This was a great place to stay. I would highly recommend it for large groups of people and people with children.

Words fail to express how extraordinary this house is. Bear and Lisa were awesome hosts and made sure we had everything we needed from start to finish. Our group of 28 had a wonderful time in the Bear Den and Cub House. Close enough to the park and West Yellowstone for great day trips. Remote enough to feel like we were away from it all.

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home, and many activities were nearby (raft, UTV, etc.). It's only 30 mins from YNP West Entrance. The host was responsive to all our questions regarding the property. Excellent place for kids to hang out - lots of bunk beds, and every room has its own bathroom. The kitchen has all the essentials and much more items.

We flew home and haven’t begun to unpack our bags. However, we’ve been unpacking memories from Idaho to Atlanta. There are not enough superlatives in my vocabulary to adequately describe this beautifully appointed home or the wonderful caring and attentive hosts. We’ve stayed in many VBRO homes, but this was largest with9 bedrooms, 7 baths beautifully artwork. The kitchen had everything from huge Instapot, every size of pot and pan imaginable, 2 refrigerators and even a Bosche dishwasher. And, I forgot to mention 2 huge clothes washers and dryers. Lisa and Bear were excellent hosts and even brought us warm, out of the oven, coffee cake! They responded to questions within minutes and had great suggestions for daily sightseeing. We would go back in a heart beat and anyone looking for a great place to vacation should check it out. They also have The Cub House on the same property.

We were delighted with the cabin. It accommodated our large, diverse group very well. The cabin is very well stocked. Family members commented on the cleanliness of the cabin and how comfortable the beds were. The owners were very responsive to our needs. We were very happy with this choice.

This amazing property that has been perfectly renovated and is sparkling clean! It is apparent that our incredible hosts, Lisa and Bear, have put their heart and souls into this property and have thought of everything including high quality linens, towels and a well-stocked kitchen. We loved sitting on the porch and enjoying the amazing views, gathering for meals at the beautiful dining table, and hanging out in the evening around the fire pit. We had a wonderful stay and will be back! I highly recommend The Bear Den!!!

We couldn't have chosen a better place to have our 2021 Family Reunion! The weather in Island Park was very cold and raining . We were happy to see the cabin was large enough to hold everyone and all adults had their own bedroom and bath plus all the youth and children had beds and had a great time together! We loved the long table where we could eat together and play several different board games and still be together! The pool table was great for the youth but also several of the adults! The play set out back was enjoyed by our little ones! The kitchen was well supplied. We would definitely rent this property again!

The place was better than the pictures. We had our family there and it accommodated us all, ages 2 to 81. It was large enough that we didn’t feel crowded. The hosts are amazing. Quick responses to all our concerns. And a welcome package of all the ingredients for s’mores. All in all, wonderful.

The property is absolutely beautiful with views of the mountains in the distance. The home is gorgeous and very well-maintained and updated. Randy and Lisa were great at helping us if needed and to answer questions. It was large enough to house our 30+ with room to spare! Definitely a place we would return to time and again. Close to west entrance of Yellowstone.

We had a great time at this property. There were some minor glitches here and there but communication with Lisa was great and things were taken care of very quickly. We played games, ate lots of food, had s'mores at the fire bowl and did lots of family competitions of baseball and cornhole. Had a great time. Our only major glitch was that when we made our reservation, it included the building out back that had 2 more bedrooms. We received word in May that those bedrooms were no longer part of the rental but by then it was too late to relocate. We had plenty of beds (even had extras) but the loss of the bedrooms meant that a couple of our adult children had to bunk in the same room. It wasn't a huge issue but it was an issue due to lack of personal privacy. It would have been nice to have received some compensation for that change in the venue. Other than that, we highly recommend this location and would say that Randy and Lisa were great hosts.

This how was perfect for our large group. There were plenty of rooms and beds and we enjoyed all the space to play and make s'mores. I would have appreciated a little more details about the check out expectations. All in all it was a great stay!

