Studio on Shem Creek with a Deep Water Dock & Views of Freshwater Lake
Ce beau studio au rez-de-chaussée impeccablement rénové sur Shem Creek, au cœur de Mt Pleasant, SC est l'endroit idéal pour découvrir le charme de la Lowcountry. Un grand terrain privé avec des chemins séparés tout au long ont tous ajouté à l'intimité de ce studio. Le studio est situé entre le centre-ville historique de Charleston, les plages de l'île Sullivans et l'île de Palms. Cette propriété pittoresque offre une vue sur un lac d'eau douce de cinq acres, un marais et de magnifiques couchers de soleil. Deux kayaks, deux vélos et deux planches à pagaie sont fournis gratuitement afin que vous puissiez descendre le ruisseau pour dîner ou faire du vélo dans les nombreux restaurants et boutiques du boulevard Coleman. Jackie was very responsive to any questions that we had, especially with the threat of a tropical storm. The studio space was perfect for my husband and me, with a private entrance. The extra added touches were really nice, like beach towels/chairs, shower products and delicious biscuits from a local resturaunt. The location, property and views of the river were beuatiful and we can't wait to for our return visit!

Went down for a weekend trip, and everything about this place was perfect. It was spotless, comfortable and incredibly equipped. The property was lovely and well-manicured. Spent evenings on the dock, playing music and enjoying a drink. We never did get to the kayaks, but the paddle in Shem Creek is always a nice one. In addition, the location was first rate. Minutes away from Shem Creek restaurants, and half-way in between Sullivan's Island beaches and downtown Charleston. And finally, the owners - just extremely pleasant people to work with and/or be around. They were so hospitable. I cannot recall a better rental experience.

My daughter (10) and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The studio had everything we needed and more for a 4-day stay. The bed was super comfortable. The studio was inviting, spacious, very clean, furnished / designed well for guests, and had a wonderful view of the water. The setting on the creek and lake were beautiful and peaceful. We kayaked, ziplined, and sunbathed on the dock. Awesome location to Shem Creek's shops/restaurants and so easy to get to downtown Charleston and IOP. Highly recommend.

We arrived very late. Owners had the light to the studio on for us. The studio was perfect and the grounds were gorgeous. We spent both nights on the dock watching the sunset with a bottle of wine. Perfection. Will happily go back if we’re in the area again.

My fiance & I were down in the Mt. Pleasant area for a wedding and this spot was absolutely perfect, both in location and in the property itself. With both lake and Shem creek views, the property is an oasis and the guest suite is cozy and clean. 10/10 recommend! Thanks for an incredible stay.

They space and property were perfect! My husband said this was one of his favorites and we've been using vacation rentals for years. Very comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, great location and the fire pit was an great extra as was watching the wildlife and listening to the frogs at night. Will definitely book this property again!

We had a quick two night stay in Charleston for my nephew's wedding and lucked into this place. They did a wonderful job with the studio and the backyard was simply tremendous.

Room spacious and clean, comfortable furnishings, modern kitchen and bath with everything you need there.
Great communication with owners Jackie and Chris who we met briefly, very nice. Easy to text with if you need.
The best feature of this property (other than location is close to restaurants and area attractions) to us was the proximity to the pond and creek for bird and wildlife viewing. From the windows of the studio we observed ducks, geese, herons, bald eagles, otters and turtles. From the dock on the creek we observed a pair of dolphins swimming and breaching. We then paddled the kayaks as they swam alongside and very near us. That was so special, just loved it! It’s a great area to kayak either direction to see all kinds of birds as well.
One of the best rentals we have stayed at and we highly recommend it!

This was a perfect location for us - close to downtown shopping & restaurants and close to Isle of Palms for the wedding we were attending. USS Yorktown/Fort Sumter were just down the road as was Fort Moultrie and Sullivan Island beaches.
The studio was very spacious - it didn't even feel like a studio, other than having no walls. The bed was comfortable and it was all well-appointed. We bought wine and enjoyed our own happy hour watching the sunset behind Shem Creek. The frogs and toads were delightfully verbose - just a generally lovely place to stay.

Everything about our stay was amazing! The furnishings and decor were beautiful and so comfortable. The view from inside was gorgeous and the property was so serene, full of so much nature. We were even lucky enough to see an immature bald eagle and a pair of adult bald eagles during our stay. Once on the property, you have absolutely no feeling of being inside a neighborhood; and there is no noise from above, so you really don't feel like you're intruding in anyone's home space. Jackie was so sweet, such a gracious host and responded immediately to any questions we had. If you are contemplating renting this property, don't think any more about it, just do it! We hope to one day be able to return. Thank you Jackie and Chris for opening your home to guests and sharing such a wonderful piece of heaven with others!!

