Lovely hotel better than my expectations. Immaculately clean & tidy . Quality produce .

The hotel was really lovely and the gardens and the surrounding areas were just beautiful. Everything was decorated to high standard and the room was very comfortable and modern. The staff were lovely and friendly. The location is excellent at it is literally in the middle of Grasmere village.

It isn't something that we didn't like, but just something to be aware of; we arrived back at the hotel at 11:10pm hoping to have a small night cap but unfortunately, there were no staff around at all, only an emergency contact number for the night duty manager. This is the first time that we have come across this, so we were a little disappointed as it meant we were back in our room quite early (for us!) However, this didn't spoil our experience at all, I just wanted to let others know. :)

We loved it all, it was very clean and tidy so shout out to the housekeepers as your doing a fab job, well decorated, modern and well equipped with everything we needed. The view from our room was our favourite we had a lake view room and even had sheep and cows literally outside the window it was amazing. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

Situated in rhe heart of Grasmere with free private parking surrounded by breath taking scenery. Lots of fell walks from the door both easy and more challenging. The hotel has beautiful gardens with outdoor seating areas looking down towards the lake. The hotel itself has been recently refurbished to a very high standard in a modern country style. We stayed in classic Lodge room which is just over the garden from the main hotel and it was modern and immaculate with a porch to hang wet coats and walking boots. The main hotel also has this facility. In the main hotel there is a restaurant and bar withe a good selection of drinks. There are lots of comfy seating areas where you can sit and relax to enjoy a drink or a coffee. The restaurant is table service for both breakfast and dinner and both both menus offer lots of choice cooked in the open plan kitchen where you can watch the chefs cook. The food was of high standard using quality ingredients. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We can highly recommend this hotel and plan to return.

The Breakfast was excellent.

Everything was done via an App. I go on holiday to get away from having to use a mobile phone. Even the menu had to be picked up with an app, I find this very clinical and completely unacceptable. On an evening meal I ordered the Roast Beef it was not up to standard and very tough and chewy, when I complained the restaurant manager said would I like a sharper knife, I do not accept this attitude from a hotel of this standard. On the plus side the ladies who served and took orders were excellent

The overall experience was amazing. Hotel staff is really nice. Breakfast was brilliant and the location is amazing as well.
