The room was very spacious with comfortable beds and a generous seating area. Ample storage with good quality furniture and lighting. The breakfast was partially buffet with the cooked element ordered from a menu. Both breakfast and evening meal were very good. The best asset this hotel has is its friendly, cheerful and unflappable staff. They handled a very busy weekend cheerfully and efficiently. Thank you to the wonderful Gill who looked after us so well.

The restaurant was closed in the evening which meant the bar area was extremely busy and crowded.

Breakfast was fantastic, great range and the food quality and presentation could only recieve top marks. The restraunt itself had the most beautiful relaxing atmosphere, decor was stunning and staff where so attentive. Dinner we had in the bar and where totaly shocked at how amazing the food was, being in a bar we didn't expect the quality and size portion. My son had a tai green curry which was super tasty, we had a range between fish & chips and chicken supreme and I can't wait to return. Our room was beautiful, the Christmas decor throughout the hotel was just stunning, the whole hotel was stunning. And staff where so on the ball and friendly.

The hotel is obviously run by a family who put the guest first. We had a wonderful quiet and relaxing stay and we will be back again in the future.

The receptionist was very helpful as well as people working in the restaurant / the bar.

I had a great (very short) stay but my colleague told me he didn’t get any breakfast because there was a large group of tourists.

Ate in Johnny Frank's bar on one evening of our stay and despite there being plenty of staff they seemed very unorganized not just for serving our table but also those around us

The seafood chowder was v light on fish. Tried eggs Benedict at breakfast one day - poor - untoasted muffin has gone soggy, hardly any hollandaise sauce and it had been heated under a grill so was like a thin crust instead of a thick creamy sauce. Every other breakfast item was lovely, well sourced, tasty and hot so I think these were just incidental issues.

A hotel is only as good as it’s staff and the staff at meadowlands the staff are exceptional, from house keeping , rooms made every day tea coffee fresh drinks towels.all replenished , unlike some hotels chains, Both a breakfast and dinning quality of food and service of high standard, together with a warm welcome at reception, This is our third visit in two years the high standard remains the same,