This property is nothing short of amazing. I would compare the studio to staying in a luxury hotel minus the robe. It is as described only better. The host has thought of everything from the smallest detail, to ensure the guests enjoy their stay. We didn’t want to leave the property as there was so much to see and do. Will hopefully be repeat guests!

The studio was great. Impeccably clean, generously stocked with amenities, it had everything (and more) that I needed for my short two day stay. The house and property were beautiful. Jackie was incredible, very communicative, offered up many activities available on the property. She even left homemade honey and fig jam. My daughter wanted those so Jackie graciously gave me more. Wonderful stay, would definitely do it again.

Not sure which was better- the apartment or the setting. Both were outstanding. The level of attention to everything from the kitchenware to the restaurant recommendations to the bathroom organization is top tier.. However, this might be trumped by having your front windows look out at egrets, herons and ducks 30 feet away. The property is very large with lots of seating areas waterside. We didnt get to take advantage of the kayaks this time but will next time. As a bonus, the Charleston WTA tournament is the best around and 15 minutes away. In fact, everything is 15 minutes away from this place and many good restaurants and bars are a 10-15 minute walk away. Was a very memorable 30th annoversary for sure! Met the host briefly as we packed for load out. A delightful person.

Jackie’s place is immaculate and we couldn’t have found a better place to stay! The atmosphere is so so cozy and comfortable! We loved the views from the room and of the marsh! This property is gorgeous! It is a dream location. The water views and wildlife are extraordinary. They have it set up beautifully with picnic and play area. Wish we had more time to use the kayaks, paddle boards and bikes. We enjoyed sitting by the lake and at the fire pit. Dock views of sunsets. The studio is perfect and well designed. So many special touches; homemade honey and jam, fragrant soaps, classic dinnerware and crisp white linens! Super clean. Everything you could ever want and more. We hope to return.

The studio was just beautiful. Very well appointed down to the Callie's buttermilk biscuits in the freezer. The surrounding property is amazing! Very private. You wake up to a beautiful lake and dock. There are bicycles, kayaks, and a firepit in the backyard. The owners were super nice and attentive to all our needs. Shem Creek is hopping with great restaurants and bars right on the water. Just a short drive over the bridge to Charleston. My only regret is that our stay was too short.

Everything about this place is top shelf. The place looks just like the pictures and the view is amazing. A close drive to bars and restaurants. Jackie is a great host, has a book that gives you all the info you need. Would highly recommend this lovely place

Wonderful stay in home studio surrounded by nature. We really enjoyed watching the birds on the fresh water pond outside our door and being able to stroll to cafes and restaurants. We found sitting on the Shem Creek dock to be extremely beautiful and peaceful. Studio had everything that we needed plus more and hosts are very welcoming.

We had a wonderful stay at Jackie’s place. It was tucked back along shem creek, with access to the property (dock, etc). This is our second stay at this VRBO and has become our preferred go to for accommodations on Charleston/Mt Pleasant trips. It’s well appointed, comfortable, clean and the owners have thought of everything in the details of its design. Close to the restaurants and shopping in Shem Creek and Mount Pleasant, and an easy drive over the bridge into town.
It is a studio apartment on the ground level of the owner’s home, but has its own entrance etc. Excellent communication from Jackie too.

I loved my stay in Mount Pleasant. This VRBO is centrally located-just over the bridge from Charleston. The owner and her husband where very helpful and accommodating. The lake and the creek (right outside the windows...) were serene and provided solitary reflection time. Sullivans beach and town are a bike ride away. What a wonderful stay. Love to come again.

The studio is light, bright, and beautifully decorated. Very comfortable. Full kitchen well stocked. The grounds are absolutely outstanding! Great views from studio windows and dock. The fire pit was an amazing place to watch the sunset. The property owners were easy to work with, friendly, but respected our privacy. I would highly recommend and look forward to returning!

I wish I could give this place 10 stars! The apartment was clean and beautiful. The property is in a lovely spot on Shem Creek. My husband and I used the bikes to go to the beach. It was perfect! Jackie is so kind! We will definitely stay again when we come back!

We loved staying at this studio on Shem creek. It was a scene right out of a book with all the picturesque landscape and views. Right down the road to Charleston with some of our most enjoyed eating spots down the road. A must stay, for sure! We will be back.
