Very nice hotel

The service was exceptionally slow.

The Taj Hotel in London is a hotel that makes you feel like it has a policy of assigning bad rooms first, even though it is a 4-star hotel with vacancies. It seems like they have an unfair policy of assigning old rooms first. Koreans are strongly advised not to book accommodations related to Indians. They are so natural in their behavior that they laugh in front of you and deceive you behind your back, making excuses without truth and trust. My first room was on the second floor, with old wooden furniture, narrow windows, a view of the wall of the building next door, constant loud mechanical noises, and a small bathroom with a plastic curtain that made the plastic curtain stick to my skin when I showered. I requested a high floor with a quiet view when I made the reservation, and I strongly requested this to the receptionist, but they said that my rate category would be the highest floor and that only rooms without a view would be available, and that if I wanted a better room, I would have to pay at least 70 pounds more per night. Since I had already paid 290 pounds per night, I just accepted it because the cost burden was too great. The next day, I found out that the building had old rooms and that there weren't many occupants and many empty rooms. The next morning, I got a call from the hotel manager asking if my room was okay. I've been traveling around many European hotels, but this was the first time I've received a call like this, and I realized that the hotel knew that the room wasn't okay. I went to the front desk and asked to change rooms, and they moved me to a new room in a new building with a window on the 4th floor.

The location was great. The room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom spacious. Breakfast was delicious.

Oh my word this hotel drips of opulence and the staff are so helpful and nice the rooms are plush and the food is so good it’s like living in a dream

This is a first rate modern hotel with clean comfortable rooms and a gorgeous courtyard, in a great location. Professional staff and terrific concierge. Very cold AC for Summer. Excellent bathrooms. The spa area is beautiful, relaxing. I'm not a spa person but the staff there were so welcoming, giving us special fresh brewed tea. The breakfast is expansive and good, and I enjoyed some of the Indian specialties (a first for me) along with all the traditional items. Breakfast is in or around that fabulous courtyard. Location is quiet but within a short walk of Buckingham Palace on one side and to Westminster Abbey, the Thames and center of London on the other. Highly recommend.

Not much to criticize here.

Everything was perfect and had exceeded my expectations! This was by far the best hotel experience I had in the area. I have recommended this hotel to several of my coworkers and friends. I will be staying at this hotel the next time I visit London.

Location was very good. It was very clean and staff were very friendly and helpful.

The room lacked a full length mirror or a mirror away from the drinks area in the bedroom which is unhygienic when hair drying. Service charges were added without telling me first and I had to ask for them to be deducted. Breakfast space is limited for such a large hotel and we had to eat away from the main breakfast bar which then meant that there was limited selection.

Con motivo del 80 cumpleaños de mi madre nos obsequiaron con un Upgrade al hotel de 5* y fue fantástico disfrutar de la suite y de las demás atenciones que nos ofrecieron, incluso con una tarta para celebrarlo. Gracias mil a todos los empleados que nos atendieron

Interior decor was beautiful. Very big and spacious. Hotel had a good smell there was piano playing in the background. Loved walking past the court area. Staff were very friendly and nice. Our room was upgraded which made us very happy.

Excellent selection and the service was great. Nice view from glass pavilion. Mimosas while waiting to be seated. Great job all around. The staff friendliness couldn't be better.

The vitality pool (jacuzzi) is semi-heated - much better than being cold of course... could have been warmer, but the wet and dry sauna were worth using for sure.

Location was continent for me

Room was very dated, only two plugs in the room for charging devices, kettle etc. Breakfast service was terrible every morning. Chipped cups and tea pots, staff forgot to place breakfast orders and we spent 25 min waiting for our order, which made me late. Ordered room service dinners, which were so disappointing. Food a major let down and this was at 19:30, so not like it was after hours. In my opinion, they don’t deserve 5 star rating.

Location and breakfast were very good. Staff were pleasant and well meaning if not entirely efficient. The spa was lovely and we very much appreciated being in the same building as it, as we simply had to catch a lift outside our room directly down to the spa. The building itself was remarkably beautiful inside and out.

Lack of heating. We froze the first night. When I mentioned this to them the next day they sent a technician in our absence but it was still very cold when we returned at the end of the day. I suggested they provide an additional floor heater which took some time to eventuate but heated our room nicely, so we were comfortable the 2nd night. We requested a room with a bath which they acknowledged at check in but when we returned some hours later when our room was prepared it had no bath. It took a little time but the situation was remedied. The reason being that the thoughtful front desk person had bumped us up to a slightly larger room, only without a bath, so kudos for the attempt.

The whole hotel was fantastic. The location, the staff the atmosphere, I couldn't fault it.
