The location was good and the receptionist was friendly. With this being said, there are loads of accommodation options around this same location so I wouldn’t opt for this one again.

It is very dated and not very clean. The shower drain was so clogged with hair that the water pooled in the base of the shower. The shower head was really loose also and the pressure wasn’t great.

It was not great. Average. The sheets were damp. Not cold. Damp. As if they were taken from the dryer too soon. The shower pressure was not great. It was cold . The Internet connection didn't work either. I asked for additional milk for my sons cereal ( we had brought with us ) as we only got a tiny drinking carton. We were told that we 'got just enough ' So, no breaky for son until we could stop at another place. It was just a stop off. But, I would only go back if I needed a place to bed down and there were no other options. Also, our bathroom window wouldn't close so it was cold and street noise was bad. And, people who aren't staying there seem to park there's, it's hit and miss if you find a park.

Basically, nothing.

So close to town, lovely & quiet, tidy & spotlessly clean. Awesome shower pressure too!

The room was at the front and there was alot of road noise. Some of the local info was out of date resulting in unexpected costs when dining at a local restaurant.

Big rooms and comfy bed

The staff at Fitzherbert Castle are very accommodating, even to the point of helping me with my luggage. I would thoroughly recommend a stay there. It's my home away from home when I'm in Palmerston North.

Decent sized room with nice windows looking onto elm tree. Greeted by the manager even though he'd finished work.
