Beautiful, tranquil and well kept. Whole area is lovely. Road to get there was awful. Lots of potholes, but I believe work on it is in progress.
Better selection on white wines, and more choices. We drank a Sauvignon Blanc of 2019.

Road to get there is quite a journey ( although beautiful ) ; should you advise your guests to have a proper car to get to you ☺️

The room was great. Very warm in the evening and morning on a cold winter’s day.
No Wi-Fi or 3G in the room. Tv was fuzzy. Food was average. Very difficult drive in surrounding area to property. We were only told about the spa as this was on the way to our room, we weren’t told about the hikes / other activities.

Best service, attention to detail and the most welcoming staff we have experienced in South Africa. Loved the food and the absolute joy on chef Tuli's face, when describing the process and cook of the evening meals.
The weather was cold, just a bit unusual as it rained the first day. However the rest of the stay was sunny with beautiful views on the lake and mountains.

The food and the chef chatting to us each night about the meals, makes the stay very special and indulgent. Loved the wine cellar and all the fire places.

absolutely amazing stay, beautiful rooms, with wood fires that were lit for you, delicious dinner with pre drinks first and then the menu explained in full detail, warm and cosy and the breakfast was next level delicious.. cannot wait to go back. best stay

Absolutely incredible stay. The property is wonderfully furnished, located right on the river and 5mins drive from the spectacular Highmoor Nature Reserve. The scenery is spectacular!
