The room was very comfortable. The bed was big and the shower was great. We had a sea view( when the tide was in!) which was a really nice outlook. The staff were very friendly.

The information booklet was out dated. There was no mention that they have no room service until we enquired at reception, then told it was a post covid thing, that didn’t make sense. All the information needs to be updated. We tried calling reception with no answer. Which was frustrating. The advertised onsite Italian restaurant was no longer operating. There was another area to dine, but it had no atmosphere and felt like you were sitting in a cafeteria. The Schooner bar needs a total overhaul. The tables, chairs and stools need to be thrown out and replaced. It was all very tacky. It was not an enjoyable place to sit.

Fabulous views of the bay from my room and also the restaurant. There's a nice green lawn between the hotel and the beach, and the walk along the beach is very restful. The close DART station makes getting to Howth and Dublin easy. And there's a grocery store across the street in a shopping Commons, convenient if you need something. The staff was so accomodating when I mistakenly booked fie 1 and not 2.

It seemed difficult for me to get a dairy free alternative for coffee, so I just switched to tea.

The entrance and lobby seemed quite nice. However the room I booked turned out to be nothing like the photographs online. The room was disgusting!

The room was very old and worn with torn carpets, peeling paint, rotting wood around door frames, rotting velux window with black water trails on the walls, cobwebs, grimy dirty walls, windows that didn’t open, sink that didn’t drain, disgusting shower with black mould, dirty carpet, the list goes on!

Breakfast was great and location was was great

While the actual location was great getting in and out of the property was a challenge, four sets of traffic lights right at the entrance. A taxi driver almost collided with us in his attempt to get across the junction and into the hotel car park.

From the first contact at reception to booking out on departure, the staff was on the ball and the facilities are excellent with views to match! The room was perfect in every way with an ensuite providing spacious facilities.

While some may not like the walk to the room, it was not out of the way, but older visitors may require assistance with bags up the stairs!

Quiet, clean, comfortable room, with lovely view over beach. Nice food available in bar area. Nice to have use of a swimming pool. Helpful staff.

Breakfast service was a little chaotic, but the breakfast was very good.

Our room overlooked the sea ,very warm even with the radiator off ,in the Summer could be a problem also getting out with a car is a bit dicey as the hotel sits right on a busy crossroads

Lovely rooms, location, clean, friendly staff and good dinner and breakfast.

Organisation at breakfast not good . Staff pleasant but lacked direction. Both mornings no one came to our table - 2nd morning we had to ask after 20 minutes! Suggest at least one experienced staff member needed to oversee and prevent this.

Most staff did not acknowledge our presence, i.e. no good morning etc. In the restaurant while waiting to be seated, the staff should acknowledge your there and let you know they will be with you shortly.
