Staff are so friendly and helpful, breakfast is delicious with both continental and hot food available. Rooms are clean, comfortable and cosy! Plus in a fab location. Absolutely will come back!

The location is excellent with plenty of car parking space (a bonus in the Lakes). The hotel is clean and comfortable with lots of outdoor space and seating areas.
Not the hotel's or staff's fault but it is very short-staffed. We noticed this in other shops and restaurants. The pleasant and very busy lady who served us at breakfast was also called away on occasion to man the Reception area if customers needed to check out. The cooked breakfast we ordered definitely suffered in waiting for her return!
Good luck in getting extra staff for the summer.

The room was really good good beer garden well located.
Restaurant was a bit small couldn't get in spent money elsewhere plus breakfast should have been included for the price.

Our own space separate to the main building - which suited us having our dog with us. Hot tub access was a bonus - especially when we had it to ourselves on Sunday evening.
Breakfast service on Sunday was slow and some noise from road running behind mews rooms.

Lovely hotel in a great location for lots of walks. We had a very nice evening meal at the restaurant and many drinks in the bar.
The room was a little bit worn/old in places such a bath side was hanging off and tap missing the H cap. Overall this didn’t bother us but just felt like the price for the room was slightly high for the quality. saying that we would probably stay here again if in the area.

The property was very comfortable and welcoming. All facilities were great with lovely touches such as robes in the wardrobe and complementary Gin and Tonics and mince pies when we arrived brought to our room. the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.

Good breakfast and location
Black mould in around shower tray holes in walll filled but not painted over, Noisy radiator. Noise from workmen working in adjacent room and loud radio.

Excellent location in the heart of Grasmere and dog-friendly. Although the breakfast area doesn’t allow dogs, you can sit in a separate lounge instead.
There are some very tired areas requiring renovation/redecoration. We visited the same time last year and the same area of water damaged ceiling was still there. Also, staff are very thin on the ground, but we never went without anything we needed.

The room wasn’t clean there was spiders in all corners of the bathroom walls, blood on wall in bathroom and on toilet seat. Didn’t supply with clean towels on second day.
