we had a spacious, light filled 3 bedroom apartment with a wonderful huge balcony which had great views of the cliffs and the sea . the hotel is situated in a quiet area with east access to local shops, the coast and lovely restaurants .

The apartment was nice a big , everything in there that you needed. The bottle of wine on arrival was a lovely touch . The staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. Our TV didn't work properly and when we mentioned it to the receptionist it was replaced within 10 mins. The staff on reception were lovely , happy to arrange taxis for you which usual arrived in under 5 mins . Loved our stay here :)

It was nothing to do with the hotel but if you went down to the sea then the hill back up is rather steep. Although the views on the walk down are amazing ! Although I must admit a couple of drinks in the evening helped with the walk back up the hill ;)

They don’t have a barbecue and free parking also the staff are not welcome I don’t recommend because there are hundreds of better hotels don’t waste your money

Lots went wrong! Wi-Fi didn't work (fixed), washing machine sounded like World War 3, door lock froze and locked in room, shower holder broke (fixed), pool freezing (supposedly heated), no bottle opener, limited utensils, babies crying next door at all hours, etc

We have stayed here a few times but first time with son & grandson. The Pool Bar has closed and there is only a small pool and no other facilities but the staff work very hard to keep the place clean. The location is excellent with bus, taxi, supermarkets, bars and restaurants close to hand. This October everything was very quiet and a lot of small businesses have closed but it is a nice area where you can mix with local people and put money into the local economy. The apartments are a bit old-fashioned but have the basics and are clean and comfortable. Staff are excellent. A nice gesture is that they provide a bottle of wine and a bottle of water in your apartment.

I do understand why the pool bar closed - most people buy their snacks from Lidls but it would be nice not to have to leave the complex to buy an ice-lolly or coffee. It's a vicious circle - as numbers of guests fall it is not viable to provide certain services but then people miss them and might go elsewhere.

Clean, quiet, great views and fantastic staff.

Bar near the pool area has gone, along with the pool table. These were open on previous holidays and though not noisy .. we’re a welcome addition around the pool for cool drinks, snacks, a bit of background music and a couple of food night gathering .. paella night and a bbq with entertainment. Its a real shame these have gone (bar still advertised on accommodation description) but we didn’t let this spoil our holiday.

Absolutely everything. Location, the apartment and everything we needed was in it. All the staff are so helpful and kind. Nothing is too hard. Great pool with very friendly Lifeguard. Local restaurants are not too far, supermarkets just across the road. Great gym very nearby, tennis, pool, table tennis too. This was our second time in El Marques Palace in Puerto de Santiago and we cannot wait to go back. We miss it already. Forgot to add that a complimentary bottle of wine is waiting for you in your room when you arrive :).

Staff were amazing, apartment and pool was great! View was exceptional. It is a bit further away from all the tours and tourist attractions, however its the perfect location for a relaxing holiday as its on the quiet side of the island!

Very comfortable large apartments, great balcony with sea view, staff excellent , no fight forSunbeds! Location enabled us to walk to Los Gigantes, and Playa de L'Arena while being in Puerto de Santiago