Wonderful newly updated and perfect for our family reunion of 38 people. Couldn’t have asked for anything better. Bear and Lisa have outdone themselves in making this a place for all ages!

Awesome place with the perfect number of rooms, bathrooms, and open gathering area. Clean and easy. Close to Yellowstone for a day trip around the park. Very close to Mack’s Inn to float the river. Great time!

Great property met all of our needs, plenty of beds for our Scouts to spread out on. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment. Towels were awesome, bathrooms clean and spacious shower. Hosts went out of way to help our group.

This cabin was the perfect size for our large family gathering. The cabin was clean and the hosts were friendly and accommodating.

We have a large group that gathers for New Years every year and we have finally found a house that we all agree we'd stay in again! It wasn't the most luxurious place we've stayed, but the layout and location are perfect. The kitchen has every possible appliance, plenty of dishes for a large group and tons of seating. The numerous bathrooms were a HUGE hit and every room was well furnished. We also loved the large entryway with tons of benches and hooks and an extra refridge. The linens could be updated and the kitchen could have been cleaner, but those weren't deal-breakers. We'd definitely stay here again.

This is our second time staying at this property. My wife loves it. Plenty of room for the kids and grandkids. Lots of room and table space for eating together.

The property owner was great to work with. Plenty of beds for a large family. The only downside is the multiple sets of stairs, but other than that it was a great facility to stay in with our family we had a great time there!

All of our family came from Texas to go to Yellowstone. House is a good location away from the busyness of Island Park. We enjoyed the house and had plenty of room for the 29 people we had there.

We had 29 people and the property was perfect for a large group. It was just like in the pictures and we would stay again in the future. The wifi worked well and the house was equipped with everything you need.

Could be cleaner and needs some updating. I suggest having it sprayed for bugs. We killed lots of spiders. But plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and own bathrooms which is really nice.

The cabin was great. It was large enough for our family reunion. It was so nice to have a bathroom with each bedroom and the kitchen had everything we needed to feed the crew. The cabin and grounds were well kept. Thanks for a great time.

Property is rough. Muddy driveway, siding falling off, Kitchen and eating area are small/ not much room around tables to come and go. for as many bedrooms as there are it would be nice if they were larger. On the bright side... Playroom, bedrooms and decks are nice. The outbuilding is nice! We let the noisy girls stay out there. The WiFi was great. There are two nice big flat screen TVs with dish. The location is great! Easy access to lots of fun places! I would like to stay again sometime!

The cabin was super easy to check-in to. We had a large group for our family reunion and everyone commented on how great the cabin was. Thank you for the great experience!

Big, beautiful home and property. Well stocked kitchen. Plenty of towels and bedding. Extra tables and folding chairs available in storage area. Dining room had 3 large wooden tables with 24 wooden chairs. Fireplace (we didn't use) was large and looked so nice for a winter stay! 2 jet tubs in main level bathrooms were broken...no controls visible, but would kick on and make loud noises for 5-10 minutes at random times of the day and night! Lower level floor was filthy when we got there, one bedroom and bathroom not cleaned with cleaning products setting in the bathroom. Outside garbage container was overflowing with trash! I took pictures and sent to the owner. He didn't seem concerned. Someone came and picked up last weeks trash on Monday evening. Lower level furnace didn't appear to be working. Lots of light fixtures had burned out bulbs and webs from years of not cleaning them. Brought to owners attention and again, didn't seem too concerned. Said it was fine when he was there in May. Again....spacious, beautiful home with lots of room to play games outside, nice large firepit with four big new benches. We had 24 family members there and had plenty of room in the main house and didn't use the cabin on the property. For the price I paid, I would've preferred cleaner.

We had a great time at this property. The house had so much room that the kids could spread out and play indoors and out. We were close to many other activities including Yellowstone. Great location.
