jeff! Hope to see you next year!

Great location within walking distance to the beach and to Old Orchard Pier where there are lots of tourist attractions. The cottage was very spacious- we were six adults and three children.

Our family has rented houses all over the globe using VRBO and have stayed at so many great houses, apartments and condos, including houses in other beach communities in Maine, NJ, Delaware, the Carolinas, Hawaii and Portugal. This house was OK for a beach vacation getaway vacation. Fairly clean (although the drains were all backed up and we had to do our own plumbing on the first remedy the issues - removal of huge wad of hair and slime from the sink and repeated application of Draino to the tub; and there were some cobwebs here and there), but weirdly furnished (no dresser in one room, odd lot of dishes, cups, glasses and utensils, etc.). We tended to live out of the suitcases rather than feel that we were really 'at home'. Although Jeff was very responsive when we called with questions or problems, we felt that when you are paying a pretty premium price, these things should not be ones you face on vacation. Although only 1/2 mile to the beach, it was not a walk that you want to do with all your beach stuff, so the daily ride to find closer parking and having to pay for it sometimes was a bit of a drag. Also, trying to rearrange cars to be in the narrow driveway of the house (since there was no off street parking) was not ideal. Looking around, there seemed to be many places much closer to the beach for the same or less money. Next time we'll plan earlier and look in Ocean Park or Pine Point.

The house is very spacious and well kept. There was plenty of room for all 10 of my family members. The yard was great for my 2 kids and my moms dog to run around in. It's close to everything. We had no complaints about anything. Driveway had enough room for 4 big vehicles. Cant wait to go next year.

property was well maintained and served 8 adults quite well. The back yard with picnic table etc. was very enjoyable for kin visiting us including a 10 mo.old great grandson! Place is centrally located to everything down town. 2 a.c.s up stairs and 1 down kept every one cool. Thanks Jeff.

We had a wonderful time. Easy walk to everything, including the beach, pier, and amusement park. The owner was very responsive and friendly. The neighboring houses are very close, and the only parking is the single-file driveway, but that is typical of the area. (This property's driveway could accommodate up to 5 cars, as noted in another review.) The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors seem pleasant.

Our first impression was that the property was small and tuck away on a small side street. It was actually really spacious inside and there huge backyard, definitely great for any pets and kids to run around. We enjoyed our stay there, even though the weather wasn’t that great. We walked to the beach every day, we took the kids to the basketball court and hung out around the playground. We got many lobsters and clams near by- all walking distance. There were plenty of parking space for 4-5 cars. Jeff has the place stock up.

Very comfortable house with large backyard. Comes equipped with everything you need. The owner was always timely and helpful with his responses. My family and I would definitely stay here again.

We celebrated an adult b-day, and enjoyed the spacious back yard and walked to the pier every day/night. We packed a car, and drove/parked when we went to the beach. We were able to fit 5 cars in the driveway (packed them in real good)...bring fans since 2 of the rooms do NOT have window AC's. We will be back, thanks Jeff!!!
