We have stayed at the Ultimo before and we love the location and the hotel is quaint. A 10-15 minute walk, from Central Station, opposite Paddy's market, and close to the Tram and close to Barangaroo. a quick walk into town, if you don't mind walking. The apartment was spacious this time and had tea, coffee, milk, shampoo, etc in the bathroom. Staff were polite and helpful and we could leave our bags at reception after check out. Thank you.

There was some renovation on the 2nd floor and the first morning we were there, they were drilling at 8 am. It would have been better if they began working at around 10 am when guests were checking out. There were no instructions on whether to leave towels hanging or on the floor, only a sign for the door advising whether the room was to be cleaned or not. As the shower screen is not long enough, water escapes onto the shower floor and therefore the towels we placed on the floor were quite wet. We hung our towels on the shower screen in the hope that they would be changed or dry; the towels were not changed, on the first day. The second day we left them on the floor and then they were changed. The bed was made, but only half-heartedly, and although the milk was replenished in the fridge, and the rubbish was taken out, the tea and coffee were not and the cups were not washed. The WIFI died on the 3rd morning but was soon fixed, however, we had to continue to log in everytime we came back to the hotel. Attention to detail!

Very convenient location for getting around the city. The room was clean and well serviced. Lobby staff were brilliant, very helpful and friendly.

Great Location, value for money and friendly staff.

The rooms are a little dated

I stay at The Ultimo reasonably often for business trips. It is within 6-7 minutes walk of Central station, it is comfortable, and there are great places for a meal out nearby. This time we stayed while on holiday, and because we were there for several days, we really experienced the team and facilities. The Ultimo front desk team are friendly and always helpful. We had a large room with comfortable beds and a great shower. This is an old (historic) building that has been renovated, so it has real character as well. We loved the location - Ultimo, Chinatown, and Darling Square are all within quick and easy walking distance.

I liked the location, the staff, and bed. The staff assisted with a mix up on Booking.com and helped me to figure out the refund. The main bed we stayed in was very comfy.

the room layout was sort of odd with one large kind bed and two smaller single beds - but seems silly to complain about having more space.

Rooms had everything you need, were well serviced, clean, and well sized and bed was very comfortable. Room was relatively quiet despite being only 10 min walk from Central station, light rail and Darlin Harbour. Reception staff were lovely and helpful.

Hotel was very nice, modern interiors. Facilities were modern, very clean and spacious. Room was very spacious and comfortable. 5-8min walk from central station, 2mins from tram. Great location Laundry room with snack machine is a great touch! Front desk staff friendly and helpful.

The loction

I took a white plastic cup from the mini fridge and saw lipstick stain on it. So i left it on the table and uses another cup. When I return from work the room is tidy up. But I've find the lipstick stain cup back in the fridge! The cleaner just simply put the cup back! And there are many fruit fly in the room. Despite everything appear to be clean.

Excellent stylish boutique hotel in a great location.

Great location and good price with a clean room.

The noise from other guests on my floor and the floor above, banging doors, yelling until 5am. Made it a bit scary as a solo guest.
